great vegan cafe

Very good vegan restaurant with a shop selling only vegan stuff. Lots of veganized local dishes, but also some western dishes. Must try.
A pity they are closed on Saturdays

Fav. vegan cheesecake of all time

My fav. vegan cheesecake of all time :’) Love how creamy & tangy it is! Tried their lasagne, brazil nut cilantro pasta (which tasted just like pesto pasta) & their steamed dumpling noodle soup too, and everything was really good & relatively affordable, considering that they’re an organic restaurant :)

Pros: Really yummy tofu cheesecake, Wide range of choices from various cuisines, Relatively affordable for an organic restaurant

Kimchi & Dumplings!

We had an 8 hour layover in Singapore and were excited to try some vegan food somewhere in the city. This place was really intriguing, and ended up being a hit! I got the 2 sides/appetizers of kimchi and the dumplings l, which was the perfect size for a meal. Didn't think it could get better, but it did with an order of the tofu cheesecake! It absolutely was delicious! Highly recommended!

Pros: lots of vegan options, friendly staff, cozy

Cons: pricier, small portions

Nice

My first time dining at Genesis after hearing so many great reviews of this place. The dumplings, Brazilian Nut Cilantro Pasta and their cheesecake are to die for!

⭐️ Dishes containing alliums and gluten are clearly labeled!

Pros: Walking distance from MRT, Fast service

Cons: On the pricey side

fantastic healthy meal

first if all I have to stress how easy it is to get here. come out if farrer park at exit d, walk 2 minutes turn left, and it's two minutes on the left.
what an enjoyable experience we had at genesis. fantastic people who were delighted to see us, and provided a wonderful dining experience.
a real emphasis on organic, healthy, balanced meals. all the mock meats are made on site, they make and sell nut butters, granola and a decent selection if organic goods.
we had a rice claypot, chicken rice, nasi lemak and a side of fantastic steamed dumplings. all served with a delicious organic mint tea

each dish was well balanced with dark greens, tofu/mock meat, rice and another veg or two. none of the dishes were fried giving a completely new taste to other restaurants we have visited. really tasty food, full of flavours and without the use of chilli.
had great chat with the staff who were all really nice.
get on the mrt and visit genesis for a fantastic balanced meal.
Great to be back here and a high shout to Jimmy, Cheryl and Amy Singapore ambassador for meeting us here. I love this place and it was even better for the comapnyt.

Pros: choice, healthy, staff

Wanted to give this a 1 Star

Was asked to move from a 6 seater table when the restaurant had 4 people inside and 10 empty tables. Food was very bland and not spiced at all. Nasi lemak was served with a relish rather than a sambal . Chicken rice sold out. Service not friendly at all. Drinks menu has 5 weird drinks on and nothing else so be prepared to drink water only.

Pros: Noting

Cons: Asked to move to a smaller table , Bland food, No spice level at all

not as convinced as the other comments

My sister and I are because of all the good comments but we were a bit disappointed. We didn’t think the food was that special, it tasted ok tho. The service was fast. You can’t pay with card here. There’s a bank 5 min away.

great food, nice people!

Went here over the weekend and had a sumptuous dinner. We ordered lasagna, dumplings, fish head vermicelli and tofu cheesecake for dessert. All dishes were tasty. If i were to pick my least fave it would've been the tofu cheesecake as i've tasted other vegan cheesecakes that tasted closer to a real one. Other than that, the rest are really good and really value for money. The dumpling sauce was particularly good that i even had requested for a 2nd serving. The staff were really kind and helpful too! Ps. The coconut bun was out of thus world delicious- must try!

Pros: confidently vegan. nice food and ambiance

Excellent for vegans in Singapore

This place is great, everything I tired so far is delicious and feels really healthy. They spice their food in a more creative way than just using salt, and this makes the food be way better than many other places with the same dishes.
Service is great all well.

Delicious!

If you like Mexican food I would suggest the 7-layer haystack. It was amazing. Very filling and fairly cheap. The almond brown rice milk is to die for. So happy I decided to go!

The lasagne! Yummmm

Everything looked so great on the menu, it was hard to choose! Decided on the lasagne, and loved it. Cashew sauce, mushroom and brown lentil filling. Some salad on the side. So delicious. Only criticism was that it could have been heated a little more, the heat was inconsistent through the dish. Will ask for that next time. Can't wait to return and have it again! Free wifi was an added bonus as I'm visiting from overseas. Lovely staff. I'll be back soon!

Good and bad

No vegan buffet on Fridays. Limited English, which is surprising given that they're in Singapore. They brought me the wrong dish and then suggested I should eat it. Food was ok.

Lovely Vegan Restaurant Hidden in Little India

Had a layover at Changi so decided to catch the train into town (Changi -> Tanah Merah (change) Tanah Merah -> Bugis) then a flat 2km walk through Little India (so much culture!).
Found Genesis down a quiet side street using Google Maps.

Lovely & clean restaurant, tables seat 1-4 could bring some together for more people.

One worker spoke excellent English and the others were happy to go get her when required for questions.

Specials board, English menu, air conditioning, great prices!

Ate 'Chicken' Rice & Tofu Cheesecake with topping made from cashews, dates & carob! All delicious, quick and well presented.
(total $15.50, cash only unless you have a NETS card, ATM at end of street)

Will definitely return, so many great dishes to try. Everything else I saw on other tables looked delicious!

One of my go-to places

When I need to bring guests to a vegan place that I know they'll like, Genesis is one of the places. They have a good mixture of Local and Western dishes. The food is always fresh, and the staff are friendly.

Pros: Not far from Farrer Park MRT, Quality matters to them, They are strong on plant based diets

Delicious vegan option for real Singapore food!

If you're looking for a non-touristy Singapore food experience without having to worry about getting something non-vegan, this is an amazing place to go. It's in the middle of an industrial/business side of town with residences nearby, but if you're a tourist who wants to see "real life" Singapore without the flash and dazzle of Orchard Road, this is a great place to go. The restaurant itself is very clean, although a bit on the warm side, and it's relatively quiet. The menu offers primarily Asian foods, but there are some Western foods as well. On the blackboard, they also list daily specials or meals otherwise not listed on the menu.

On the table, they offer silverware and napkins, but the server gave me reusable chopsticks to use. Some of the meals clearly cannot be eaten with chopsticks, so I appreciated the easy access to silverware. I ordered the dumplings, fish head vermicelli, and mint tea. The dumplings came out first, freshly made and served with a spicy orange dipping sauce, which was amazing. The fish head vermicelli came out piping hot, along with very hot mint tea with the leaves still floating in it. This is the second time I've been impressed with the analogue fish here in Singapore, and it was quite tasty with excellent contrast in textures, which is a common complaint I have with most noodle soups. I was very full by the time I finished the meal so I didn't order dessert, but I'll be saving that for next time!

Overall, the meal was my favorite that I had in Singapore. It's completely vegan, the staff was friendly and interested in how I found out about the restaurant, and the food was amazing. I only wish I had tried it sooner so I could have had multiple meals there!

Pros: Feels like a non-tourist authentic food experience, Friendly staff, Clean restaurant

Cons: Can be tricky to find, Hours occasionally inaccurate
