amazing pizza and cheeses! - Edit
I brought an omnivorous friend here for dinner and we split a white pizza. The quality of the house made cheese was unbelievable!! Pricy, but definitely worth it.

Vegan pizza! Yes! - Edit
This is a very cute restaurant, pronounced Double Zero, with a few tables for outdoor seating. They have many different vegan pizzas. In general I don't care too much for vegan cheese, but here it is pretty good.
Read moreThey have other vegan selections also, but I have only been for the pizza so far.
Pros: All plant based, Pizza crust is very good, Good service

Vegan Pizza! - Edit
This is the place to go for vegan cheese & other "faux" toppings on an excellent white flour pizza crust. In our group of 5 , we tried fennel -farro " sausage" ( great!) , tomato confit, eggplant, arrabiatta & also zucchini lasagna .
Read moreThe individual pizzas are a decent size, salads are generous , there's IPA beer & wine available , and the servers are thoughtful & friendly, non-intrusive . They even brought over an extra serving.that had been prepared by mistake. We gladly accepted the offer!
It's a bit pricy, but actually reflect typical downtown NYC prices.
The atmosphere is relaxing, with adequate space and low noise levels.
Pros: Vegan, Fresh , Good service
Cons: East Village prices

Delicious vegan pizza in a posh atmosphere - Edit
One of the greatest atmospheres of vegan restaurants in New York, staff really friendlyand insightful. We ordered two pizzas: the classic margherita and the white pizza. The latter was better, as the macadamia ricotta was truly well prepared. The cheesecake was just okay, that's why I'm not giving it 5 stars. A bit pricy but well worth the visit when in NYC.

Elegant Hip Sliver Pizza & Wine Bar - Edit
Awesome!!!!! It is in the East Village and ironic --blocks of grimy non vegan eatery and than upscale gem -- not for someone in a tight financial budget. I am having a late lunch so it's pizza only --- MIND Blowing - cooked in front of you behind bar -- a wood burning oven and the spicy vegan pizza I chose came with a creamy but not too creamy cheese -- shockingly good -- high caliber, excellent down to earth service.

Amazing Vegan Pizza - Edit
This was our first visit to 00 + Co. and we couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised! Great atmosphere, friendly helpful staff and of course great food. We had the arugula salad to start followed by the Classic mozzarella pizza and finished off with the blueberry cheesecake!! Great place. We'll be back.

Terrific for Outdoor Dining in the EV - Edit
I've eaten here twice now, and expect to go more often now that warmer months are coming and there is outdoor seating. The cheese plate is a must-order starter. I've tried about 3 of the pizzas so far, and all are great. The farro-fennel sausage pizza has tremendous flavor and texture, and I would highly recommend it as a first experience.

Great idea, but needs more taste & atmosphere - Edit
I feel the restaurant is trying to give off a pretentious vibe, and not just through the physical space. Upon arriving at 3PM on a Saturday, my husband and I walked into a near empty restaurant... which we were expecting since this isn't a brunch spot and 3PM isn't really lunch or dinner. Anyways, we walk-in and although only two other couples were in the restaurant, the waiters still asked of if we had a reservation. Although we didn't, they allowed us to pick one of two specific tables that I guess were not "reserved". The waiters did the same thing to the other two couples that came in within the hour while we were dining, even though the restaurant was near empty the entire time...
Read moreThe space is very shiny, but a bit uncomfortable - I think they're trying a bit too hard to be trendy or seem exclusive. The service was fine, not over the top, but nothing to complain about. The pizza was good... I love that they make their own cheese, but I do wish the toppings had a bit more kick to them... my caramelized eggplant pizza needed a little extra something flavor wise.
All in all, it's a nice place that probably has a few kinks to work out like any new establishment. I also hope they become a bit more down to earth.
Pros: Vegan pizza
Cons: Uncomfortable seats/tables, Expensive

Inventive Pizza, Upscale Atmosphere! - Edit
I'm very happy to see more upscale vegan options popping up around NYC. I think 00 would be a great place to bring non vegans as the menu is simple and includes ingredients that everyone can appreciate. All of the pizzas are personal size and the appetizers are also very small. You can tell you are getting quality ingredients but 00 does seem like more of an on special occasion place to me because of those factors. They have a large wine selection and also serve select beers.
Read moreOne of the big downsides for me is the community seating. I'm just not big on it in general. The do have single tables in the patio area if it's warm enough to eat outdoors.
Overall, I really liked the food at 00 but i don't know that I would make it a regular stop. The service was great but the prices were steep.

