Best Vegan food in Verona - Edit
Excellent Bio Vegan Bistrot, near to the historic center of Verona, where you can taste delicious dishes, from the first courses to the desserts. On the menu there is always a burger, obviously vegan.
Read moreAlso open for breakfast, with a good selection of croissants, fruit and vegetable excratcs and delicious desserts prepared by Monica. The confectionery requires a special mention: cheese cake, muffin and cup cake are truly amazing.

Vegan food made with love - Edit
My best vegan restaurant in Verona! The food is organic, delicious and "home made". Monica and Matteo, the owners, are really kind and authentic ethical vegans: they transfer their love for animals and enviroment in the preparation of food.
Read moreDulcamara is a perfect choise for breakfast as well as for lunch and offers many tasty options.
A special mention for sweeties: healthy and lovely.

Looked nice, but lunch menu was sold out at 10:30 - Edit
We dropped by, hoping for some brunch around 10:30 on a Thursday, but despite not many people, the owner told us that she made a certain number of lunch portions in the morning, and was already sold out :(

Every return is a homecoming. - Edit
Every time I pass from Verona a stop at Dulcamara is a must!
Read moreEvery return is a homecoming. The welcoming, clean, bright location and the smile of Monica and Matteo, are a magnet that make you find yourself sitting at the table again, almost without realizing it. Simple, fresh, tasty vegan preparations that leave you feeling like you've eaten something that is good for your body and soul. Monica and Matteo are ethical vegans, their local is not only a distributor of meals, they expose a lot of information on the activities that can be done for animal rights. This approach is transferred to the preparation of food, all prepared "at home" with love.
Recommended for all those who want to live a different and non-standard experience.
Pros: Nice vibe, Friendly staff, Excellent food

Fantastic experience! - Edit
Entering the restaurant you can breathe an atmosphere from Greenwich Village and feel myself in New York, a city that I love, it puts you in a good mood. The furniture is not standardized but the tables, one different from the other, as well as the chairs, give that touch of originality underlining careful attention to detail. The preparations, tasty, creative and well cared for in the presentation are a real treat. The background music is a pleasant accompaniment during the stay in the restaurant. The desserts are delicate, not cloying, not fat nor sugary nor creamy. The owners, Monica and Matteo, are very kind and, very important for me, they are ethical vegans. One last comment: the bathroom is very clean. A stop at the Dulcamara is a caress for the mind and the body.

Amazing Croissants, Friendly Staff - Edit
I ordered two croissants to go early in the morning. They were so delicious (better than some vegan croissants I've had in Paris!) and the staff was super friendly and spoke to me in English.

Would thoroughly recommend - Edit
Food was very tasty and the member of staff who served us was lovely. My non-vegan husband also enjoyed the lentil & chickpea burger. His bergomot beer went down well too. Good selection of cakes as well. Very nice atmosphere and it was great to find somewhere I didn't need to worry about non vegan products in the food. For my smoothie I was given a choice of soya milk or almond milk.

"Bravo!" Good breakfast in a well cared for cafe - Edit
Having read so many glowing reviews of Dulcamara Bio Vegan Bistrot, I'd saved the place and hoped to have our first breakfast in Verona here. Unfortunately they were closed due to it being Easter Monday (which was clearly posted in their window), so my boyfriend and I ate elsewhere. I'd planned a surprise trip to Venice and this place was in the perfect location to reveal my surprise, so we headed here in the late morning before our train.
Read moreWe were warmly welcomed with a smile as we entered and were given the English menu. They only had one to share between the two of us which they were extremely apologetic about, but that didn't matter at all. It was nice to have been told.
The atmosphere, although we were the only two people there when we arrived was warm and homely, and you could clearly see that they take a lot of pride in the place. It's bright, airy, and very clean. The bathrooms were immaculate, something too often missed by cafes and restaurants.
We ordered the pistachio topped cheesecake, the chocolate cream filled croissant, a cappuccino and a soy hot chocolate to eat in. Everything was delicious, the base of the cheesecake was perfect and my croissant was just as flaky as you'd expect.
The croissants were so good that we ordered two more to go (and got the jam filled ones that were just as tasty). We ordered a chickpea breakfast burger in a sesame bun filled with vegan mayo, red onions and an abundance of green leaves. We ate this on the train with a glass of wine each, and wished we'd ordered two to go it was so good. The burger came with a side order of diced roasted potatoes and red onions which left us both satisfied.
Although our bill came to €25 we feel like it was well spent (1 x wedge of cheesecake, 3 x croissants, 2 x hot drinks, a vegan breakfast burger with a huge side dish). We both felt like it was well worth the wait and will certainly go there again when we return to Verona.

Huge, Tasty Sandwiches - Edit
This place is a little out of the centre, closer to the train station, so it can be convenient if you're travelling. We went at lunchtime and I had the kebabra, which was so good and supremely filling. My partner had the delicato (breaded tofu sandwich), which was really nice too. The cupcakes looked delicious, but we were just too full from the gigantic sandwiches! We got two apricot croissants to takeaway for breakfast the next day, and they were really good.
