Found this oasis through HappyCow - Edit
We have been wanting to stay here for so long; we did not let being over 500 miles away dissuade us. We would have come based on the neighborhood and design -- the vegan/compassionate element was a wonderful bonus.
Read moreWe started our day with buttered biscuits, fresh fruit, amazing coffee, and loose tea, and then had more from the posted menu of 3 choices, of which the pumpkin-spiced grits was a favorite, and we were more than full with all this.
We were in the Romantic suite on the first floor which had the most amazing massive bathroom ever, seemingly made out of a sun porch, with a rain shower streaming from the ceiling which made my husband gasp in delight. All rooms have essential oil diffusers, and the hotel has designed a scent for each room! We had to take some of these affordable blends home. The gardens around the house are lush and fragrant, and the historic location has such beautiful architecture to soak up, easy parking too. What an incredible hotel and town. All staff are super kind and give you plenty of privacy and space, checking up on you by text every day.

Cute and cozy dream! - Edit
Wow. I couldn’t be more pleased with our stay! We stayed in the room “romantic” and it was nothing short of adorable, spacious and welcoming! From the outside, you immediately think “I wish I lived here!”
Read moreThe owners of the B&B are kind and friendly.. sort of like old friends letting you stay at their house. Very accommodating and easy to talk to yet give you complete privacy as you need.
The place is very well kept with a calming ambiance that I desperately needed coming from LA. I will definitely be staying in the future and recommending to friends.
Ps. I loved the complimentary breakfast in their parlor plus everything was a great price!
Pros: Cute and cozy place!, Kind and accommodating owners, Very safe for Covid standards

Artful and inspired - Edit
Went on a trip with mom just before pandemic and we both enjoyed this inn. It’s a refreshing blend of trend and history and well blended design. I stayed in the dreamer room on the third floor with rooftop views and dangerously saturated beautiful colors. Breakfast was just right and access to diffuser and soaking tub was amazing.

A progressive and grounded vegan inn - Edit
When I pulled into Wilmington, it was clear I had to stay over. Street after street after street of detailed old homes - some surrounded by well kempt gardens, others more lived in.
Read moreI was in luck! One turned out to be this place: an inn, for those who appreciate Victorian architecture, yet are living in the moment, not trying to recreate the past. Many design dreams come true.
The "Romanic" was vast suite, furnished to perfection. Showering next to plants with organic products in an open light-flooded space felt like an upgrade to my home I one day aspire to.
A vegan could do much worse than stopping here. The guide offers tips for the neighborhood restaurant scene. Come morning, breakfast is absolutely on point. With several options, all-vegan, of food and of dining locations you can tailor things just to your liking. And delicious, it is!
Pros: Lush plants in & out, a gecko pranced by the porch, Deeply thoughtful design
Cons: Historic house - not always silent, but peaceful
