Unreal - Edit
The chick'n shawerma is unreal. Very good. The rice was a bit dry, could use extra tahini and hot sauce but over all it hits the spot
Read moreThe date cookie option is awesome for those who want to avoid chips
Will definitely go back
Pros: Great plant based shawerma

Delicious vegan Egyptian food - Edit
I had the Uncle Nibo’s sandwich ordered as-is. While it was a delicious, I found it a bit heavy for my taste, as it consisted of their fried items all in a pita together (falafel, fries, fried eggplant, fried cauliflower) with a tasty tahini sauce. Each component had a nice taste and texture. Next time, I would either order a pita or bowl that comes with some veg/pickled veg, or see if I could add some to the same order. I also tried the iced hibiscus drink on offer that day and it was tart and refreshing. The place was beautifully decorated and smelled so good.

Unique flavors with a dash of excellence - Edit
The stuffed falafel was amazing, can't understand how they make them baseball sized and still crunchy. The shawarma was perfection and perfectly balanced. Definitely worth a stop even if you are full.

Authentic Egyptian Street Food - Edit
Nestled in the heart of Kensington Market, Eat Nabati - Plant-based Egyptian Street Food is a sanctuary for authentic and satisfying bites.
Read moreThe charming decor inside and a handful of tables outside create a delightful and calming atmosphere, perfectly complementing the culinary experience. The service echoes friendliness, patience, and genuine helpfulness, exemplified by a staff member's thoughtful act of swatting away pesky bees during my outdoor meal and ensuring my food remained impeccable inside—a gesture that left a lasting and appreciative impact.
Egyptian Falafel: Fava Bean Falafel in a Pita
Indulge in crunchy, flavorful falafel nestled in a pita, adorned with beet tahini, hummus, lettuce, tomato, onions, and pickled vegetables. The addition of beet tahini provides a unique and delicious twist, making each bite radiate with flavor and freshness.
Beef Baba Shawarma:
A bowl of authenticity featuring rice, hummus, lettuce, tomato, onions, and pickled vegetables. While not stealing the spotlight like the falafel, it boasts well-cooked rice and an overall commendable balance of flavors and textures. A side of pita would have elevated the experience.
I couldn't resist the allure of Eat Nabati and visited twice during my short Toronto stay. If I were a local, I'd embark on a mission to savor the entire menu. Eat Nabati stands as a gem in Kensington Market—a place deserving of revisits. The pricing is reasonable, and its convenient location adds to the overall appeal.

lovely experience - Edit
my mother and i went out here for lunch and really enjoyed it. thought it was gray and raining outside, it was light and comfortable in the restaurant, the music and decor was all very well chosen to form a great atmosphere. the food itself was so good, the spices in everything were comforting, and all the things we tried brought a new wonderful element to the meal. such good things to say about this place, please do visit if you have the means.

Yummy kofta - Edit
I got the Cairo Kofta with pita, and the kofta was very delicious. The mint lemonade was great, too. Lahmajan dough was slightly sweet, I had never had sweet lahmajun before. The service here is very friendly but could be a bit more attentive. A self-serve water station, or being brought water when you dine in would be nice. The price for dinner was super reasonable, though! The inside of the restaurant is decorated nicely with lovely art, and there are a lot of board games available for you to play, too. I'm definitely going to come back here!

Falafels tho! - Edit
Salty falafels and moldy desserts. They replaced our desserts which was great service to us which made our experience a great one. Regardless of the salty falafels; the falafels were out of this world, creative, delicious and affordable foods.

It’s nice to find a vegan restaurant in this location. Unique food choices, tasty, but found falafel a bit dry and the shrooms a bit bland. Overall ok food. Nice atmosphere, friendly service.
