Read moreI went for the daily special - a vegan version of a Croatian staple, I think. I wasn't keen on the coleslaw, but everything else was delicious. The pancakes were very good, too.
Quiet area on a Sunday, but probably busier when all the surrounding shops are open.
Pros: Good food, Staff happy to advise.
Cons: Small cafe - might be busy in Summer

A very cosy restaurant in the heart of Zagreb. Everything in the menu looked delicious. I went with the make your own salad (quinoa, mushrooms, bell peppers, chickpeas, hummus, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, marinated seitan, ground almonds and dressing), and I have nothing but good things to say. Fresh food, very tasty, and most important: big portions! Highly recommend it!

We ordered two burgers and some fries on the side. We are stuffed, they have great portions! The staff is friendly and the service was very fast. Would definitely recommend!

The waiter was very kind, although the service was kind of slow, even with only two other guests in the place. Because of the slow service we spent much longer here than we would somewhere else due to the waiting. I ordered an oatmilk cappuccino, the foam was good but the coffee itself was sour and bitter. Wanted to order pancakes but they were out of stock, so I went for the green curry which was pretty thin (more like a soup) but very tasty! I would have preferred an option for white rice however. The brown rice didn't go that well with the curry in my opinion. My partner had the chickpea omelette which was nice but a bit too salty, and extra tzatziki which was okay but lacked garlic. For dessert we got a raw peanut cake, which I definitely do not recommend. It tasted like a block of coconut oil with the slightest bit of peanut flavour and sugar. It also had the same texture as coconut oil, which made us feel a little sick. All in all it was quite okay, but I wouldn't necessarily go here again.

I liked that you can make ur own buddha bowl. Though they forgot to put a sauce.., but when I asked they put it🥳🫶🏼🙏🏼so all good. Delicious banana bread and sweet potatoe fries!

Most of Croatia (and the rest of the Balkans) is a vegan desert, so it was nice to find this place. I had noodles with tofu and peanuts - pretty good though I'd have preferred some green vegetables too. The ambience was cool too

We went here for breakfast, but unfortunately it opens at 10 am and not at 8 am. So we came back on another day. The food was good, but they are understaffed. I already finished my omelette before my boyfriend got his, eventhough we were the first customers of the day. The Omelettes were made from chickpeas and tasted good, but I think it needs a litte bit of bread on the side (not included)

This is a very nice restaurant in the middle of Zagreb which has so many good looking options that it is nearly impossible to choose one. To drink I had an iced vanilla latte which sounded amazing even though 32 Kuna (4 €) is a bit expensive and I have to say that this one disappointed me as it was good but nothing special. Following the drink I had a self picked bowl with chunks of seitan kebab, vegan tzaziki and guacamole which again sounded amazing. Unluckily this item could also not live up to the very high expectations I had as it was a small healthy and good looking meal but contained some things like the marinated mushrooms which I did not like as much as I would have hoped. As I did choose all the things myself I probably also have myself to blame for this one but altogether in my oppinion they did not use enough spices which made the meal kind of boring. On a positive note I however really liked all the different sauces they had and got a vegan tiramisu for desert which tasted amazing!

We’ve had a lovely breakfast at food garden this morning. There is a variety of options like protein pancakes, chia puddings, chickpea omelettes or toasts. Unfortunately they didn’t have the pancakes but we took a slice of banana bread and a slice of lemon poppy cake which was delicious. They have different kinds of fresh smoothies and juices. If you eat gluten free or raw you have a lot of options too.
