Steak is mind blowing - Edit
My brain is struggling to understand how this steak is made. It’s so realistic to steak it’s insane. Loved it so much. Peanut butter cheesecake was bomb too 💣

Outstanding vegan food - Edit
I could not believe how good the steak dinner was tonight. I went vegan 6 years ago but used to be a very big meat eater. This steak took me back but without all the guilt I used to have knowing I was causing harm to an animal. The malt vinegar fries were delicious and the peanut butter cheese cake was delightful. Great service from Parker and great vibe.

Nice. - Edit
I got the elemental burger plus cheese with malt vinegar fries. It was all delicious. The place doesn't feel like a well oiled machine but I sat at the bar and my server (John?) was really nice. It's a plus that they offer organic ketchup.

All delicious - Edit
We were planning on going to another vegan restaurant today, but then I got an email from EG advertising Juicy Marbles prime rib this weekend. We’ve been wanting to try Juicy Marbles, so we didn’t want to miss this opportunity. My husband had that, and it came with a side of garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. I had the Bulgogi with a very realistic, vegan egg on top. We had “wings” as an appetizer. It was all delicious and filling. Their portions seem small, but it was all very filling. The service was great, so we had a wonderful experience altogether.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Edit
Smash Burger is good if you enjoy the Impossible Burger. Recently I had the coconut shrimp special and it was really good. The shrimp itself was unremarkable but the sauce and coconut on top was very good. The first few times I went the nachos were also good but it was less so the last time I visited. I wouldn’t recommend the bbq plate. The sauce was a strange spicy bbq and the cole slaw was chopped so finely it tasted like mush. Desserts generally taste stale or dry, probably due to not being made in house. I like that the menu changes though so it gives a reason to come back.

Comfort food downtown - Edit
A mashup of bar food and comfort food, smack in the middle of downtown Raleigh. An easy, casual atmosphere with good service. We felt comfortable lingering over drinks. The mains we tried, Brunswick stew and chick'n pot pie, were pretty tasty, but the real standouts were the BBQ nachos and the peanut butter cheesecake. Not inexpensive.

I wasn’t expecting much in the way of vegan food in Raleigh, but I was presently surprised by Element! I ordered the BBQ sandwich with the kale Caesar salad, both which were delicious. For dessert, I had the peanut butter cheesecake, which was ridiculously good as well.

Cool theme - Edit
Love that the theme is the periodic table! Bring all of your STEM friends, lol. We had the Caesar salad and Southern plate and bugged the very patient Kristen on life in Raleigh. We came early when it was slow, but it surely gets some nightlife. I am not used to all vegan places that have a bar; it is still a thrill to me. The Caesar salad was a huge portion, and the prices are very reasonable. Wish we had more time in this town of friendly people, most of whom seem to be recently arrived.

Amazing Southern Bar Food - Edit
If nachos are on the menu I’m always going to get them and the BBQ nachos did not disappoint. Also got the double fried Chik’n sandwich, which reminded me of a chick-fil-a sandwich minus all the horrible business practices. The malt vinegar fries were amazing and as my girlfriend said “I could eat these all day”. We didn’t have room for dessert, but this was our favorite place in Raleigh during our visit for sure.

Been a long time since have had proper tasting cheesecake, my partner and I came back here after visiting the museum because we forgot to order dessert. So glad we did! The cheesecake was smooth and creamy just like I remember real cheesecake. Service was also very friendly and the location was nice. Drinks were good, too. Wish I lived closer😄

This place is gold - Edit
My spouse and I went here thursday 9/7/23 during hopscotch festival and despite it being super busy everything tasted really good!
Read moreI had the crispy chik'n with fries for 14.50. The crispy chik'n had really good flavor and the fries had a great malt flavor.
My spouse had the kale caesar for 13.00 which was good for a salad!
For dessert I had Pops peanut butter cheesecake for 9.50. The crust was so good and the cheesecake was really light.
We both had a pineapple margarita for 10 and my spouse had a covid killah for 12. The pineapple margarita was really, really good and was pretty strong.
My only huge complaint was that it was completely understaffed. There were only 2 people staffed for a completely full patio. The staff did a great job but they need a couple more employees.
Pros: Flavorful fries, Captivating cheesecake , Peaceful patio
Cons: Short handed staff

Really wanted to like this place - Edit
Disclaimer: it’s a gas topic and I didn’t order pub food (mostly) so please try it for yourself.
Read moreI had such high hopes for this place. The reviews were good and the menu items sounded great. I was excited about the oyster Rockefeller until I got inside and was told that although it was still on the menu, they no longer had the item. They also didn’t have the cheesecake. Initial let down!!!
I went back and forth for a while and ended up just tying a few random items that weren’t burgers or sandwiches. I hesitated to do this because most of the reviews and photos were of the pub items but as a vegan, we eat a lot of Impossible burgers and I just wasn’t feeling it at the moment.
I placed my order, waited about 15 minutes then 10 more and finally got my food. I was taking it to go so I opened the containers to ensure everything was there and immediately texted my wife to say “ahm, I think I may have ordered the wrong things.”
Wings: these were more like “large MCDonalds nuggets” as the waitress described them. I ordered them tossed in sweet chili sauce. Now these tasted a lot better than they looked. I was impressed. The flavor was on point and so was the texture (not too tough) and the ranch dressing was ranching. I ate them all (over two days) and I’d order these again.
Soup: I ordered the Last Stew of the cold (will post a pic of the ingredients) but I think they gave me the vegetable soup of the day. This was very disappointing and all I tasted was celery. I tried it twice and just couldn’t do it.
Duo Shroom Bolognese: y’all I am a mushroom fanatic and I’d been wanting a nice savory pasta, so I was soooo excited about this dish. Again I was hesitant to order because it’s not bar food. I asked the waitress if she’d tried it, she said she’d recently done so and it was good. I am now giving her taste buds a side eye. This dish had absolutely no seasoning. It literally tasted like I was eating shrooms and I couldn’t bear it. I had to stop and let my wife taste it to make sure I wasn’t already tripping 🍄… I wasn’t. Thankfully I’ve learned and travel with some seasoning in my bag so I sprinkled some seasoning and finished most of it because I needed something other than 3 wings to soak up the alcohol I was heading to consume.
All in all I am not a fan but if I’m back in the area and craving a burger or sandwich I’d give them another try cause maybe the pub food is the ⭐️

Fun, plant based birthday dinner! - Edit
We had a great dining experience for my husband’s birthday while visiting the city. The manager Caroline worked especially hard to make sure we had an enjoyable evening - and I’m sure all the other diners felt equally accommodated. The plant based menu was great. We got to share some plant based food with our family and it was such a fun evening. A lot of the staff was new but they were all doing such a great job. Highly recommend.
