Can it get any better?? - Edit
Had dinner here last night and absolutely LOVED it. We started with the arancini, then two pizza off the specials and the tiramisu as dessert. Everything was phenomenal. I'm usually not much of a pizza person, but man, I could eat this every day. The tiramisu was also hands down the best I've ever had. Ever.
Read moreThe place was hopping and the music was kind of loud, so it was pretty noisy inside. We were okay with that since we were too busy to talk anyway stuffing our faces, but I thought I'd just throw it out there.
Pros: excellent food
Cons: noisy

Best pizza And tiramisu i've ever had! - Edit
Honestly Gigi's has the best pizza I've ever had, vegan or otherwise. (And I have had a lot of pizza!)
Read moreMy favourite is the blue 'cheese' and cauliflower pizza. The pumpkin calzone is also very nice! The tiramisu is a must try. It is absolutely delicious!
The queues for this place are a testament to how incredible the food is here. If you want a table straight away, arrive just before opening time! The pizza is very quick to come out of the oven whenever I have eaten here.
Prices can be a bit more expensive if you're use to eating at your local takeaway pizza joint, but I think it is worth it!
Pros: All vegan, Traditional pizza, Vegan tiramisu
Cons: Can be a bit of a wait for a table sometimes

Best Vegan Pizza I've Ever Had! - Edit
I used to think my native Chicago had the best vegan pizza in the world - but after eating at Gigi Pizzeria, I decided that Sydney has that distinction! :-) My vegan friend and I shared the Ripieno zucca e spincaci (pumpkin cream, sautéed pumpkin, spinach, swiss brown mushrooms & onion topped with roasted cherry tomatoes, thyme & rosemary with extra virgin olive oil), plus one other special pizza also featuring pumpkin. Absolutely delicious!! The restaurant is beautiful and lively, and the staff are super friendly and fun too.

Fabulous pizza - Edit
This place is all vegan and makes delicious pizza as well as tasty desserts and drinks (including cocktails). There always seems to be a queue to get in, but it moves pretty fast and it's been worth the wait each time I've been!

Dough to die for! - Edit
Sooooo good! Took my meat loving friend and she was pleasantly surprised by everything we got from the chickpea chips and rice ball starters to the mushroom and ripieno pizzas and the orange cake dessert - honestly with dough like that any flavour of pizza is sure to amaze. But the pumpkin cream with spinach was my favourite - just incredible flavours and texture and can I mention the pizza base/ dough again?? And such a cool set up and really friendly staff and love the way they present the pizzas etc!

My favourite pizza in the world!
Read moreAuthentic Italian pizza and 100% vegan (as of 2015).
Short walk from Newtown train station.
Must try:
- Funghi e Radicchio
- Cannoli (even better than some authentic, traditional cannoli I've tried).
- Any of the pizzas
Worth the queue which always tends to move quickly.
Pros: AMAZING food, Great location, Nice vibe
Cons: Queues on weekends

Amazing - Edit
As a pizza lover (started Notzarella in 2011) and also a lover of authentic experiences, I was floored by Gigi. I was in Sydney for one night, had no idea where to eat. I was starving - my weekend had been a small disaster. Gigi made it all worthwhile. I forget the specifics of what I ordered, but it was real food. The attention to detail in the place was heartwarming. Was almost crying at the bar, where I had to sit and eat it was so busy (Saturday night).

worth the wait! - Edit
On a Friday night we queued for over an hour but it was well worth the wait for a good quality selection of all vegan pizzas and other Italian dishes. Very tasty toppings...shows that a pizza doesn't need cheese to make it complete!

The best and authentic pizza place! - Edit
This is one of my favourite places in Sydney. Every pizza is so good and taste like Italy! It is very popular especially on weekends, so prepare to queue for a while. Althought the line goes very quickly, about in 5-15 minutes.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! - Edit
I've walked past Gigi's so many times and just thought "can't go there, it's a pizza joint." When they went vegan it was a revelation. Even my omni friends love it. So good, and so authentic, and none of the fake plastic cheeses you get on a lot of vegan pizzas — Gigi uses natural ingredients to create creamy textures and umami flavours. It's bloody brilliant!
