Got food poisoning here - Edit
Got diarrhoea eating here! Also taste wasn’t that great. I do worry about the hygiene standards in this place due to my experience.

Hi I ate the noodle dish. Let me try upload a pic. I ate at sauce tree vegan too on my second trip (return leg) and i didn’t get food poisoning at all. Recommend that place over this.

THE BEST VEGAN FOOD IN BALI! - Edit
I cannot rate this place high enough! Been here a few times and it did not disappoint a single one.
Read moreThe bowls are MASSIVE and soooo cheap!!! They even have local vegan food that’s super tasty too with different kinds of mock meats (beef, chicken, fish).
And the service is truly outstanding, the gentlemen working there are so so nice and welcoming, they even suggested us what to order and told us that we were probably ordering too much food (which was true and we appreciated!).
Honestly best place to dine if you’re in Bali and looking for vegan and accordingly priced.
Can’t wait to be back!!!
Pros: Service, Flavours!, Price

Let me tell you these portions were BIG. Thought I ordered a small entre and a main, ended up being two huge dishes and took half home as leftovers ! Yummm. Think the noodles were the best thing I’ve had in Bali so far! Want them again

Super Super cheap and huge portions - Edit
100% vegan now. Some options not available often (eg martabek, spring rolls).
Read moreThe Korean paste they use for the korean chips is incredibly spicy.
I like chilli sauce (super hots), but even the medium is bordering on too hot.

Un posticino semplice e pulito, nonostante la location in un posto abbastanza caotico e sporco. I piatti semplicemente divini. Abbiamo mangiato i migliori udon di tutta la vacanza. Il personale gentilissimo.

Best Chicken Karage! - Edit
Great little place in a food court off a Main Street. The parking/food court attendant is very helpful and seemed to kinda run the whole place. Famous vegetarian vegan staff are great, super friendly and fast. The Chicken Karage is amazing and tasted just like KFC chicken, Korean tofu was great but spicy! Beef black pepper tasted like the real deal.

Just what I needed! - Edit
I'm at the point where I needed something other than Indonesian flavours, so I thought I'd go give this place a try.
Read moreIt's part of a warung food court, the yellow stall at the back. It's quite a nice outdoor food court. The dining area under the big pavilion with the fans circulating was a cool respite.
The food is a bit of a multicultural affair, nicely priced, and with options ranging from healthy salad bowls to fried "chicken", to curry, etc.
I had the chicken karage, served with Mayo, and the rice paper rolls served with peanut sauce, and I enjoyed both.
With some of the dishes, you can choose from a seitan style chicken, tofu, tempe, or eggplant, which I thought was a great idea.
I'd love to explore more of the menu. So I would definitely recommend giving them a try.
They also deliver to your accommodation via the Grab and Gojek apps.
Pros: The options. , The prices., The flavours.

Vegan and vegetarian warung - Edit
Clearly marked separate vegan menu and vegetarian menu within in a traditional warung outdoor food court. Japanese, Vietnamese and Indonesian themed cuisines. Delicious and big, cheap portions! Mock meats, tofu balls and more.

Standard - Edit
I went to Famous relatively early (9.30am) and would say on the whole it's not a breakfast place. On this particular day I was dying for some vegetables, so I had a quick check on HappyCow and found this place and squizzed their menu and concluded vegetables could be found here.
Read moreI arrived and it's a bit of a food court area; there are several warungs all around some communal tables. All the chairs were still on the tables and the place looked a little desserted, but 2 of the warungs had staff in them, I was lucky that Famous was one of them.
I approached and asked if they were open, and one of the staff members said yes. They both then turned back to what they were doing and didn't look my way again. It was a little strange. I admit, I'd obviously come during their prep time so they maybe were technically 'open', but not welcoming customers yet.
I tried to order the bibimbap bowl but was told the only bowl they had available was the tofu poke bowl. I was pleased with this as an alternative.
The food came promptly and it was a generous sized portion, for me there was too much rice- it was about 2 cups of sushi rice underneath the veggies, so might have you bouncing off the walls if you're not used to that much! The tofu had a different coating than I've had in other places in Bali, it was a bit grainy, maybe it was gluten free, I don't know. It felt less oily, so I'm a fan. The dressing was nice, but a little bit too much dressing for me.
If I was in the area again I'd go back, but not in a hurry, I think there are other, nicer places. The menu I think has recently been upgraded and it looks to be completely vegan which is a great step. The location is right on the road side and can be noisy and dirty.
Pros: fully vegan menu, tasty poke bowl
Cons: staff weren't welcoming/ attentive, Location is noisy/ dirty

Awesome allium-free vegetarian/vegan food - Edit
They can customise food to be allium-free (no onion garlic). Portions are huge so if you are thinking of ordering the 'sides' like tofu fries or eggplant fries, be sure to have someone to share it with cause for 1 person, the portion can serve as a main.
Read moreHad the tofu spicy and egg plant chips. Liked the tofu spicy more, flavour is very Korean.
Tried the tofu katsu curry and the brocoli meat balls dish. Katsu curry was a lil meh, with too much carbs for me (potatoes in curry rice). Brocoli meat balls were great tho.

Disappointing - Edit
They really need to learn the difference between vegan and vegetarian. Unfortunately many of the dishes are only vegetarian. Even the burgers because they use buns with egg in. 🤦♂️

Small shop located in a little square of food vendors, away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas. Good range of options, friendly service, affordable. No drinks on offer, however drinks are only a 1 minute walk away at a Circle K.
