Pancake Tower!! - Edit
This place is a MUST!! The loaded fries with melted cheese is incredible, the omelete was freakishly legit and the pancake tower is definitely recommended to share with 2 others !!

We were only in Auckland for 2 nights so out of all places I’m SUPER glad we came here! The food was insanely tasty and the portions were huge (I couldn’t finish mine which is rare for me)! I would come back here again for sure. Now I’m looking forward to whenever I go back to Auckland 😋

Ownership may have changed hands but the GK hasn’t dropped the excellent standards the founders set. Food is cooked perfectly, taste is on point, portions are the best in the nation, and staff are awesome. This is a gem.
Read moreLast time we were there My partner got the Frida Burger ( a must) and a salad. His only critique was they needed to put more vinegar on the salad but the freshness and amount of greens certainly compensated his issue. I often get the Seizeher Salad and it’s a mountain of deliciousness.
Pros: Entire menu is delicious , You leave super full , Excellent coffee and tea

Amazing!!! Soooo good - Edit
Loved this spot! Such yummy food and kind and helpful staff. We really enjoyed our lunch!! We had some out of this world kombucha! The "Nacho business" and the "Seize her salad", blue berry cupcakes (so good and very pretty) and a delicious iced chocolate! Everything was soo good!! I was surprised at just how big the meals were! Very generous sizes. Highly recommend eating out here! We will definitely be back. Thank you 😊🙏🏼✨

Great place! - Edit
Been here a few times, had several of the salads (really liked the potato salad), had the gorilla filla breakfast with scrambled tofu - yums.
Read moreCouldn't help myself and ordered a piece of rocky road bar - no regrets!
Their pizza slice was okay, but their burrito, which tasted like Chinese BBQ "duck" was fantastic, definitely was not expecting that flavour.
It's a cute little place, lots of goodies in the cabinet/ glass area - vibrant colours and the ingredients all look fresh and tasty.
I wish that I had lots of money and an even bigger stomach to try everything.
Great job!

Cafe style 100% vegan menu, good range of food on menu & in cabinet. Had bruschetta with scrambled tofu which was a large meal, nicely represented & tasty. My friend had Berber Burger, which came with delish herb salted fries.

Lovely place close to our accommodation so it was an absolute gem to find.

If you like burgers then this place is for you as the evening menu has loads of them.

Tasty food, good service - Edit
Every time at Gorilla Kitchen, I received tasty, generously portioned food. I’ve so far had the Frida burger (absolutely amazing), bruschetta which was tasty but standard brunch fare, and the black forest pancakes. It was enormous but a little bit of it was still raw, but given how thick it was, it must be difficult to get right. Nonetheless, I always get good service and it’s a regular spot for me.

Wow what a place!! So wish I lived in Akl just to come here. Pancakes were devine. The worst thing was not being able to fit anything else in as it all looks sooo good. Super friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely be thinking of excuses to travel to Akl more now!

Very tasty food - Edit
The 'phush and chups' was excellent -- the beer batter was perfectly crispy. Very attentive and friendly service too. My only gripe was that I asked for some ketchup with my chips and they failed to tell me they would charge $1 for it. I thought this was a bit cheeky. I'd understand if I asked for vegan aioli, but $1 for ketchup? Hmmm...
