Some vegan options! - Edit
As previous reviews have mentioned, this is now located inside another bakery which isn't vegetarian/vegan. However there are some vegan doughnut options still, as well as dairy free milk for coffee etc. It's a lovely cafe in a busy area so it has a really good vibe as well as the doughnuts being really tasty!

Bakery still Thriving with Vegan Donuts - Edit
Good Town Doughnuts is located inside of another bakery that isn't vegan, so you'll find a small section of their vegan donuts inside the display case once you've made it to the front of the queue.
Read moreWe tried the Kyoto Uji Matcha (¥480) and Maple Walnut (¥570) donuts. They had other flavors including Chocolate and Raspberry Pistachio, making this quite a diverse offering for the hungry vegan and non-vegan alike.
The donuts were bomb! Soft on the inside with a harder, crisper exterior. Like other donuts, they were "cakier" than what you've probably had before, and that is not a bad thing. The matcha and maple glazes were perfect without them being overly sweet. We ended up saving half the donuts for later since they were a bit heavy, but for a quick snack on a busy shopping date, Good Town certainly delivered.
Pros: Good selection of vegan donuts

Donuts that put a smile on your face - Edit
These doughnuts will satisfy your sweet tooth. They are definitely sweeter than your normal Japanese donuts but they're amazing for a once in a while treat.
Read moreTheir flavors are inspired and creative. My go to is raspberry pistachio but if you go to the Little Bakery right across from this shop you can find classic flavors like chocolate and matcha green tea
Pros: Lots of variety, tasty

Heard they run out early and it’s true the interesting flavors were sold out, but I was happy to get some well made treats at the end of the weekend!

I spent 10 mins to finish the donut - Edit
I was lucky enough to get vegan donut at 3pm! (On weekday though)
Read moreI had their classic one and it was very tasty and fluffy, just like the crispy cream donuts I used to love before becoming vegan! I feel like I found the perfect alternative !
The reason for 3 stars is only about the price. ¥390 for a donut is a bit too expensive for me... I spent almost 10 mins to finish the donut so that I could enjoy every bite. But I’ll definitely go back again ! Thank you for having vegan choices ♡
Pros: Toasty& fluffy donuts , Cute space at cute area, Nice staff
Cons: You have to be lucky to get vegan donuts , Expensive

Delicious and rare to find - Edit
It’s not the easiest thing to find a store that offers sweets in Tokyo that are delicious as well. At least to my experience. Sure, you find cakes but they have donuts.
Read moreEverything I had was super delicious and as far as I could tell they also speak English here. I’m not too sure about that though. But I’d recommend this place 🍩
They sell out quickly though.
Pros: Vegan donuts 🍩 , Delicious , Nice range of options
Cons: Sell out fast, A bit pricey maybe

Nice place to relax and have your sweet craving fix - Edit
We tried three vegan doughnuts: with chocolate glaze, with mango glaze and with toasted coconut. Our favourite was the one with toasted coconut. The glaze for the other ones were a bit too sweet for us, but the dough was fluffy. We will go back again to try the other ones. The place is nicely decorated and the staff is friendly.

the doughnut had a really nice and light consistency. It was obviously quite sweet (I had the maple walnut one). I wish I could have tried the matcha flavor !

Fluffy doughnuts - Edit
I was impressed by the wide variety of vegan flavor options available. I also asked the staff to recommend one: she told me to try the Original Glazed. But I wanted something more special than that, so I ignored her suggestion and went for the Smile Mango. It looks like the shape of a jelly doughnut since there's no hole in the middle, but there's nothing on the inside. I was okay with that since the dough was nice and fluffy. The mango flavoring comes entirely from the thick glaze on top, and the eyes and mouth are chocolate. Excellent combination of flavors! I would come back to try some of their other flavors next time I'm in Tokyo.

Good donuts, but not very friendly - Edit
So the donuts were really good, although sadly they didn't seem to do as many as flavours as mentioned here, but still a good selection. Service was weird though. Didn't seem very friendly and a guy welcomed us without even looking up even though he was right next to us. Wanted to sit down but had to pay first which wasn't great when we had a little one with us as it took ages and felt rushed. Also we then ended up sat in a corner with a weird stuffed animal and a light above us that kept flickering on and off which seemed just amusing to the staff rather trying to fix it or even apologise as it was really annoying.

The doughnuts are great. Delicious! Was surprised to see they put the donut inside a plastic box inside a plastic bag. A paper bag would have been more convenient to eat the doughnut from and environmentally friendly (probably cheaper for the cafe too)!
