Five Star Taste Sensation - Edit
All thanks to my lovely Cousin Joy from Pewsey in Wiltshire for leading me to this superb Ethiopian Vegan street food situated within the Southbank Food Market which is also worth exploring.
Read moreI found Ethiopiques, paying just £3 for a selection normally setting you back £8 - I opted for 6-8pm pick up, although I did not get a heads up on the exact collection time, I headed over around 7.30pm, the guy took hold of my plastic container ( tip: take a large size! ) and proceeded to generously fill with a terrific array of mouth watering dishes, cooked to perfection by a very friendly crew.
Had the selection at around 5am after a night out clubbing, decided not to reheat and my taste buds were on fire. In my 60 years this was my first taste of Ethiopia and for sure it wont be my last. So FIVE Stars to Ethiopiques. Edit by staff - see ToS.
Pros: Terrific Value, Great Selection, Great Location

Best food in the Market - Edit
I always get the special witch has a little bit of everything on it. The food here is so good and you get a good portion for the price. Strangers always come up to me say they wish the went to Ethiopiques instead of whatever stall they went to. It must really show that I love their food 😂.

huge disappointment. - Edit
the restaurant announced the sale of food in the application togoodtogo, knowing that the whole market is closed that day, we lost time and money to get to you and... return home.

Very nice food, for 8£ you get a full meal, the one featured in the main photo, with lentils, okra, chickpeas, spinach, injera, some salad . Not spicy but with plenty of hot sauce available. All vegan 🤗

Phenomenal - Edit
I’ve been to Ethiopiques a few times now and it’s always amazing. It’s a little pricey given the location but that’s the going rate around the area and the food is worth every penny. I always go for the full plate as you get to sample each thing. Would highly recommend!

Excellent for vegans, as most Ethiopian cuisine is. - Edit
Ethiopian food in general is excellent for vegans , wholesome and healthy. This is no exception . The range you get on one plate is great. Much better value for money than other stalls at this central London market; just unpretentious, good food!

Tasty and varied - Edit
Fresh, tasty food, and all vegan. I had the set plate, which is basically a bit of everything including salad and injera. It was very good, with lots of variety, although I would have preferred it a bit spicier.

not a lot of flavor - Edit
Was a bit disappointed with the lack of spice in the dishes, there just wasn’t a lot of the flavor I’d expect from Ethiopian and only a small amount of injera.

everything apparently is vegan! - Edit
This was a great place for healthy vegan food - everything can be mixed and all is vegan including the Ethiopian bread - the mix included okra curry, lentils, couscous etc. £7 for the plate which is quite expensive but it was delicious!
