Delicious Chinese Food!

A must visit place for great vegan Chinese food.
The portions are big on size and flavor.

I had the taro, pumpkin fatty pork dish which was very tasty. I loved the generous taro pieces a nd sauce but the fatty pork texture is something I would ask for again, but may be enjoyed by meat lovers.

The spicy kung pao chicken was the highlight, this was the best chicken I've have since going vegan! So tasty, with a bit of spice and lots of broccoli.

I also go the sticky rice dumpling, it was a big portion, but I was anticipating it to be sweet but it was very savoury and a bit dry.

The menu is HUGE and there is something for everyone. I hope you try it out and enjoy!

Pros: Huge menu, Big portions, Lovely staff and efficient service

Awful

I don't understand how this place is still in business. I literally gagged when I tried one of the items we ordered (some sort of rice ball).

Everything was bad. The fake meat items had a funky wrong taste. I could barely eat anything (just a few of the veggies and rice).

Pros: none

Cons: Terrible food

Really delicious chinese food

Almost all dishes on the menu are vegan, those that are not vegan are marked. Really nice place, was the perfect start to our tour through China Town.

Almost all vegan

We enjoyed our soup and entrees immensely. Restaurant is casual and friendly. Huge menu with a variety of choices.

Easy walk from cable car (Powell & Jackson stop) for lunch after a ride.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Non vegan options are the exception and clear, Great food

Cons: Appetizer and entree arrived together.

Perfect mix of more traditional and fake meat options

Wonderful place to try something new. Some dishes are very simple and some use fake meat to mimic the typical American Chinese restaurant food.
There are a lot of things you won't find on many menus in the USA.
It's easy access from various Muni buses, on the edge of Chinatown. Simple clean interior, dine in or takeout, English is spoken.

Pros: All vegan huge menu (dozens of options) , Easy to find , Good value

Food is okay, but very oily

Went here with a large group, and ordered a lot of food. In general, all the food was very processed and way too oily. I am not against either, but it was just too much for me. I didn’t feel good about eating it. Most of the food was just ok, I probably wouldn’t reorder anything except for the beef.

Pros: Variety of mock meats

Cons: Very processed and oily

Tons of options!

So many choices! In the city for 7 days and we ate her numerous times since it was within walking distance from our hotel in Union Square. Loved the Mongolian Beef and Kung Pao Chicken. Quick service and reasonably priced. You won't walk away hungry.

Very good vegan food

I went with a non-vegan friend, and we both really liked our food and service.

I especially loved the vegan Spare Ribs with Broccoli. But the Vegetarian Duck was also really good.

Pros: Large menu of vegan food , Reasonably priced , Large portions

Amazing Vegetarian Chinese

We were a group of 4 who visited on Monday 28th May 2018 and were certainly not disappointed - this place is all about the taste.

One of the best Chinese meals we've ever eaten and all vegetarian - don't be put off by the imitation meat dishes. Particularly enjoyed the Hot & Sour Soup with Wantons and the sweet walnuts, as well as the tofu prepared at least 3 different ways.

Arrive early - they were closing at 9pm on the day we ate and were turning people away (saying takeaway only) at 8.45ish.

Give them a try - well worth it!

Pros: Fully vegetarian, Amazing taste, Efficient staff

Cons: Closes early

couldn't finish food

Was greeted coldly. They served tea, but have to ask for water. I ordered the hot and sour soup with wantons, and it was way too spicy. I mean I love spicy food, but this was barely edible. Somewhat pricey as well...

Pros: vegan option in Chinatown

Cons: food way to spicy, cold service, Somewhat pricey

Excellent Veganized Chinese food :)

The menu was overwhelming, but in a good way... SO many options! Their faux meat dishes were extensive, and we ordered the wonton soup and the kung pao soy chicken. The service was prompt and the food was very yummy and comforting.

very good

Being a vegan I was like a kid in a candy store. The food was good, don't have to worry about ordering anything off the menu that has animal in it. I'll definitely be back the food was amazing. Try the roasted duck dish it was very good.

Pros: vegan food

Cons: nothing

Good stuff.

I liked this place a lot. It was yummy. It was cheap and fast. All kinds of different fake meat stuff, which I love. The only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is they forgot one of the items we ordered.