Good/meh, not compelled to return - Edit
Good flavor and exciting menu, but I care not for the science lab type design of the restaurant: High long tables with metal stools (my back was sore by the end of the meal), pizzas served in rectangular metal trays, petri dish of black pepper (the server, while friendly overall, seemed to sneer at my request for black pepper, explaining that they already provided red pepper flakes), odd beaker-shaped wine glasses…. Noisy place, even at half full, especially if you're sharing the room with people who do not use indoor voices.
Read moreMy friend and I shared the delicious radish appetizer with seaweed tapenade and two pizzas (farro sausage and mushroom harissa), but found ourselves still hungry (which is crazy for me since I typically can't finish a plate of food in most restaurants) so we ended up ordering a third pizza (potato caper) with dessert. They were out of the tiramisu we were hoping to try, so we got the cheesecake for $10 that did nothing to satisfy my desire for an actual dessert since it lacked sweetness and flavor and was a tiny little baby size circle.
While the pizzas had a nice flavor and unique ingredients, they oddly seemed to not retain any heat from the oven and were cold within a few minutes. Not sure how to explain this...the 00 flour? the metal trays?
I am glad I tried this place and am glad it exists, but I feel no compulsion to rush back.

Phenomenal Artisanal Pizzas - Edit
00+Co only opened a few days ago, but already got many raving reviews. So we were really looking forward to give it a try. The restaurant is already very popular and was fully booked during the weekend. I sent an email to ask if they could try to accommodate us as we were visiting NYC only that weekend. The manager came back to me right away to inform me that he will let us know about any cancellation. And, to my surprise, he did! He called me on Saturday morning to let us know that he had a table for us the same night. The place was indeed full when we arrived, even their lovely outdoor patio (in February!). We were first very pleased by the vibrant ambiance and urban chic decor. My husband's is a pizza fan and we were accompanied by a professional chef, so we placed the bar pretty high! The service was excellent, despite the crowd. We didn't mind the communal tables seating: it was fun and still comfortable. Our waiter was super nice and knowledgeable. The menu is pretty concise: pizza /not pizza it reads, with good description of each item. Vegan pizza do not have good press: they are usually loaded with highly processed mock meats and cheese. 00+Co takes the whole vegan pizza experience to another level. Be ready to try the best pizza you ever had (even my pizza- specialist husband did agree!). Everything here is artisanally crafted with hight quality ingredients. They make their own nut based cheeses (that melt on the pizza!), their sausage and the pizza crusts are just pure perfection! The result is amazing! We shared every dish and we wished we could have tried everything! We had the farro-fennel sausage cashew mozzarella and the almond cream/ shiitake anchovies/potato pizzas. Both were phenomenal, with a special mention to the second one, for 'out-of-this-world' taste and creativity! We also tried the exquisite radishes plate and the 'caesar' salad. All of us were delighted by the whole experience at 00+Co. We can't wait to be back!

New All-Vegan Pizza in East Village - Good Start - Edit
00 & Co - named after the type of flour used to make their crusts - features about ten different pizza pies, also serving small plates, cheese plates, and chef's special deserts (i.e. deserts are not fixed but change frequently). We went a few days after the opening in February 2016. We ordered five different pies and shared, all deemed pretty good, although some of our party thought the smoked oyster pizza was a little heavy on the cumin, and the eggplant and the potato pies were deemed a bit better than the others. No daiya here, all the cheese is vegan house made. The mozzarella was a little heavy on the lemon juice, and none of the cheeses replicated the stringiness of daiya, but all were tasty, more like a ricotta style cheese. Had the cheesecake and the semolina cake for desert - the semolina cake served with grapefruit wedges was ruled the winner, both were good.
Read moreDisappointed tha the server did not know which if any of the wines were vegan - maybe staff will work that out over time. Sitting was a bit tight, mostly on stools, and our party of five was seated at a large table shared with another party of two.
Prices are a little high, with the least expensive pizza costing $15, but that's NYC these days. Portions are good but not huge.
Overall, a good experience, I would go back to try again as they are obviously still working out their system (I think the night we went was their third night post grand opening, so cut them some slack!)
Pros: Large selection of innovative pizzas, Good deserts, All vegan kitchen
Cons: Which wines are vegan?, A little pricey
