Really great place - don’t walk run!
Read moreThe milkshakes are the best thing ever, best vegan milkshake I’ve tasted with so many flavour options.
The choices are really great with something for everyone - including if you don’t like fake meat options.
My highlights are the Mac n cheese and the strawberry milkshake.
We both got the Cruelty free combo and a side of topped Mac n cheese, it was so much food it defeated us and we had to take some home.
Pros: Excellent service , Brilliant menu choices , Really nice vibe

So good we treated ourselves to two meals in one weekend trip to Plymouth. Everything you’d expect from an American diner but with an entirely plant menu. Everything was delicious but the fried “egg” and deep-fried Oreos were my favourites.

Brilliant food, brilliant service and brilliant prices. We stopped here on our way to Cornwall and enjoyed our meal here so much we stopped in again on the way back! The brisket topped chips were especially delicious and the Sunday brunch was amazing, especially the burrito! Highly recommend. Lots of gluten free dishes too with good signage.

Delicious food, friendly staff, excellent specials. Dimpsys hit the nail on the head for that American diner experience with their delicious menu. The specials are also not to be missed. You won’t leave here feeling hungry and the pricing is on point.

As you walk in door the 50's music coming out of the jukebox almost transfers you back in time to the era, lovely & welcoming staff, absolutely gorgeous food. Such good value for money. You don't need to be vegan or vegetarian to dine here but you should definitely dine here.

Excellent food service and atmosphere - Edit
Fully vegan diner in Plymouth?! Yes please. It was my first time there with some friends who go regularly - I had the plain beef burger, coffee refills, and deep fill apple pie and ice cream for pudding. All absolutely delicious - particularly enjoyed the onions in the burger - really nicely caramelised. The person serving us was nice and attentive. I particularly enjoyed that the food felt very home cooked despite being burgers. It felt like some care and thought had really gone into a menu that could have easily been like many other vegan “junk food” places. They’ve really nailed the diner feel and menu. Loved the food, atmosphere and location - can’t wait to go back!

Milkshake Rattle and Roll - Edit
In the premises of the former Samphire vegan Brasserie that I visited in 2016 is now an all American-themed diner. This was a one-off treat. If you did this every day you’d probably end up on an inpatient waiting list! We shared a huge American combo breakfast loaded with fried potatoes (too many), scrambled tofu, bacon, sausage and a bun and a portion of pancakes topped with lots of deliciously crispy bacon. Unlimited coffee was an added bonus. Maple syrup is also available and if you like 50s and 60s rockabilly and rock’n’roll music you’re in for a great time.

Lush vegan gluten free pancakes - Edit
I've been to Dimpsey’s twice now and both times it has been amazing. My boyf and I went for pancake day and weren't disappointed. They opened especially for pancake day as they are usually closed on Tuesdays so it was a nice little treat. There were loads of options for crepes or American style pancakes and even a range of gluten free options. My boyf had pecan pie and I had apple pie (minus the pie bits with gluten in) the pancakes were cooked on the same griddle so likely not good for ceoliacs though. Very impressed and we’ll deffo come here again. Thanks!
