Friendly plant-based cafe - Edit
This is effectively a vegan cafe but it’s just a shame that the rules of this site/app are quite strict. Other than dairy milk available for coffee (why, I don’t know) and I think I saw halloumi but didn’t question if it was dairy-based or not, everything else seems to be plant based.
Read moreAnyway, I had their delicious classic burger but I was tempted by their bbq jackfruit burger too. Lots of tasty things to try but not a massive menu. I hear their desserts are very good. Extremely fun and friendly staff though...quite refreshingly so!
A tad on the expensive side but not crazily so.
Pros: Almost 100% vegan, Very upbeat staff and service , Cute place

Read moreDicki’s at New Farm is a great place to spend a relaxing afternoon eating delicious vegan food. All the food is vegan, but they have milk as a choice for coffee.
Food includes some healthy and hearty choices. The classic burger is great with a crispy patty and melted cheese. Croissant with scrambled tofu egg is a rare vegan find, but could be a bit oily for some. Other good choices are breakfast burrito and nurture bowl.
Dessert is also great. Other than the pastries and cakes on display at the counter, they also serve waffles and smoothies. The apple crumble waffle is the daily special of the day. It’s like a deconstructed apple crumble in the form of a waffle with 2 scoops of ice cream, cinnamon apple and crumble on the side.
Pros: All food is vegan, Delicious comfort food, Friendly staff and laid-back environment
Cons: Serves milk for coffee, Croissant with scrambled tofu egg is a bit oily

Very pleasant first experience. The food was wholesome and packed with flavour. I really enjoyed my nurture bowl; the dressing and the crispy tempeh especially. Got some donut balls for dessert which were sooo fresh, crunchy on the outside and doughy on the inside 😍

Really nice options , all vegan and nice place however the portions are quite small considering the price which was a bit of a shame . Still nice food though! Probably wouldn’t go back only coz of its overpriced compared to other places close by that serve similar stuff at a lower price.

Great food, good atmosphere, friendly staff. Wholesome rich vegan food that's refreshing but also filling. Good portion sizes, but if you want a big meal go for the nurture bowl or the big breakfast special. Particularly love the ELT and iced coffees.... Have just about had everything on the menu and it's all very tasty! Lovely cakes and cookies as well. The carrot cake/loaf with cream cheese is amazing.

Best vegan restaurant in Brisbane! The Nurture bowl is out of this world (and its a good size if you’re hungry!). The tofu scramble was yummy but could maybe be a slightly bigger portion (i had some avocado added and was still a bit hungry after). Corn cakes were ok and the herby sauce was insanely good. Soy matcha latte is the best one I’ve had. ALSO the lemon bliss ball itself is worthy coming to dicki’s for, a-ma-zing.

Great new breakfast spot in New Farm - Edit
We tried Dicki's for the first time this morning, and were very pleased. Friendly service, great coffee, and we loved the food. We actually didn't realise it was a vegan café until we started eating. Food was delicious. AND they even have real pot plants (not like the previous café in there with their plastic pots). Very #happycow, and we'll be back for more.

the bao! Omg amazingly crispy tofu and beautiful authentic flavours in a soft bun. Breakfast burrito was moorish and delicious and the cold brew was spot on. Only thing was the inside smelt of old cooking oil and it was a little uncomfortable. Would advise sitting outside.

I went on the opening weekend and had scrambled tofu to see how the new cafe handled a vego classic. I really enjoyed it - it came with mushrooms which were done beautifully. It was very filling. The orange juice was fresh and delicious. I am so hoping this place thrives as it is in a very prominent location in an affluent area. They have beautiful desserts on display on the front counter including Croissants! which will appeal to customers who have no idea it is all vegan. They could be a huge influence in the community.

Read moreWent there this morning. Obviously a busy day being easter weekend. Ordered the buritto breakie with a side of mushies. It was SO dry, both of them. Even with the salsa and sauce. Ordered a coffee to go and it was so bitter I threw it out :-(
I would've thought to give it another go except that the food on the table beside me looked dry, tiny portions and not great. And I honestly don't mind small portionsif the food is good.
Shame 'cause I love supporting vegan restaurants.
Service was great and really nice vibe. Give it 3 stars for service. 0 for quality of food :-(
