Super pleasant vegan spot in DC! - Edit
Loved the vibe at this vegan cafe. Perfect for a quick breakfast. Somewhat limited seating indoors, but was able to snag a couple bar stools.

We had a lovely breakfast at Fruitive! We ordered 2 waffles (the berry one and the almond banana one). The waffles were great, however they were a bit on the expensive side ($15-16 for one waffle). Nevertheless, they were great!

I got the breakfast wrap, and it was delicious. It even came with avocado! It’s a little pricy but the full size portion was pretty big. The location is really convenient and the restaurant itself is cute.

Staying in a hotel and ordered broccoli cheese soup, gluten-free vegan waffles , a salad and drink…. All delicious! The broccoli cheese soup was the best I’ve ever had and it’s a treat to be able to have waffles. Everything tasted fresh and healthy- THANK YOU!

Met friends here for lunch. With 6 of us, we had to be creative for seating. Indoors works for parties of 2, and outside are three tables for 4 people.

I got a GF Breakfast Wrap, which was delicious and filling. Tasted the broccoli soup - love that the broccoli was whole - and sampled a muffin and energy ball.
Everything was delicious. My friend got the burger, and was a little disappointed at the small size. But otherwise everyone was very happy.
Nice outdoor seating area, tucked in the alley so it’s a bit quieter. Bathroom was clean, and filtered water available at a self serve area.
I’d be here all the time if I was a local! Really appreciate vegan food made from scratch that is healthy and not greasy.

I had a conference in the convention centre with very disappointing food and ate here every single day. The range of options and specials was fantastic and the chai was amazing. My only regret was I missed the waffles 😭

I came in twice in the same day. Had southwest quesadilla and sweet berry waffles. Both were tasty with good colors, textures and made with whole food ingredients. Gentle classical music plays in a well-lit area with a bookish vibe in the back corner. Good for individuals, pairs, trios, not many more.

I've been hearing about Fruitive for years, and finally got to stop in for lunch on a quick visit to DC. I wanted to try everything on the menu, but ultimately settled on the “Hail to the Kale” salad and a “Coffee Date.” Both were absolutely delicious and satisfying -- healthy whole food, with a bit of indulgence too. This place lives up to its reputation on all counts!

Been here early - so I was able to have a brief chat to the owner. Very good, zingy “berry immune” liquid meal for breakfast, along with a “lemon ginger cooler” and a hot “royal breakfast tea”.
Read moreLovely calm style with no tables inside but bar tables at the windows with bar stools. Nice and not dominant music as well. I also had to try the “Avocado Herb Toast”. It was fantastic! I am usually not a fan of Oregano, but here it was subtle and lovely.

Read moreTraveling here- I was concerned that I wouldn’t find any good breakfast places and this blew expectations out the water. This breakfast was fulfilling with great flavor and a hearty serving size for me. Good venue with a glass street side view from barstool seating. If I lived here, I would love to try more on the menu. I tried the iron berry smoothie and the Tuscan kale wrap and I can not complain whatsoever. Cute place, highly recommend!
