Wonderful find

A fine place to introduce a meat eating friend to the wonderful world of vegan food. We both enjoyed an excellent meal. It may be expensive by local standards but the quality is up there and it is certainly not expensive by European prices. Surprisingly large seating area and not as ‘mismatched’ rustic as you often find in smaller vegan establishments.

Pros: Mostly vegan with a few cheesy veggie options, Great service, Good wine list

Lovely food but a bit expensive

Visited tonight with friends. The restaurant is really beautifully decorated and the staff were friendly and helpful. We all ordered something different and enjoyed it. I felt it was a little expensive for what it was but only because there are so many amazing vegan places in Santiago. It could easily be totally vegan as only a few options on the menu included milk. Definitely the place to go for a slightly fancier meal out but not my favourite place. P.s the portion sizes are really big.

Pros: Loads of vegan options , Big portion sizes , Beautiful interior

Cons: A little pricey

Excellent food

Omni friends living in Santiago suggested it and we were once more positively surprised by the variety and quality of the vegan food available in Santiago.

It is a nice restaurant albeit unpretentious and the dishes were as beautifully presented as they were delicious.

Pros: Many vegan options, Tasty

Cons: On the pricey side

Absolutely perfect

Our hotel (Casa Noble Hotel Boutique) recommended this and then we found it on Happy Cow. El Huerto exceeded all expectations. The dining area, whilst warm and friendly, allowed for a nice intimate dinner for two. The English menu and staff's English abilities were a huge help.. And the food!.. OMG. Devine! This is a must for all vegos/vegans visiting Santiago.

Pros: Mostly vegan options, All vegetarian, Superb presentation and taste

Cons: Non that I can think of.

Amor eterno

Very Nice Indeed

We ate here for a late lunch and left very satisfied. We sat outside and there was very little traffic flow so it was very pleasant; it was Saturday. We were given an menu in English which made things simpler.

Pros: Food is tasty, satisfying and very colourful., The server was very positive and helpful., Nice atmosphere on the outdoor patio.

Good vegan food

El Huerto has great quality food, but overall the food and the restaurant itself are a little generic. It's somewhat upscale but also the kind of place you could comfortably go to alone. It has good food, but there's nothing fun, creative, or quirky about El Huerto. The best meal I had there was the vegan lasagne. It was really delicious with perfectly layered and cooked veggies and mushrooms and almond milk ricotta. Amazing dish. The Chicana vegan meal is pretty good as are the fresh salads, which are hearty and big.

Great food

Went there twice and enjoyed it both times. Guacamole is wonderful, Falafel as well, and I loved the Tacos. Can be crowded so you might want to make a reservation for the evening.

A classic good choice in Providencia

Other than the El Naturista chain, this has to be the oldest Veg restaurant in Santiago - since 1980. A variety of dishes from everywhere else in the world - thought we were hoping for some veg versions of comida Chilena. Good place, very nice quiet street and patio. Sorry, it was a few weeks ago, so don't recall what we ordered (other than an excellent Pisco Sour!)

the best

Try the Chicana Vegana, it’s ridiculously good and huge! The soups, lemonades and the set menu are a must go every time. They’ll give you some bread with a delicious dipping sauce for free. The Indian dish and the ceviches are not as good as the other dishes (in my opinion, I eat Indian food five times a week as I’m in Asia atm). The staff is really nice.
The restaurant is really popular so if you’re coming on a weekend I recommend to book in advance.

Cons: a bit pricey, but totally worth it

Good but pricey

The food was good, and there are many vegan options. It's a bit pricey, though, and I'd go elsewhere next time for this reason.

We enjoyed it while we were there, though.

Pros: No meat, Lots of vegan options

Cons: Pricey

Great Vegan Options in a lovely area, worth a visit in Santiago!

We went there on a thursday in January - apparently during their busiest time (around 2:30 pm) had to put our name on the waiting list, yet we only waited 5 minutes until we got a beautiful place to sit outside. Ordered the daily menu (always changing) which was good but not great and not a lot and the Chicana Vegana (heavenly if you love mexican food!). The Pineapple-Basil-Lemonade and the Lemon-Mint-Lemonade were tasty and refreshing. For dessert, we had a lemon pie which was good and a fruit salad which was included in the menu. This was my second time here (the first was in October 2018 where I ordered a California Vegana Salad and a Coconut-Chocolate-Bar with Mango Sorbet. Everything was tasty.) I would come back again, even though not all the dishes on the menu are vegan. Go there for a casual lunch or fancier dinner :)

Pros: lovely area, nice atmosphere, outdoor seating, tasty food, Items in the menu are labeled Vegan & Gluten-free

Cons: not an all-vegan restaurant
