We ate too many times here over the years and really recommend to everyone. Great vegan options, flavourful and interesting. Secret tip: Get the mushroom ramen, it's so deep in taste as well as rich with ingredients and textures. Gorilla is also the perfect place to take your non vegan friends and family, everyone will find something here.

The crispy mushroom bao was amazing! Also enjoyed the kimchi/tofu bao. The mushroom magic ramen was okay. It tasted like mushrooms and the portion was very generous with different kinds of mushrooms, although there was really nothing else to it. Unfortunately we did not like the dumplings but all in all definitely happy with our visit!

Delicious vegan food - although the restaurant isn’t fully vegan, there were several vegan options which were all super tasty and fully of flavour! The staff were super friendly and the location is very central. Would 100% go back again!

Great food, staff were attentive and happy to clarify vegan items with the kitchen, nothing was a problem. Huge serves, we took food home as we couldn’t eat it all. Definitely worth a visit in Lagos.

Gorilla was a very positive surprise. I was a bit sceptical due to the cover picture here, it seemed to be that it would be one of those very generic Asian restaurants that you can find everywhere in Portugal. I was actually planning to have dinner somewhere else but it was full, so I had to find a new option.. Was also the last day in Lagos so I really didn't want to spend lots of time searching and ended up going to Gorilla.
Read moreWas a nice surprise when I got there, the venue was modern and cozy. I had never seen the inside as it's in a side street so when you walk in the center you don't really see it.
As we looked at the menu, we could see that they had many vegan options that sounded tasty after reading the description, so we had the challenging process of choosing which ones we would try. We ended up choosing the pad Thai, the pear salad, the dumplings, kimchi and some edamame. Everything was tasty and well prepared, only the edamame could have a little more salt or some salt in the side for people to add at their own taste.
All in all, was a quite nice dinner and I fully recommend it to any vegan in Lagos.

The menu has many vegan options, which is super cool. There's a label for vegetarian/vegan, but some dishes clearly indicate they have a vegan version - it is best to confirm what you want when ordering. For starters we ordered the homemade vegan dumplings and we liked them and the presentation. It could be a good indicator to what was coming next, but unfortunately the main dishes were not spectacular. The vegan pad thai was way too sweet and the massaman didn't taste like it is suppose to. The place was veery crowded and, at some point, they added two tables in the upper space of the restaurant making it difficult even for them to reach some tables - so if you want a calm place this is not it, if you don't mind a lot of noise you can have a nice meal, still.

Asian and fusion food with vegan options for starters and mains but not for desert. Food was quite decent, not amazing but I enjoyed it. Service was very friendly and fast. I see many reviews calling it very expensive, starters were about 7 euro and mains 15, which is not cheap for Portugese standards indeed.

Read moreThe available options are marked on the menu but the problem is it's the same logo both for vegetarian and vegan food so I had to double check with the waitress what was really vegan and what was not.
Apart from that, the food was very good and with good portions.
Prices a bit expensive though

Was nice to see so many vegan options in the menu. For starters we had the vegan dumplings and fried mushrooms - both of them really yummy and made us excited about what was ahead. For the mains we had the vegan pad thai and massaman curry - the former was good but the massaman was weird tasting and didn't seem like the classic dish at all. The main course portion sizes were good but as I didn't like my dish (the massaman) it was a bit too much. The staff was really nice and overall it was a cosy place.

I really wanted to like the food here, but I was pretty disappointed. I had the vegan pad thai, and the dish just had so little flavouring. I asked for some hot sauce, but was given ketchup instead. My boyfriend got the pho, and the broth was very thin and the portion was small. It was very expensive considering what we got. That being said the atmosphere was lovely and the service was great!

Highly recommend the aubergine soba main, it was flavorful and a great mix of textures. So much of the menu is marked clearly with a veg/vegan option which we appreciated. We also tried the pad Thai and it was tasty and loaded with peanuts and sliced veggies and some tofu. Prices are a lil high for Portugal but Lagos is touristy 🤷
