Best vegan/vegetarian restaurant in the Aljezur area - Edit
We have been roaming the entire Algarve region for good places to eat vegan food. Onda Natural is our number 1 favourite place to go. The atmosphere is welcoming, open, spacy and cozy. The food is freshly made, nourishing, and wholesome - The chefs in the kitchen surely knows how to cook. There is plenty of food on the plate and the people at Onda Natural are all lovely people. And not to forget - there is a diverse variety of vegan desserts - totally delicious. This place is basicly plant based but with vegetarian options on the menu as well.

Great atmosphere, good vegan options, food OK - Edit
The restaurant is nicely done and decorated, a open and comfortable atmosphere. Normally though, if it weren't one of the only veg options in a radius of many kilometers, I would give just three stars because the food was average to bland, and the portions were small. I had the daily special for 11€ and was expecting to be at least full afterwards, I was disappointed. Some spices would have helped the taste a lot. Also more generous portions, like more than just two pieces of broccoli as a portion of veggies, would have been very nice.
Read moreAlso the service was a bit confused, didn't bring the appetizer but it was on the bill, due to a miscommunication between the two service personell (even though there were only three tables seated).
Pros: Nice atmosphere
Cons: Cost vs. Food taste & quantity

truly amazing - Edit
We have had the pleasure to eat here 4 or 5 times. In Alentejo there aren't many vegan options, so we have tried several but after our first visit we were in love with the place and we kept coming back.We have two small children, so usually going to the restaurant is not really a wonderful activity, but the place has an area dedicated for the kids which they loved! They loved it and we as well, since we were able to fully enjoy the meals. We have tried several options, Tofu a Bras, Feijoada de Cogumelos, Vegetable lasagne, the two vegan cheeses, etc. All are wonderful but the Tofu a Bras is our favourite! As a desert, the coconut pudding is good but the vegan chocolate ice cream is to die for! The owners are really nice people and Cilia as well!!! The outside area is also very nice especially just to chill and enjoy an afternoon talk with friends! Do not miss this, it is definitely worth the visit!

Amazing homemade vegan food - Edit
This is one of the best vegan restaurants I’ve been so far! The food tastes like homemade, and it’s honestly delicious. Fresh flavours, a lot of vegan burger options, different plates and soup everyday, fresh vegetables juices, amazing desserts... we had the vegan cheese and nachos, definitely try it, it’s homemade! The trip will be worth it and you’ll be so close to beaches and trekking roads!

Delightful - Edit
A lovely restaurant managed by a couple a few minutes drive from Aljezur.
Read moreYou feel the warm energy the moment you step in. There is much variety on the menu without being overwhelming. I ordered the Day special which was Lasagna. My son ordered a Pizza. Fortunately they had a home made Vegan cheese that day.
The Lasagna is by far the best a I have ever had. One can sense the love of the cook in the food. A portion size big enough to fill a big eater, yet I was greedy for more. My son finished his pizza and we shared another. Good Pizza. Excellent Crust and sauce and sunflower seed cheese.
And then Desert. :) a good selection. We chose the Ice cream and the Mousse. Moment each made contact with the tongue, we swooned.
The bill - reasonable and Excellent value for money.
If you are in the area it will be a travesty if you dont go.
If you are not in the area, make a trip to the restaurant just for the sake of it!
Pros: Great Food, Great Ambience, Great Service
Cons: may not have vegan cheese sometimes , perhaps?
