I highly recommend Gallo Santo. They have a wide range of options on the menu, something for everyone. I was the only vegan in a group, and the others said they would gladly go back if they were in Barcelona again. I had the Naked Burrito bowl, which was delicious. We were able to watch our food being prepared and cooked. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and the chefs and waiting staff are all very pleasant and helpful. And, they also serve cocktails!

Mexican Food in Barcelona? - Edit
Gallo Santo is a cute little all vegan, Mexican restaurant in the Gracia neighborhood. The owner is from Mexico, though not vegan. We had a tasty meal there but portions are on the small side compared to other places we ate in Barcelona.

I only have positive stuff to say about this place. The place is super cute and cozy, makes you feel like staying there sipping cocktails for hours. The waitress was so lovely and recommended drinks and dishes like she knows exactly what you fancy, even if yourself cannot choose cause everything on the menu looks so good! The food was fresh and delicious, you could feel everything was made with love and the mix of flavours was very exotic and spot on. You even notice little details like paper straws instead of plastic, which makes you feel like they really care about environmental issues as well as the quality of the food and the experience of the guests. I definitely recommend this place, very lovely experience!

Authentic + Delicious Vegan Mexican - Edit
We came for a late dinner and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We called that morning for a reservation, which was pleasantly accepted in English. We ordered the cauliflower, flute, and guacamole appetizers - all were excellent, but the flutes particularly! As entrees we ordered the Naked Burrito Bowl and Tacos (Jack Fruit and Al Pastor) loved them immensely. I had a Margarita that was delicious (the second one I ordered never came). Apropos that, the only downside was that service was very very slow - it took forever to receive menus, and then forever to give our orders, and then forever to receive our drinks, and then forever to receive our food, and then forever to get our bill, etc. So, go enjoy very good food and drink - but be patient and don’t be in a hurry to leave.

Galo Santo has a warm interior aesthetic with a full bar, cactus decorations and cherry colors. We came for lunch after a hike and had a large appetite. I had the quinoa bowl which was yummy, filling and loaded with veggies. The guacamole is amazing though the tortilla chips are stale and flavorless.

Best Mexican food in Europe - Edit
I absolutely loved my experience here! The restaurant is beautifully decorated and has great music. Came here with two friends who are not vegan and we all left full and happy! They loved the food equally as much as I did and if I was going to be here for another day I probably would’ve come back again! To top it off, the owner is so sweet and personable, she really just wants you to have a great experience at her restaurant! Highly recommend

Amazing Mexican tasty fresh vegan food. I had tacos and the soup which was a meal in itself. All delicious. The sauces were fab too. The spicy one was very spicy! The lady that served me was lovely. Decor is relaxing and the music was great too. INXS and Bowie to name a couple. I thoroughly recommend this place.

Read moreNow we come to the disappointing part, the food, the only thing good about is was how it looks, cause it's tasteless, the "cheese" tasted like carrots, whatever was fried tasted like old oil; then there is the price, and the quantity, omg as someone previous said food for ants.
And last but not least they have the nerve to ask you to review them, so afraid to say, here is my review...

It's lovely decorated and a nice atmosphere. The staff was really nice. The food was also tasty. BUT it is totally overpriced. We got ridiculously small meals. The 2 tacos are hand-sized and we paid 7,50€ for that. This was not worth the cost at all.

This was the worst in Barcelona! The portions are ridiculously small, very expensive and food really doesn't taste special. Like I can do better at home. A spoonful of beans with some sweet corn on tortillas for ants cost 8 euros, and on the menu this dish is called - 2 quesadillas😄

In the heart of Gràcia you will find this fabulous place serving 100% vegan food with a Mexican theme. The €10.90 menu of the day is exceptional value consisting of soup or starter, main, dessert and drink. As stocks were running low due to popularity we shared a delicious courgette and coriander soup and a couple of sweet potato and soya cream filled tortilla flutes. The naked burrito bowl main course was full of healthy goodness but lacked the spicy mexican magic I was craving. On the other hand, the kale pumpkin tacos with cashew nut cream were superb. A warm tapioca in coconut milk dessert was a nice way to finish off the menu. Red wine was also included in the deal. Olé olé olé!

Came in to try out some veg Mexican food and came out satisfied.

1) Three starters:
- Cauliflower with cashew sauce
- Sweet potato flute (sort of a roll with lettuce and avocado)
- Pumpkin flower sopes
2) Two main dishes:
- Mushroom taco
- Yaca (Jackfruit) taco
3) And two desserts:
- Chocolate coulant
- "Dulce de calabaza" (sweet pumpkin cream)
The food was really tasty and diverse. Mushroom taco, sweet potato flute and the "dulce de calabaza" were great discoveries!
We enjoyed our time there and recommend this place. The cost of everything was nearly 53€.