Pros: lots of fake meat stuff

Great food

Everything we ordered was great, dumplings, wonton soup, shanghai noodle something.. When I read they don't use garlic and I think onions I was worried but you don't even notice.

Pros: Tons of menu items.

Cons: chop sticks are hard

Expensive and "extra" charge for everything

Who charges for white and brown rice in a Chinese restaurant in Chinatown. Well this restaurant does and $3.00 for mushrooms...you got to be kidding me. Food was ok after paying all these extras.

Pros: N/a, N/a, N/a

Not very good

I've eaten at some great vegetarian Chinese restaurants in LA and in Taiwan. This place is not competitive. I was on vacation and figured SF would have good vegie Chinese food.. This place is not it. Can't understand how it gets good reviews unless we were just there on a bad night.

Pros: location, not crowded

Cons: Sub par food, Poor service

Excellent vegan Chinese food

The extensive menu is almost entirely vegan. Everything we ate was superb - full of flavour. It was a real treat to find a Chinese restaurant where I could order almost anything on the menu! The service was fine, though not overtly friendly, which has affected my rating. But the food was worthy of five stars.

Good food, bad service

Had lunch there today. Food was tasty and portions were ample. Pretty extensive menu. Restaurant is clean and bright.

Service was rude. When taking our order the waitress was obviously not paying attention. Got one of the dishes we ordered wrong. She said I had ordered the wrong number but I also stated the name of the dish and she repeated it back to me so there should have been no misunderstanding.

I didn't make a stink about it and told her we were fine with the other dish (it was good). If anything she might have offered a mild nopology (I don't recall) but if so that was it.

Beyond all that, service was civil and that's about it.

Would not avoid the place but wouldn't intentionally go back there either. Not a great experience.

Pros: extensive menu both fake meat and no meat dishes, reasonable prices.

Cons: service

Tasty Vegan Chinese food

My 21-year old son, who recently became vegan, and I were looking for a decent lunch spot and were pleased we found Enjoy. He loved the "chick'n" wings, but they were almost too realistic for me. I did enjoy the 'seitan beef' dish (pictured) and Szechuan chicken entrée. The service is brisk and efficient, though not overly friendly and the ambience is average. Overall, a good vegan lunch and I would come back if in SF Chinatown.

Pros: good vegan Chinese food, quick service

Cons: average ambience, not super friendly

Delicious

My favourites are the Vegetables Chow Mein noodles and the Eggplant, Tofu & Basil w/ Satay Sauce.
Everytime we eat there with non vegan friends I try to order these and they're always appreciated.

Most of the dishes are vegan but they also have some vegetarian dishes and also some with seafood all clearly marked on the menu.

Pros: variety, rapid service

Cons: no parking, but huge payed parking nearby, not 100% vegan !

Food that makes you smile

We are both vegan. We had the wanton noodle soup and the mixed vegetables which were really great. Lots of veggies tasty and fresh. But the highlight was the egg plant and tofu in satay sauce it was unreal. This place is well worth a visit. And a good price for lots of food. Delicious!!!

Delicious, authentic vegetarian Chinese

I went with my family on a Saturday night, and the restaurant was about 2/3 full. (The interior photos showing empty tables were taken at the end of the evening.) Just about everything was delicious and perfect. Steamed dumplings had a thin, delicate, handmade skin, with a filling that tasted like fresh scallion, which my youngest daughter didn't like, but the rest of us loved. We all loved the soft tofu with "fish," the rice cakes with preserved mustard, beef & broccoli. the won ton soup, and the lotus root with peas and ginkgo nuts. If you've never had fresh lotus root, which is infinitely better than canned lotus root, it's a real treat and tastes like a cross between a potato and a water chestnut.

The only thing we didn't like was the zhong zi- sticky rice steamed in leaves. It wasn't terrible but the filling was a lot of mung beans and the only one of us who liked it was my mother.

The service could've been better. They were not rude, but it was hard to get the attention of a server when we needed it. It seemed like they were short-handed that night.

The menu just has a handful of nonvegan items, marked in red, so it's clear that they are not vegan.

Highly recommend!
