The second location of Eva's Apples. As of June 2015, the only 100% vegan shop in town. Located just a few meters from Zytglogge. Carries everything you need for a vegan life. It also sells gluten free and raw food products. Also included is the Curry Bazar, that offers over 20 different mixed curries. Reported closed October 2021.

Thank you Eva's Apples! - Edit
When I moved to Bern, I was a little worried about how I'd find obscure vegan foods. I'll admit that it would be my preference to not have a need for a vegan store. It's getting increasingly easy to find vegan--even clearly marked vegan--items in mainstream stores. But, we aren't there yet. Eva's apples offers a wide variety of items you can trust to be vegan, from desserts to shoes! I greatly appreciate having Eva's Apples nearby, even if my long-term hope is that, someday, such niche stores won't be necessary.

Great small vegan shop with a lot of various products. They even have a section of "in bulk / zero waste" goods. The owner is helpful and nice.

Kleiner schöner Shop in der Berner Altstadt - Edit
Ich muss sagen, ich war etwas enttäuscht da der Laden auf den Bildern viel grösser und geräumiger aussieht. Aufgrund dessen habe ich dementsprechend ein grosses Sortiment erwartet. Schlussendlich war ich dann doch zufrieden, ich habe eigentlich alles gefunden was ich gebraucht habe. Ausserdem waren die Angestellten sehr freundlich und was ich super fand waren die vielen Broschüren und Heftli die man beim Eingang mitnehmen konnte! Ausserdem bieten sie auch faire Accessoires und Schuhe an, was ich bis jetzt noch nie in Bern gesehen habe.

Der Laden ist geräumig und gut sortiert, ein Paradies an veganen Produkten sogar mit gekühlten Lebensmitteln wie Käsealternativen.

Staff is easy and orders stuff if needed, other than that a nice collection of products. Fake meats, vegan cheeses, veg shoes, vitamin supplements, sweets & chocolate, nuts, snacks etc.

First vegan shop in Bern - Edit
Second Eva's Apple shop in Switzerland, and larger than the first one in Zurich. Good selection of vegan products, including faux meat and vegan cheese.
Read moreThere was a shop selling indian curries and pulses at this loctaion before and they are still offering their products in the new "Eva's Apple", so if you like to cook indian curries, you'll find some pulses and curry pastes here that you don't get in a regular health food or vegan shop.
Very conveniently located near the "Zytglogge".

Read moreIf you are looking for some small snacks or some delicious tofu, you will find it there! Also you should definitly try out some swiss-vegan-chocolate :-)!
Sadly they don`t serve sandwiches or something like that, but as I heard, that will chance soon!
