Bright, fresh and pretty

Over the years I’ve eaten at this laneway cafe a bunch of times and it’s always great. Beautifully presented dishes packed full of flavour. Be sure to check out the cake and biscuit cabinet for a take home sweet treat.

Beautiful food

Great food.
A hope for a bigger venue with indoor seating as there's only outdoor and I'd like to be able to enjoy eating at Flora and Fauna whatever the weather!

Pros: Food, Nice outdoor seating

Cons: Cost, Lack of indoor seating

Lovely place for breakfast and lunch

I loved the vegan Mac and cheese truffle and the pesto toast. Juices and brownies are amazing too! The tables are outside with a lovely decoration in the street. Recommended!

Love!

I love Flora and Fauna. The food is so beautifully presented. My husband and I had our last breakfast together here before I was induced with our son, so if holds a special place in our hearts.

Looks better than it tastes

The food gets a 5/5 for instagramability, but a 3/5 for taste (and I have tried several things on their menu). I'm fine with excluding refined sugars, but if you're going to do that, you need to rely much more on other things like vanilla, agave/maple syrup, banana, or other strong sweet flavors. I know most refined sugars are not vegan, but some are totally fine, and I would have appreciated a bit of it.

Nice but expensive

I've been here a couple of times for food as well as coffee. Coffee is ok. Food is good, sugary at the times. I like the outdoor sitting.

Pros: Nice selection of vegan options

Cons: Expensive

It's all vegan!

Everything on the menu is vegan!
It was expensive, but I'm learning that food seems to be more expensive in WA.
Would recommend and will be back next time I'm in town

Pros: All vegan

Cons: Expensive

Just love that place

Nearly everything on their menu is vegan. Had a delicious apple crumble with a lot of fresh fruits. Vegan macn cheese was so tasty as well. Bit pricey but worth it. Vegan dessert/ cakes and next to the café is a vegan ice cream store!

Sweet treats in the cabinet

Lots of delicious vegan treats such as cookies, cupcakes, brownies and slices. Nice location in Northbridge across the road from hostels, they play nice music and staff are helpful. Nobody will bat an eyelid at you laughing at pigeons or shooing them. Watch out for deposits! Food is worth the money, it’s pricey but you get massive portions smothered in flowers and fruit.

Pros: Everything is served with flowers, Generous portions, Good music

Cons: Outdoor seating with no cover, Pigeons will come to finish your leftovers, Not really safe for peanut allergies

Great place

Great little cafe on a side street. Delicious brunch/breaky options. As far as I know they are closed on Mondays I think? So double check that. I had the lovely apple crumble for breakfast that’s topped with a colourful ensemble of fruits. Lovely little venue, can’t wait to go back!

Pros: Delicious

Cons: Not all vegan?

Delicious, but maybe overhyped?

Actual rating in my mind sits at 3.5/5.
Headed down here for brunch this morning with non veg sister and ordered the truffle mac & cheese and choco waffle (both vegan) to share between the both of us.

Yes, this place is pricey but I think for the serving sizes we got, the price was worth it.
Truffle mac & cheese was delicious! Both sis and I enjoyed immensely and would recommend. I believe it's on the menu for a limited time only so if you want to try it, visit soon!
My sis didn't like the texture of the choco waffle. We both liked the taste but I will admit that the waffle was rather hard to cut into!
Sis also ordered an elderflower pressed juice, which she said was refreshing.

Presentation was nice, though neither of us were too big a fan of all the flower petals - we much preferred the fresh fruits and veggies!

Pros: Whole menu was vegan, Pricey but big servings

Cons: Going a bit OTT with the floral decorations!

pretty good

The food was quite pricey, but very yummy. The coffee was bitter and not very well made, but the atmosphere of the place was wonderful.

Pros: nice atmosphere, fully vegan menu, good selection of food

Cons: mundane/bitter coffee, pricey

Brilliant brunch

Friendly staff greeted us with the menu, which includes clearly labelled vegan options (almost everything). The food looked incredible and tasted amazing. We had the apple crumble, burrito (it IS spicy!) and the bagel (mushrooms, and so much more!) and all loved our food. We also got take away biscuits from the all-vegan cabinet too. There were so many amazing options that we’re going back tomorrow to try the rest!

Pros: Amazing food, Friendly staff, Great atmosphere

The most instagrammable breakfast!

After hearing so many good things about this place, I finally made it down to Northbridge for breakfast at Flora and Fauna.
I had the Pumpkin Hummus on toast and it was simply delightful and the presentation was next level.
Lots of my non-vegan friends loved the vegan Apple Crumble as well!

Pros: Presentation!, Healthy meals

Cons: Price

Food Art

The presentation of the dishes is beautiful, it looks as if it was created for an Instagram post! Luckily the dishes follow through with the taste. It was a small menu, but there were a few different vegan choices.

Pros: Delicious, Beautiful presentation

Cons: Outside seating not great if the weather is bad

Most beautiful food presentation

Every time i go there I'm impressed with how beautiful all the dishes look. And everything is so delicious. Definitely a place to go to when you want to show others how amazing vegan food is. Menu changes every few weeks so there is always something new to try. They also make their own cakes-highly recommended
One thing though- be ready to sit outside, so when the weather is not looking good I wouldn't go there. I'm not sure what happens when it starts raining as there's no umbrellas or shelters ther

Pros: Beautiful food presentation, Nice staff

Cute little cafe with outdoor settings, really friendly staff, and nice decor. Ate the mushroom bagel and it was MASSIVE and absolutely delicious. Took away some cookies for lunch but have already started to nibble at them too.
I'll be back!

Small but expensive

Flora and Fauna is a small café just off Aberdeen Street. The location is a bit unfortunate - it's next to Varsity so there's always loud music playing and you can't enjoy the nice music F&F is playing. The café is very small and only fits about three people so you have to sit outside. There's a lot to chose from, all the main dishes were vegan when I went there and many were Gluten Free too. They have a large amount of cake slices, bananabread and juices. The bad thing is that they're all quite expensive. 15-20$ is the normal price for a food plate and the cakeslices start at 7$ so if you're really hungry be prepared to spend at least 30$. I had a ricemilk coffee (5$) which was delicious - they roast the coffee locally - I'd say it's high quality.

Pros: Lovely staff and furniture , Mostly vegan, Coffee is roasted locally and delicious

Cons: Location - next to Varsity so there's loud music p, Expensive
