Tasty - Edit
Tofu nuggets are amazing. Don’t sleep on them. Taste almost identical to (what I remember) a McDonalds Chicken Nugget!!! Coconut BLT also very good, has a sweetness factor. Kale Caesar was fine, a bit overdressed and chickpeas had an overwhelming soy sauce flavor. Good vegan stop, excited to try more of the menu.

Not as fancy as they wish they were - Edit
I like the Heartbeet Burger, and the Cauliflower Wings (though they might not be on the menu anymore?). But honestly it's so expensive for what it is. Items are kind of hit or miss. I tried some smoothie there once and it tasted like dirt, but it was like $10 so I drank it anyway. Another time I ordered for pick up through grub hub and they cancelled my order but didn't contact me. I was ordering out for a special occasion too so it was really a bummer. Probably wouldn't go here if it weren't the only vegan place in walking distance.

It’s okay - Edit
If you’re gluten free and vegan I do recommend it. My issue with this place is that it’s not owned by vegans.
Read more(I used to work here) I do feel like you have to integrity if running a vegan restaurant. I saw employees eating cheesesteaks in the kitchen. 🤷🏻♀️ it has some good options I do like the shakes here.

I've had good stuff and I've had stuff I had to throw away. It'[censored] or miss. But I do love that I dont have to worry about gluten here. Staff is friendly amd the atmosphere is quiet and peaceful despite being in town.

Excellent! - Edit
Yummy vegan food, although the cauliflower sandwich fell apart (a hearty bun might do the trick).

Delicious grub and sip - Edit
I got my first delivery from them via Uber Eats (I’m a tired and lazy vegan from Art Basel). I got the Caesar Salad with Quinoa and added a little Buffalo Cauliflower...the dressing was well balanced and tied everything in and better than any non-vegan one I’ve ever had. WHOA.
Read moreAlso got a “Not Your Average Joe” Smoothie, which is pairing well to cool off the heat from the Buffalo sauce and is like a healthy dessert that won’t let me sleep more of today away.
Would give 6 stars if I could! Looking forward to visiting the Brick and Mortar to dine in.
Pros: ALL Vegan , Delicious!, Great price point

Excellent Choice! - Edit
Was in town just to pickup a vehicle I had bought and needed somewhere good to eat, and this was an excellent choice! Nice restaurant and friendly staff. For starters I had the Eggplant Sliders, then went with the Crab Cakes over Greens. For dessert, I tried the Cheesecake and was blown away! Not sure if I'll ever be in that area again, but if so, I'll definitely try again.

Vegan gluten free cafe - Edit
This place is a casual eat-in cafe style eatery that allows you to order at the counter and wait for your food. The folks here are pretty down to earth. Just outside of Philly, it's not surprising they have a good handle on tasty food that is also vegan and gluten free. So, almost anyone can eat here.
Read moreThey have salads, baked goods, sandwiches and entrees. The weekends feature brunch if you have the time to be here.
The food is creative but standard all at the same time. For example, you can have spaghetti and meatballs, but the spaghetti is rice-based noodles and the meatballs are eggplant based. They also have burgers and sandwiches, again, with a novel ingredient or two. The beet burger is delicious - it doesn't try to mimic meat, it's just good.
Some appetizers like cauliflower and guacamole are good choices, too. For dessert, a cupcake or cookie. Delightful.
It's a hidden gem because it's not in Philly and not a big town, but it's a classy cafe for good food. I'd go here, in a heart beat.
Pros: All vegan and gluten free, Desserts, Menu marked for soy and nuts
Cons: Needs more raw options

Great but Pricey! - Edit
I LOVE Heartbeet. Their vibe and location is great, and their food is absolutely delicious. If I'm ever in the area looking for a quick bite or in Collingswood with some friends, we usually come here. The portions are somewhat small, though, and I personally don't think that their prices match up with what they are giving you. I once bought a small dish of mac and cheese that was $11! Still, though, I am happy to give them my money because I really do love their food and their staff is super friendly.

Half loved - Edit
My vegan friends and I went there for our second time the other day, and half of us were happy. The buffalo cauliflower, pizza, and eggplant meatballs were delicious. The heart beet burger was pretty plain, as was the bruschetta and the pad Thai. Three of us got the pad Thai and each of the plates looked completely different with different amounts of the different ingredients. So they definitely seem to have an inconsistency problem. But the baked goods were all very yummy for dessert.

going to be honest, this wasn't as good as I had anticipated, but the coffee was good as well as the BLT and pizza app. It also had a nice atmosphere and I had a good time! I might go for something else the next time I go though.

Great Casual Vegan Eatery/Bakery - Edit
I live in the area and have been to Heart Beet many times and am never disappointed. Its a cute, cozy little place. You order at the counter, then sit down and they bring you your food.
Read moreThe food is excellent...fresh, tasty and healthy. They also make awesome smoothies with your choice of almond or soy milk. Probably my favorite thing about this place though is the vegan baked goods. They bake them fresh, and there are different things every day. Cookies, cupcakes, etc. all vegan and all delicious. They also do custom cakes. I got one for an event with mostly non-vegetarian attendees and everyone loved it. If you're in the South Jersey area, definitely plan a stop here.
Pros: Fresh vegan baked goods, Awesome food, Nice ambiance

We got the tofu scramble, and it was so good! I just wish there was a sauce or something creamy to go with it. We also got the charcoal lemonade and it was like nothing I’ve ever tried before, very good!

gone downhill - Edit
I've been to heart beet quite a few times and love that it's gf and byob. The first two times I thought I found the go to place but the next 5 times was a disappointment. the bread always seems stale and the sandwiches are not properly cooked. They are mushy and never warm. Even the smoothies are inconsistent. I used to think the smoothies were amazing. Last time I was here for dinner I was with a group of 8 people and it was unanimous...the food is not good. I have faith tho, if they train their all teen staff to work on consistency and stocking fresh bread - all will be good at heart beet.

You won’t be disappointed!! - Edit
So it’s been a little while since I ate at this wonderful restaurant (because I don’t live in South Jersey anymore) but I do know that both times I ate here it was amazing!! Everything was fresh & tasty! I know one of my meals was the buffalo cauliflower sandwich (yummy) the other was the tempeh Benedict. Plus a cupcake that was utterly divine. Service is friendly & quick even when they are busy which I think they probably usually are. If you haven’t gotten here yet go soon & go often!!

My husband and I enjoyed our trip to Heart beet kitchen. First we shared buffalo hummus and warm pita bread. Then, We enjoyed the BLT with coconut bacon and heart beet burger. Both came with a kale salad which was light and fresh. To end our Mother’s Day dinner, we shared a chocolate crumb cake and brownie. Absolutely delicious!

raw food and superfood style cheffing - Edit
I’m from LA and love Seattle visits. This is my favorite vegan joint in Seattle area because it serves the freshest food. It’s easy to get high raw entrees and desserts with integrity. They use superfoods artfully. The juices are great blends and they have targeted tonics. This is totally LA style fresh vegan food as far as I’m concerned! Cafe setting with a clean, crisp vibe.
