At focus foodbar you can eat anything from the menu as a vegan. I'm not used to this, so it's hard to make up your mind. Great taste and very friendly waitresses. So far I've been at this place tree times. For lunch, dinner and once for a milkshake and bitterballen. You should really try this 100% vegan restaurant

Gezellig restaurant met vriendelijk personeel, het eten is heerlijk en ze werken regelmatig aan nieuwe gerechten. Het eten is ook helemaal niet duur vergeleken met een standaard restaurant, waardoor het ook heel toegankelijk is voor non-vegans. Een fijn en rustig terras nèt buiten de drukke winkelstraat.

Heerlijk gegeten, simpel maar toch verrassend. Vooraf stokbrood met aioli, als hoofdgerecht de asian bowl met tofu en tempeh. Opzich simpel, maar de dressing is te gek! Andere gerecht is de risotto met rode biet. Verrassend lekker. Na afloop de chocolate frenzy. Goed om te delen.

I'm so happy with a fully vegan lunch and dinner spot in Tilburg. Staff (I'm guessing she's the owner) is lovely, the burger I chose was great, and location and atmosphere are wonderful. Very happy they're open on Mondays now as well.

Als (tot nog toe) enige plantaardige spot in Tilburg doen ze het goed! Prettige kaart, fijne bediening, mooie locatie.. Het eten zou nog wat meer smaak kunnen krijgen en het is goed betaald voor wat je krijgt, maar desondanks een goede ervaring! (Dat het 25 minuten duurde voordat de mylkshake er was zullen we maar als incidentje zien).

Focus dares to cook with seitan and tempeh which creates different kind of dishes than those you find in Tilburg's regular lunch rooms.
Atmosphere is 'okay': it's cold inside because the door doesn't close well and the radiators aren't set warm enough to heat up the place.
Choice of furniture doesn't seem right im my opinion ;-)

We have gone twice and the second time we loved it because we saw they improved their menu and dishes 100%! They have a really nice staff and as a vegan is great to go to a place without having to ask what's vegan because this is a plant based restaurant! The beyond meat burger was great but the second time we tried the curry and it was amazing!

I was really excited to try a new vegan restaurant in town, and I do really hope that they will improve because I’d love to support them. But we were disappointed because the food didn’t seem to have any seasoning or salt... just flavourless.
Read moreWe had the ‘focus taste’ starter of 4 mini dishes to share. The portions were really really small and the dish wasn’t a good value.
As mains, we had the Mexican soup which was labeled spicy, but was quite watery and not spicy at all. It did have a lot of nice toppings but still small as a main course. We also had a quiche of the day which, again, was labeled spicy but was very bland.
The fries were really good and did have salt, so we were very confused.
Overall, the food lacked any type of seasoning and we were still a little hungry.

We went to Focus Foodbar this weekend with a group of my closest friends to Focus Foodbar. It was a very pleasant experience: nice atmosphere, very friendly owner (Bregje), nice prices and food (and wine ;-)) was great! And one of my friends follows a FODMAP diet for his bowel problems. Called ahead to ask if it was possible to make a FODMAP menu for him. They were very eager to think along and made a special FODMAP menu. I was suprised about this service, because there are many other places where this would not be the case. My compliments!

We hebben hier echt heerlijk gegeten, hier wordt op niveau gekookt. Vooraf een bijzondere proeverij, om je vingers bij af te likken. Een huisgemaakte burger met avocado en groene asperges, knapperige broodjes en verse frietjes. Heerlijke paella met zeekraal. Feestelijk opgemaakte borden en bijzonder aardige service. Het toetje maakte de avond compleet: een brownie tompouce met popcorn en rood fruit, mmmm. Wij zijn fan.

Focus foodbar is a new asset for Tilburg. Very cosy place, friendly staff, easy to access from the station and an original menu.
Read moreFor drinks we enjoyed several herbal teas from the fancy tea menu. The dishes include original flavor combinations. We loved that we could taste (almost) everything through the tasting platter. For the starter it included miso soup, tomato cubes with pickled cucumber, beet carpaccio and smoked paprika.
As a main dish we enjoyed the truffle cauliflower and risotto paella. The dessert was a tasting platter again including mango and chocolate ice-cream, peanut butter mousse and cinnamon baklava. With all these different dishes and a full restaurant on Thursday evening we had to wait a bit but it was worth the wait. The flavours were not all on point yet (maybe the impressive menu build the expectations really high😉) but they are just starting up. So we look forward to pass by another time.

This place was lovely. I visited with my husband while on holiday here, and I’d happily come back. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and offered an English menu as my Dutch isn’t too good. Almost every outside table was taken but we didn’t have to wait long to be served or to receive our food. There was a great selection on the menu, and I was really impressed with the dessert options too. It’s in a great location where you can sit and watch the world go by if the weather allows, and the food we had was super tasty. The only downside was we wanted more :)

A vegan restaurant in Tilburg!! Great. I took my friend there to try it out. If you want a evening out without worry, I would wait a bit before going there. If you want to support a new vegan restaurant, go!! Don't be put of by my review and read on until the end.
Read moreThe terrace is nice and cozy. Inside it was still under construction. Really under construction. Not only the building, but also the kitchen and the team. It was noticable that it was busier than they expected. It took a really long time before we got the burgers we ordered and the bowl with fries was to cry about, it was hardly enough. We had seen the bowls full of fries on other tables. When we asked about it, we were told they were out of fries because of the big amount of people that came to try out the restaurant. Great news!! I really support vegan restaurants and I'm happy it is so popular. But it would have been nice if they told us we got just a tiny bit of fries because they were out of it, instead of just putting it on the table. Also it would have been nice to get something else instead like onion rings. Or a tea or coffee at the end. The seasonal burgers were okay, but bland to be honestly. I would have liked a spicy sause or something with it.
But....to be honest (yes, even more honest)...I think this restaurant really deserves a change. It has the potential to grow and improve. So I will give it a change whenever I'm visiting Tilburg again. (and yes, I gave this feedback in person as well)
