Must visit: cheap, local & delicious - Edit
I really don't understand why they have such bad reviews, this was just delicious! We stumbled upon it by accident. It's very cheap and the main dish comes with a drink and a starter. Even though the name says 'vegetarian' everything was vegan on the menu. It's not the coziest restaurant, but the food is healthy and delicious and you eat with locals. They have a small shop and I bought some wheat gluten for homemade seitan.

Great staff - Edit
Their staff is super friendly - they were closing up the shop for the day but still squeezed me in for a delicious meal. The waiter was very considerate and asked if I am vegan and offered options to replace certain items for dishes that had cheese. If you are hungry, this place will stuff your face for under 5 dollars.

Good choices and efficient - Edit
Good value for money for lunch. You pick from a range of mains and get a small soup, small salad from a self-service salad bar, a juice, and a small plate of fruit. The mains we had were good but not amazing and the juice wasn't to our taste, although I think it was just that the fruit wasn't our favourite and not a problem with the juice (people who arrived after us got a different juice). You'll probably still be full at dinner time.

Food is good, but not the best. It is a good option when you're around. Not pet-friendly which is pretty inconvient for some of us. It has a small market with some great options.

Hostile attitude - Edit
I made a special effort to go there, managed to get past the cult vibe and asked the man at the counter where I should sit. His response: "You want to eat?" Odd question in a restaurant. So I repeated that I was there alone for lunch and wanted to know where to sit. He pointed out several already prepared dishes on the counter and said, "option 1 option 2, option 3." I asked if he could describe what they were, but he just repeated the numbers. I don't know if they were to be served cold or microwaved, but this plus his hostile attitude was enough and I left. I had addressed him in Spanish, which I know is accented, but totally understandable. He insisted in responding in English baby-talk. I tried to give this restaurant 1 star, but this site will not allow that for vegetarian restaurants.

pretty good - Edit
They have a choice of 5 set lunches, 4 of which were vegan when we were there. the food was good but not exceptional although with the soy cheese and fried stuff more on the heavy side (which can be lovely, depending on what you look for). The locality is spacious but rather dark and not very atmospheric. Because it opens right to the street, the car exhaust is always present.

not great - Edit
Too heavy, not for the vegetarian that likes light fresh foods and vegetables. If want dishes full of rice pasta etc...then you may like it.

Good vegan tamal - Edit
[Went there on July 23rd, 2015, and they told me that they were open everyday. Although, they were closed earlier than what they told me so I can't be sure.]
Read moreI went there for the breakfast, and I chose the tamal (COP 6.500) which was filling and good (the tamal was filled with potatoes, carrots, chickpeas, green peas, TSP and seitan). The juice was at 2.400.
They told me the menu was at 8.800, which seems okay, but I didn't try it.

Cheap and decent food - Edit
Plenty of vegan options and all the meals are really cheap! I had a meal with fried plantain which was decent but nothing too special. My two meat eating Colombian friends had the same but didn't really like it. It came with a very nice vegetable soup though. My vegan friend ordered a burger and thought it was good but not great. But anyway for that price (7000 pesos) I won't complain too much!

Definitely worth trying! - Edit
We really liked the set menu, it was a decent value, quite a bit of food and a variety. The Hare Krishna atmosphere is nice and they have other events and cooking classes too. They also have lasagna and sandwiches, and natural foods to go like soy milk powder and almonds and honey.
