We love Eden Vegan!

Eden is an all vegan joint in downtown Scranton. There is a location in Wilkes-Barre too. The staff is super nice and helpful and the food is delicious.

A few of our favorites are the buffalo drumsticks, spicy peanut rice and veggies dish with added steak, the ABC panini, the wild wild west burger, the Margie pizza, the salmon wrap, and the best of both worlds hoagie, which is a chicken and steak cheese steak!

They always have awesome desserts too. The food is made-to-order, so sometimes it can take a while, but it's worth it.

Pros: ALL vegan, Large menu, Delicious food

Cons: Can take a while , Small interior - lots of people inside (pre-covid)

When in Scranton...

...you absolutely must eat here! The food was amazing. My daughter and I were in town for the day and ate lunch and dinner here. Even though we had to take the food to go, due to covid rules, it tasted great at the park and in our hotel room. If I’m in Scranton again, I will definitely be back.

Pros: Lots of menu options, Great prices, Desserts

Very nice folks

They understand and are very helpful. I am on the Esselstyn diet, no oil, no nuts, no avocados, no olives. They came up with interesting options and my salad and black bean rice tasted great.

Pros: All vegan, staff very helpful and accommodating.

OG Scranton Vegan

Have been eating at Eden for a long time and happy to hear they just opened their second location in Wilkes-Barre. Much deserved. They have many great vegan options for all tastes and styles. I recommend the fish sandwich, buffalo wings, and my favorite, the Coleslaw.

Pros: All vegan , Huge menu, Vegan Treats for dessert

Major props

Kudos for being the legitimately ONLY all VEGAN restaurant in Scranton! Not the most complex foods here, but tasty nonetheless. The atmosphere is very welcoming and I love the stickers! We really enjoyed the drumsticks and the Beyond Burger!!!!

Pros: Totally vegan!!!!

Such a great find

I was driving back home from Virginia and I stopped off here not knowing what to expect. The staff made me feel like we were old friends, the style was amazing, and the smashed potatoes gave me life. So much love for this place.

Vegan comfort food. Wish there were more whole food plant based healthy choices.

Tasty food. Friendly staff. I just wish they focused more on plant-based whole food and less on processed food/soy. But they have some gf options. Nice occasional treat.

Pros: GF options, Friendly staff, Food tastes good

Cons: Highly processed/ needs more whole foods , Too much soy , GF bread for sandwiches very small

Great Place

Eden has great comfort food with minimal healthy options available. Their Stromboli is to die for, but it’s only up temporarily when they have it. Everything here is vegan friendly and the items I’ve had were tasty.

Pros: All Vegan

Cons: Expensive

I found my people!

So many delicious options. We had the Reuben, meatball sub, thanksgiving wrap, and kids chicken. I would not recommend getting it to go because the food is juicy and sloppy ( i love it that way). The PB mousse brownie was the best dessert I’ve ever eaten. So thankful for happy cow !

Pros: Dessert, Healthy dishes or diner food

Cons: Street parking

great place to take non veggies

Brought my parents, aunt, and grandmother here, none of whom are veg. They all loved it! Extensive menu with comfort foods and quality vegan meats that dont taste fake. They send out a weekly email with updates if you write down your email. They were out of the beyond burger when we went but so was everyone else in the country. Will definitely be back when I visit my parents!

Pros: all vegan, lots of options

Cons: not the best part of town, parking

AMAZING

What a gem!!! I loved finally visiting this awesome eatery (I’d been following them on insta for months and was finally able to make the trip). I had THE BEST plate of chicken and waffles, which took me back to my childhood. My partner had a burger and loved it so much, he ordered a second one to eat in the same sitting. I’m from NEPA, and definitely plan on eating here as much as I possibly can!!! Everyone should eat here when they’re in the area, even non-vegans (because the food is just that good, and the owner is lovely).

Pros: HUGE menu, Awesome comfort food, Convincing animal product replacements

cute and cozy cafe!

It's so nice to be able to choose anything off a menu that's fully vegan! Eden was comfy and friendly and the food was equally comforting. We tried the personal pizza with veggies and a sandwich. Look forward to returning on my next trip to Scranton!

Pros: coolest bathroom around!

Recommend stopping here

This is first time here and I really enjoyed it. I got chicken club and my gf got meatball sub both good and the price was very reasonable. The menu is huge and there are daily specials as well. If I lived closer I would come here frequently.

Pros: Huge menu, Good prices, Indoor outdoor seating

Heaven on earth

This is simply my favorite place to eat. I live an hour away but make the drive as much as possible and bring home 3 days worth of meals. They now offer Vegan Treats desserts too. There hasn't been 1 menu item I've tried that I didn't love & the smoothies are amazing. The owner & staff are awesome & as a music junkie there is a cool record shop right next door. Also they are always creating new specials I can't rave enough about Eden :)

best vegan variety

As soon as we walked in, you could smell the food! That's how you know the food will be good! I have been looking around for a place that served vegan food other than Chinese/Asian style cooking. The food had great flavor, the "best of both worlds " had such a great cheesey flavor along with the sweet peppers that it was hard to not eat it all. I also ordered the coleslaw and bbq/buffalo wings which were delicious!
The cook was really kind as well was the cashier :)

Comfort food!

I love Eden. Such comfort in this food it’s unreal! The quality of the “fake” meats is so good and everything has such flavor! My ultimate favorite are the drumsticks. Thank you Eden for being the only vegan warm comfort food in the Scranton/Wilkes Barre area. Please open one in Wilkes Barre! I’ll help!!

Great Food, but be ready to wait for it.

Wonderful vegan cafe in scranton. Great portion sizes and fresh fresh food. A LOT of options, so difficult to get bored of a menu like this. And everything's vegan!

Had the black bean and avocado wrap with a side of mixed veggies. Huge wrap, gorgeously prepared and presented, and well priced. Highly recommend!

A one-man show here in the kitchen makes for longer wait times, but it's absolutely worth it! Looking forward to returning in the future hopefully!

Pros: Delicious Menu, Great options

Cons: Long waits for food

cozy cafe

The atmosphere was cozy, the food was good, and I loved that they had a good sized kids menu with typical "kid" foods, it definitely made eating with a five year old much easier!
