When I went here for lunch there were lots of free tables. I didn't see any tables outside so I think it's inside-seating only.
Read moreThe only option was the menu of the day for 25.000 COP which included a drink, a soup, a main dish (rice, chickpeas, salad etc) and a chocolate pudding dessert. I think it was a good deal and that everything tasted well. My favorite was the soup - it was very good.
I wouldn't mind going back here. :)

Read moreThe soup was tasty enough, the main had some very tasty elements and the dessert tasted amazingly spiced - like Christmas in a bowl.
Food was as filling but not too heavy and service was friendly.
We also purchased some bars/flapjacks - would recommend these!

As of October 2022 the meal of the day is 18.000 pesos. It's located only a few blocks from the Suramericana Metro station, and it's in a nice neighborhood. It's on the ground floor of an office building, and you'll recognize it by the green color scheme.
Read moreToday's meal was a bowl of cream-of-carrot soup, followed by the main plate with several different items on it. I was given a choice of soy milk or pineapple juice for the drink. Then after the meal they brought me some tea and a small peach dessert. The meal seemed well-balanced with both carbs and protein. The food was good and I would go back again. Note that the plates are small and I didn't find the amount of food to be very filling.

Yummy vegan food! Very fresh and healthy. They have a fixed menu which will not disappoint. The owner's husband lived in the US for years, speaks excellent English, and is very friendly and entertaining.

Great vegan restaurant in SurAmericana neighborhood - Edit
Set menu each day for 15,000 pesos. Juice, soup, main dish, side vegetable dish, plus other sides and compote dessert. Herbal tea to finish great meal. Ate there 3 times in a week, each time the food was excellent. The owners are very friendly. Business has been around since 1982 - that is a long time in the restaurant industry. Usually not very busy, so service was quick. Just wish they were open later in the day (they close at 4PM).

We went there for lunch and had the menu of the day. We had a nice creamy soup as a starter - Then an incredible main dish with two different salads, a carrot mash and tempura brokkoli. A typical Colombian dessert was included, aswell as a juice and an aromatica. It tasted very good and was very cheap ( 13 or 15.000 Pesos). Would definitly recommend!!

We had the meal of the day and it was very tasty. The menu comes with a drink and a dessert. The place is a family run business, the waiter was the husband and the chef was the wife. Some English was spoken. The meals were nice and the portions were fair, very affordable.

You will get a daily menu, where you can choose between three drinks. The food is tasty and seems traditional. The staff is friendly and at lunch time the place is busy with workers from the neighborhood. They also have a small shop, but be aware that those products may contain honey or milk. Which is why I'm a bit doubtful, if they really know what vegan is. Price is proudly compared to other daily menu restaurants (double of it)

As far as I could tell, the only thing on offer here was their meal of the day. In November 2017, the cost was 14,000 pesos and included a soup, a main dish, dessert, choice of juice or oat milk and an herbal tea at the end or coffee for 1,000 pesos more. The food although it doesn’t look terribly exciting is very thoughtfully prepared with exciting flavors that you don’t get too often in Colombia. In our meal their was the taste of fennel and in the salad basil. Very lovely meal that leaves you feeling satisfied but nice and light at the same time. I wish there were more restaurants like this. I can’t wait to go back. The owner was really nice and spoke some English. He even asked if we’d had our fill! Perhaps he would have given us seconds if we’d said no?

El menu del dia es muy completo, el de hoy tenia mas de veinte ingredientes y el plato principal era una locura de colores. Pena no haber sacado foto. El restaurante lleva en marcha en el mismo lugar desde 1982, una leyenda viva de sudamerica. El matrimonio que lo regenta son muy simpaticos y se puede hablar con ellos mientras uno come. Muy recomendable. El menu del dia cuesta 14000COP y no incluye el cafe (que seguro te ofrecen, sin decir que hay que pagar 1500COP)

Sergio and Luz have a great sense for people - either leaving you alone or engaging fully when you want to ask questions or chat. Sergio is fluent in English, in case it matters.
They also stock items like nut butters, locally-made snacks, and organic soaps. After only a week being in Medellín, I have eaten at El Arbol de La Vida three times! It is fantastic to be able to be surprised by the innovative creations from the kitchen; every item has been tasty, nourishing, and unique. And all this for an incredible price.

El dueño es muy amable y suele estar en el lugar, la comida (a pesar de que utilizan poca sal) tiene mucho sabor y se puede tomar el tiempo de dusfrutarla. El lugar suele ser silencioso. Como detalle especial sirven té (o café ) al final de las comidas para quien lo desee, amistoso con el estómago.
