All Organic and Friendly Staff

Everything was organic which isn't always my #1 priority because of restaurant price but it is important to some and I liked it.

I had the collard wrap and avocado sandwich split with my partner. Both were good. Collard wrap was very healthy tasting and served cold. The avocado sandwich was hot and had a great flavor from mushrooms and mayo. We also had a green juice. Total was about $35. So yeah steep but it's organic and all vegan and healthy. I bet they have a loyal following.

Pros: all vegan! , avocado sandwich, give dollar back on returned juice glass

Good for food...

Food very good (southwestern wrap). Juice was very expensive $16 for 16oz!
Service was very friendly and welcoming.
Would go back for the food and the people but I’m afraid I would pay $16 for a juice again.

Pros: organic, yummy food, great team

Cons: juice price, portion size

healthy and delicious

Great location. Healthy menu. Friendly staff. I got the collard green tacos which were very good. The only drawback was that the prices are a little steep. The portions aren't that huge so when I came when I was starving and I left a little hungry. Overall, will be visiting again.

Pros: location, menu

Cons: prices, portions

good food, good service

I was staying about a block from here on my recent trip to D.C. so I had the opportunity to come here a number of times. The food menu is limited but I had a few different salads and collard tacos. And the beet juice is amazing! Overall, good food and good (quick) service.

Fresh, healthy, organic, vegan, and friendly!

Fruitive is a great choice for health-conscious food and drinks (at least for those not on a tight budget). In addition to being all vegan, the whole restaurant is certified organic, which is a huge plus. There are juices and meal-replacement smoothies, but also plenty of other food options.

Service was friendly and helpful.

My only wish is that they would use real glasses for dine-in orders, instead of serving all drinks in plastic. They are using relatively eco-friendlier take-out containers, but even those consume resources and create waste. Real glass would bring the experience to perfection.

Enjoy!

Healthy Fresh Options

They have a good sized menu in a pretty tiny shop. This place is more for lunch takeaways. They do healthy fast food well and I really enjoyed everything I ordered. Their liquid meals are a bit pricey but they do say they use organic and the highest quality so I guess that is reflected in the price. The tacos are wrapped in big leafy greens and can be a bit messy to eat but worth it. You feel satisfied and clean after eating them. Definitely one of my favourite vegan places to eat in DC.

Pros: Tasty, healthy

Cons: some things are pricey

Not worth the expense.

Very expensive for little food. It was okay for the price I payed. But if you're looking for super healthy, this is the place.

Delicious, fresh and super healthy

This wonderful organic oasis has fantastic food, from sandwiches, wraps, salads and smoothies. The avocado and portobello panini was possibly the best sandwich I ever tasted. Highly recommended.

$$$&

Fruitive is delicious healthy food, but very expensive -- my wrap was $12 and my 16 oz juice was $16. Everything on the menu is vegan. They have smoothies, juices, bowls, salads, and wraps/sandwiches. I had the all greens juice (cucumber, celery, spinach, Swiss chard, kale, parsley, cilantro) and the Tuscan wrap, which they used collards for instead of the whole wheat wrap (they were out of the wrap).

Pros: All vegan, Fresh organic ingredients, Fast service

Cons: Expensive!!, Very small store -- only seats 4 inside, and 10 ou

Plant-based organic happiness

What do you want when you think vegan, organic food? Healthful options like berry bowls and juices, salads and wraps, right? Check, check, check, and check.

This place is lovely. Although it doesn't say vegan all over the place, it is. My only gripe is that it is not open late, so unless you rush over here after work or are just visiting DC, it can be challenging to get here during the week unless you plan to be here.

The collard wrap tacos are good, along with the salads. However, they have many ingredients that make these options not raw. If you want them raw, just specify.

The bowls are much easier to be made raw, with the blends of fruits and veggies topped with fresh fruit - hold the granola (gluten-free).

The display fridges show the beautiful juices, but, they are pricey. If you think about the ingredients though, it makes sense, because they are all organic.

Lots of delicious sandwiches, too. You really can't go wrong here, as it's all vegan and healthful. My fav are the berry bowls and the collard wrap tacos, even if they are not fully raw.

The food is made to order, so you may have to wait a bit. It is a bit awkward to wait by the door, but, it works. There is some seating inside, though not the most comfortable high stool style options. Outside is better, but if it's too hot or too cold, it's not the best choice.

Pros: All vegan & organic, Collard green tacos, Berry bowls

Cons: Hours, Wait time, Seating

good food, operations seemed clunky

I really enjoyed my food at fruitive, but I waited a verrrrry long time for my food and only discovered that they had brought it to the to-go window by inquiring. I understand mistakes happen, so I would still recommend it!

Limited seating, food ok&fresh, staff nok

We tried the carrot smoothie and grilled southwestern wrap.
The smoothie was good but had ice in it even tough this is not stated on the menu - for some smoothies it clearly says ice and I specifically chose a smoothie without ice.. well what do you know, it had ice. Smoothie was pricey 12/13$.
The wraps were big and filling, freshly made, and fairly priced 11/12$ - if you are not that hungry one wrap can be enough for 2. I don't think the wraps were anything special or creative, but they were good and fresh.
We were the only customers and they packed our wraps to go without asking. But anyway, we ate them there in the freezing air conditioning.
I regret leaving them a tip, as you pay the tip before receiving the food not after you get it as would be normal.

Pros: all vegan

Cons: staff distracted, not paying attention, little seating , freezing cold inside

Beauty of a Place!

Such an amazing eatery! Their menu has such a range of options! Everything we ordered was so flavoursome and presented so nicely! Would have loved to try more of their delicious foods. The staff were super friendly and the place has a nice vibe. However you might not get a seat of its busy, they just have a handful of bench seats. Would recommend to everyone!

Pros: delicious colourful wholesome food, friendly staff , fresh and housemate menu items

Cons: small space , on the pricey side but not out of character

Yummy light lunch

Fruitive is located in one of the most posh new areas downtowon DC. The place is small and spiffy, with only a few bar stools. I had Excellent Tuscan Kale wrap and a good Portobello Panini the next day. I also tried the F.I.T shake, which was good and filling although somewhat expensive. Anyway, a great go-to in DC!

Fresh & amazing combinations

such a great find in the city -
liquid meals/smoothie bowls - avocado toast with basil/avocado pesto - salads - tacos - sandwiches/wraps - great Granola with limited amount of sugar -
they have Cleanses as well -

love how fresh this place was

Pros: variety of items, fresh and home made, take out

Cons: not a lot of seating, because home-made - takes a bit of time, hours - wish they were open longer

Great lunch or breakfast find!

This is a stylishly appointed juice joint and mostly take-out restaurant that's 100% vegan and it is GOOD! We had the portobella panini and the Tuscan kale wrap, and both were really outstanding. We thought the pesto aoli wasn't necessary on the panini since it already has cashew butter, so we left it out, but it did add a nice richness to the wrap. We also took home some of their macaroons which may be the best I've ever tasted. We ate in the restaurant but it only has about 10 counter top seats so it's more geared for take-out. If we lived in DC we'd definitely be regulars!

Pros: Reasonably priced food, Great food!, Friendly staff

Cons: Small space

I'd eat here everyday

Super good. We were a large group and tried several dishes. All were good, but the PB and no J and strawberry Fields and the mushroom panini were exceptional. I would spend way too much money here if I lived nearby. All the dishes sound intimidating for non-vegans, but don't be afraid. Where's your sense of adventure?

Pros: all plant based and mostly organic, good big portion sizes, flavorful

Cons: borderline expensive , not enough seating
