Food was delicious. Eaten there twice at lunchtime this holiday but wouldn't go again this trip as not enough options: Choice of three falafel wraps, falafel salad and then some specials. The specials contained dairy when we went.

Service was great the first time we went as very quiet. Was busier the second time round and so service was a bit slow.

Really nice place, great food and so cheap, we shared 4 small dishes and had 2 glasses of wine and 2 deserts for €36. Probably the best falafels I’ve ever had and I’ve tried a lot, you should go here

Delightful hideaway in centre of town - Edit
Down an alleyway is this hidden gem, with inside seating and best of all, a lovely covered courtyard type area with several tables.

Update : returned again end of May, for more superb food including some of their daily specials. The coffee, the cakes, and the wine are great too 😋

Kleines Restaurant zwischen den Gassen, wo man zufällig vorbei kommt oder es aufsuchen muss. Man sitzt sehr schön und angenehm 😊 Kleine Karte mit Tagesgerichten und ich würde sagen, jeder findet da was. Das Essen wird sehr schön angerichtet und es schmeckt wie es aussieht, super gut 👍 Das Personal war auch sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir waren an einem Tag zwei mal dort, war also sehr überzeugend. 😃

We had the guacamole nachos for starters, the Madeira falafel wraps for mains, and the apple tart for dessert, with of course a bottle of wine. All were excellent including the wine (Catarina). Service and ambiance too.

Cette adresse bien cachée est un véritable oasis de paix! On y est au calme, dans une petite cour intérieure.

Les plats étaient frais & savoureux. Les saveurs bien balancées.
Nous nous sommes régalés du plat aux desserts décadents.
De plus, ils y servent du thé local fait à partir d'ingrédients récoltés sur l'île.

Nice little restaurant in centre of Funchal - Edit
Lovely old building and helpful staff. Enjoyed the savoury items (wrap + fries and a curry) and a panacotta dessert but the slice of cake turned out to be sickly sweet. The prices were reasonable and we would like to have tried more items from the menu but could not fit in another visit within their Mon-Fri opening times.

Read moreThey have a menu and daily specials, I’m pretty sure it’s all vegan? Or nearly all. We had broccoli soup and then shared a Maderian wrap & the dish of the day which was spag bol. Unfortunately we had no room for dessert.
We had 2 courses and 2 coffees and it all came to only €24 for two people. Friendly staff, really fresh food and an interesting choice. Menus in English as well.

We were told of this restaurant by our host. And it didn't disappoint. Good and tasty vegan options in a vegetarian restaurant. We had the falafels, with a nice soya yogurt sauce, and the daily special, which was a lentil pie with salad. The juices were also fresh and tasty.
