Everything about this place is perfect

The food is amazing, the staff are really friendly and the decor is great. Even my dog loves going there.

The menus are constantly being updated and the monthly specials are always something to look forward to, so I never get bored of this place.
I've even seen a carnists say that Dimpsy's food has made them consider veganism 💚

Pros: Amazing food, Lovely staff, Great atmosphere

50's vegan comfort food.

A lovely diner situated in the heart of downtown Plymouth, only steps away from the university.

My shake and burger were excellent. They also had a monthly specials list with some great looking items like meatball loaded Mac.

Pros: Food was excellent, Location is nice and convenient , Staff was friendly

Absolutely Amazing!

Best Vegan restaurant I have been too! I was down in Plymouth for work and came across this gem that kept me fed for the whole duration of my visit.
So much to try, it is a definite must to visit here for those junk food vegans out there like myself.

Very sad my work has now come to a end, but I shall be back to Plymouth just for this place!

Pros: Friendly Staff, A lot of Choice, Good size portions

Fabulous

Really great place - don’t walk run!
The milkshakes are the best thing ever, best vegan milkshake I’ve tasted with so many flavour options.
The choices are really great with something for everyone - including if you don’t like fake meat options.
My highlights are the Mac n cheese and the strawberry milkshake.
We both got the Cruelty free combo and a side of topped Mac n cheese, it was so much food it defeated us and we had to take some home.

Pros: Excellent service , Brilliant menu choices , Really nice vibe

Friendly and with great food

So good we treated ourselves to two meals in one weekend trip to Plymouth. Everything you’d expect from an American diner but with an entirely plant menu. Everything was delicious but the fried “egg” and deep-fried Oreos were my favourites.

Amazing vegan diner

Brilliant food, brilliant service and brilliant prices. We stopped here on our way to Cornwall and enjoyed our meal here so much we stopped in again on the way back! The brisket topped chips were especially delicious and the Sunday brunch was amazing, especially the burrito! Highly recommend. Lots of gluten free dishes too with good signage.

Pros: Huge amount of options, Affordable , Delicious food

A must visit for vegans

Super little American diner in Plymouth
Glad i found it. Family of 7 ate very happily here. Good value for money. Good portion sizes! We loved it. So refreshing to see a whole menu that is vegan rather than the odd dish that is vegan. Gutted there isnt one close to home.

Pros: Array of choice on menu, Kids menu, Price

Cons: Burgers dont come with chips so make sure u order

Tip Top

Delicious food, friendly staff, excellent specials. Dimpsys hit the nail on the head for that American diner experience with their delicious menu. The specials are also not to be missed. You won’t leave here feeling hungry and the pricing is on point.

Lovely atmosphere, American diner, great priced menu.

As you walk in door the 50's music coming out of the jukebox almost transfers you back in time to the era, lovely & welcoming staff, absolutely gorgeous food. Such good value for money. You don't need to be vegan or vegetarian to dine here but you should definitely dine here.

Pros: Lovely atmosphere , Great food & drinks on menu, which changes 😋 , Very clean & great music. What more can you want.

Vegan must

Transfer to 50s America with too much choice. May need to set up camp and work through the menu.
Stunning breakfast and dinner, not on same day 😋 not sure stomach could handle those huge portions. Love this place

Great Portions and Friendly Service

My family had four portions of ‘cheese’ and ‘bacon’ loaded fries which were absolutely delicious! The fries were well priced, nicely presented, and the portions generous - this was refreshing.
The service was friendly too. We will definitely return next time we are in Plymouth!

Pros: Generous portions, Well priced , Friendly service

Cons: Serviettes would have been appreciated.

Very good!

Huge portion sizes i should have asked for child portion definitely could finish the pancakes which I asked with added banana, blueberries icecream and loaded maple syrup.

Even the buffalo loaded tater tots I ordered on the go was a huge portion.

Would recommend and definitely come again.

Internal deco is very American diner style. They have a jute box which I think is cool too but did have to lower the volume.

Pros: 100% Vegan, Huge portions, Lots of options.

Cons: Prefer fresh blueberries over cooked ones.

Excellent food service and atmosphere

Fully vegan diner in Plymouth?! Yes please. It was my first time there with some friends who go regularly - I had the plain beef burger, coffee refills, and deep fill apple pie and ice cream for pudding. All absolutely delicious - particularly enjoyed the onions in the burger - really nicely caramelised. The person serving us was nice and attentive. I particularly enjoyed that the food felt very home cooked despite being burgers. It felt like some care and thought had really gone into a menu that could have easily been like many other vegan “junk food” places. They’ve really nailed the diner feel and menu. Loved the food, atmosphere and location - can’t wait to go back!

Pros: Menu options, Atmosphere , Deep fill apple pie and free coffee refills!

Milkshake Rattle and Roll

In the premises of the former Samphire vegan Brasserie that I visited in 2016 is now an all American-themed diner. This was a one-off treat. If you did this every day you’d probably end up on an inpatient waiting list! We shared a huge American combo breakfast loaded with fried potatoes (too many), scrambled tofu, bacon, sausage and a bun and a portion of pancakes topped with lots of deliciously crispy bacon. Unlimited coffee was an added bonus. Maple syrup is also available and if you like 50s and 60s rockabilly and rock’n’roll music you’re in for a great time.

Lush vegan gluten free pancakes

I've been to Dimpsey’s twice now and both times it has been amazing. My boyf and I went for pancake day and weren't disappointed. They opened especially for pancake day as they are usually closed on Tuesdays so it was a nice little treat. There were loads of options for crepes or American style pancakes and even a range of gluten free options. My boyf had pecan pie and I had apple pie (minus the pie bits with gluten in) the pancakes were cooked on the same griddle so likely not good for ceoliacs though. Very impressed and we’ll deffo come here again. Thanks!

Pros: Gluten free options, Lush taste, Cheap price
