Went here for our Anniversary. Extremely beautiful menu - food was exceptional. I was concerned about plates being large enough to share but they were perfect for sharing and we were very full! I cannot wait to go back!

Delicious, Unique, Perfect for Date Night! - Edit
The selection is well curated and perfectly balanced. Every dish is something unique that would be difficult to find anywhere else. And the drink selection is equally great (highly recommend the orange wine!!). Our absolute favorite was the rutabaga fondu. I could eat this every time I dine at Fancy Radish!
Read moreDishes are for sharing, and are pretty decent in proportion. I would say they are good to share among two people, but not more if you have good appetites.
The prices are average for DC and were around what we expected. Service was very good! The restaurant was abiding by all covid rules and we felt perfectly safe eating indoors.
100% would recommend to vegan and non-vegan friends!

Best vegan food anywhere - Edit
There is so much variety in the small dishes, each as delicious as the next, you want to try them all. They put together combinations you would never think of yourself, like the beet and tofu open-faced sandwich with dill, omg, so good. The atmosphere and servers are as good as the food, kind of understated and elegant. I hope they survive the pandemic!

Surprisingly awesome - Edit
This upscale vegan restaurant serves unusually delicious, meticulously crafted, creative, tapas-like portions. We tried 9 of them (including desserts) and every one was amazingly well-made, with complex flavors and textures, and perfectly cooked. The drinks from the very complete bar were likewise in the gourmet category (several of the wines were >$100 a bottle). I would say it was expensive but worth it, and definitely a great treat for a special occasion. Memorable. Friendly staff. Reservations recommended.

Spiffy, creative, but over salted - Edit
Upscale modern decor on H street NE. Eclectic menu, quick, expert service as expected in this price range. 7:30 dinner on a Sunday night was packed w all tables apparently occupied. Reservations are wise here.
Read moreIn low light dining conditions, roasted Brussels sprouts dish, both taste & texture, amazingly like bacon. Rutabaga fondue creamy and very much reminiscent of cheese. Great dishes for omnivores trying veggie cooking.
But for us long-time plant-based eaters, there was just too much added oil and salt in the dishes for a 5-star rating. Spouse described sauce on the otherwise terrific tofu steak as “like brine,” and one could see the layer of oil shimmering at the edges of the dish even in the low light conditions. (When ordering, we had specifically asked our waiter for low salt & oil!). Delicious, creative and unusual flavors & textures didn’t make up for this.
With a bare concrete floor and reflective walls, ceiling & furniture and fairly closely-packed tables in a full house, it was quite noisy throughout our meal.
3-course dinner for two w bottled water, one glass of wine & one espresso each 20% tip & tax = $171.00.

Yum - Edit
Food was so good. They were good at accommodating our very large party. Some of portions are small so if you’re very hungry you’ll want to try a couple things.

We went to Fancy Radish with high expectations and it did not disappoint! We picked five plates to share and they were all delicious. In particular, the maitake mushroom was amazing.

Hip, cool & delish - Edit
This is the kind of fancier but not pretentious place that vegans need. There’s a great but not long list of choices from small to large, fun cocktails, and a very small wine & beer list. The food is very creative and super delicious, but the portions are fairly small. Fortunately the prices are reasonably small as well. Come here anytime you want a really nice, beautifully presented, and extremely tasty meal.

Very nice - Edit
We had a lovely dinner here. We were not able to make a reservation, but there is seating at the bar or the counter in back for walk-ins. The recommended order is 2 to 3 items per person. We ordered 4 for the 2 of us, which was minimal depending on your appetite. The dishes were presented sequentially. We had the rutabaga fondu, trumpet mushrooms, chermoula grilled tofu, and seared maitaki mushrooms. All were nice, especially the mushrooms. The dishes were on the oil heavy side. We also had the sour cherry turnover and cranberry sorbet for dessert. This was well worth the visit.

Every single dish was a taste sensation, truly. Hands down, one of the very best dining experiences ever. Service was amazing as well. They have every dish nailed! My SO is transitioning to plant based, and he was thrilled with each and every bite.

Delicious dinner in DC - Edit
Took my family here for dinner today and I was super delighted when I first saw the menus. We did not have reservations but had no problem finding seating at the bar. The place gets very busy, so you should make reservations.. I ordered the Scallion Pancakes and the Warm Shaved Brussels and both were delicious. For dessert (and you need to save room for desert), I had the Dark Chocolate Namelaka and it was superb. My wife had the Strawberry Shortcake and it was even better (we shared). As a new vegan I find it great to come across all-vegan restaurants like this one who offer great quality vegan cuisine that is of the highest quality. This is a must stop if you’re in DC area.

This place is fantastic - Edit
Visited this place and tried 7 out of the 12 meals available in the menu. All 7 were really really good. I would say the best food experience since I turned to a plant based diet some for years ago. Flavors and textures are fantastic and very unlike much other options. Service was great and food was presented in a thoughtful and perfect order. Highly recommend this place.

Philly’s Best Vegan Comes to DC - Edit
The Fancy Radish brings Vedge’s approach to inventive, colorful vegan fare to DC. If you have the time, it is a perfect place to take your vegan friends for sone of the best eats you can find in the Metro area. Even non-vegan friends will be impressed by the flavors and the care put into the food.

Some of the best vegan fine dining anywhere - Edit
The food at Fancy Radish is absolutely incredible! I visited V Street in Philadelphia a couple of years ago and was blown away by what Rich Landau and Kate Jacoby had accomplished, that was my favorite vegan place in the world at the time. Fancy Radish may be even better! My fiance and I tried several of their small dishes and each was better than the last - a particular stand out was the spicy dan dan noodles.
