phenomenal! raw food at its finest - Edit
This place. I mean, THIS place! I don’t know where to start and how to start. When planning our trip to Rome, this was a must visit place for us. I didn’t know what to expect but I most definitely dis not expect this. Ecru is a raw food experience on highest levels. There is a lot of knowledge, ideas and passion behind the dishes. The portions are real meaning, not a tiny piece of food on a big fancy plate, just to try it but actual real portions. Everything we had was “Im licking my fingers and then the plate” delicious. We are going back tomorrow, on our last day in Rome and I would visit Rome again just to have this amazing food again.

Great raw food! - Edit
The food was fantastic and the staff was friendly! The appetizer with cheese and crackers was so great with a wonderful assortment of different vegan cheeses to try with great homemade crackers, all raw. A little picky but definitely worth the value when it comes to exquisite raw vegan & all organic food that they make behind the counter for you to witness the process 👍🏻

Worth the walk !!! - Edit
Amazing sublime vegan food, we where amazed by the variety of the menu and we have made it our breakfast lunch and dinner venue. The salads are simply gorgeous - rocket salad, caramelised walnuts, red onions, hemp seeds and the most subtle balsamic vinegar make this salad perfect in its simplicity yet with complex flavours coming alive in your mouth on every bite, this is from another world... The avocado tartar with Sicilian papaya thyme and papaya pepper is just incredible - The vegan burger with home made raw mustard fermented cabbage cream and salad is awesome.

Excellent food and wine - Edit
I went there with a non-vegan friend and I was a bit concerned that the concept could be a bit too "extreme" for non-vegans. In the end we both loved the food and wine.

Well-decorated raw food restaurant - Edit
I experienced number 14 raw burger. Half piece was good but too much another one for one person. The restaurant is very small, has good atmosphere but the staff was so colorless, not friendly.

I could eat here for every meal - Edit
We were only in Rome for a couple days. Ecru was the closest vegan restaurant to our B&B, and my were we lucky. We tried it for lunch and it was so good that we popped back in late that night for dessert. We met a couple at the table next to us and had the loveliest conversations. Like minds sharing like foods.

This is some of the best vegan food I’ve ever had. The menu is extensive and so so delicious! Staff are polite and the setting is modern on trend. So so good. Portions are good (I’m a small female though, but tapas options too). Don’t miss it if you’re in Rome 🙌🏻❤️✨

beautiful restaurant, friendly staff... flavor needs work - Edit
We enjoyed our lunch here. As many know, vegan options are scarce in Rome. We had the daikon noodles with shiitake cream sauce and the sushi course. I wouldn’t recommend the daikon noodles. They don’t really go well with the sauce, in my opinion. The sushi wasn’t bad and I really liked the wakame salad but I’m not sure if I’d recommend this place to non-vegan friends. If I could, I’d give it 3.5 stars. It was an average experience but the atmosphere was really nice.

By far one of the best raw vegan places I’ve visited - Edit
I’m so happy that I found this place during my short stay in Rome. The interior is well taught and balanced, the music is carefully chosen, and both together give you the best support for experiencing the superb food. I also loved the front cocking of this restaurant, where I could see with how much dedication one of the owners (Veronica) prepared my plates which were perfectly decorated and very tasty. The staff is also very friendly and ready to give you all the information about their healthy organic food.

Angry Staff? - Edit
Waitress was kinda mean and distant. Was very open to trying a raw vegan restaurant but was very disappointed in the food. My smoothie was predominantly partially chopped celery, and the veggies used in the pasta dish was unwashed, with a very strong “earthy” taste. Could not finish my meal.

The best raw food eatery I have ever had the pleasure of eating at. My partner and I shared a trio of dips and a raw sandwich each, if eating raw isn't your thing, you will be gladly converted after dining here. I felt full yet re-energised after a long day of sightseeing after eating at Ecru. Amazing!
