Totally UNBELIEVABLE mac and cheese! - Edit
I’m not an Orlando resident so I’m new to this restaurant but WOW it is absolutely amazing. The mac and cheese is unreal. It is just so good. Got one garlic and one buffalo and it was not vegan tasting at all! I’ve only given up dairy two or so months ago so I remember how it tastes and it is crazy close. As far as entrees go, The Orange Bird and Florida Fried Green Tomato are both so delicious and full of amazing flavor! What a place!!

so freaking good. - Edit
I’m very particular and have pretty high standards for vegan joints - this place blew me away! Biscuits and gravy were on point. I’ve been a vegan baker for 8 years and their deserts are some of the best I’ve had yet. Vegan cheesecake that doesn’t taste like play dough? Sign me the heck up. Keep up the good work guys!

Hoping to go back! SO yummy! - Edit
We are staying at a resort near Universal and were told that the drive to Market on South is well worth it. Yup, it sure is! We didn't have room for anything sweet, so I can't review any desserts. What we had: Carolina BBQ Jackfruit sandwich, Fried Green tomato sandwich, macaroni and "cheese", roasted brussel sprouts, and 2 tiki tacos, one made with jackfruit and the other with cactus.
Read moreI really liked the fried green tomato sandwich, both sides, and the taco made with jackfruit. The other items were good, too. There are certainly more that I'd love to come back and try, but I'm not sure if I'll have a chance before the end of my trip.
The atmosphere was very casual. It was quite chilly (cold, actually!), otherwise we would have loved to sit outside in the back.
Oh, be prepared if you are coming off of I-4 to get there, there's a toll. If you don't have a sun pass, you need exact change, which was 75c. Luckily, I had been hoarding quarters, as that was totally unexpected.
Pros: Delicious vegan food, Casual, Knowledgeable, friendly staff

Kale salad with tempeh bacon was yum. Tiki tacos were good would have like the jack fruit to be warmer. The red velvet cupcake was great! Did not try the death bar yet. We were full and took with us.

Wow - Edit
I ordered from Uber Eats & didn't get what I had ordered however; what I got was amazing. I got the taco with jackfruit (I had not tried jackfruit before) with brussel sprouts & a side order of tempeh. All were very good & I will definitely try again. I will try the Carolina BBQ next time which is what I ordered.

Orlando Fav - Edit
This place has such a good vibe, an amazing section of baked goodies. My fav is the Orange Bird (sloppy joe feel) and cheesy homies. Their salads are really good as well. They serve beer, you can't go wrong with this place. Very close to Downtown Orlando. Easy to get to and plenty of parking. Cute outside area to sit at as well! If you haven't been, you need to go like ASAP.

Top Notch! - Edit
I had almost every dish on the menu. DELICIOUS! I must say that this is a must try Vegan restaurant. Vegan or non-vegan, you must visit. For the non-vegans that are thinking about the switch. Come taste how easy the switch can be. If you're a peanut butter lover, the 'death bar' is a must.

Go! Just go! - Edit
I had the Orange Bird and Hubby had the Pulled BBQ Jackfruit sandwich. We also had the baked Mac-n-cheese and potato salad. I honestly wish we could have tried it all! Fabulous food and we both went away full! We come from a town where there are no vegan restaurants and it was so amazing to walk in and order right off the menu and be treated to something so delicious! The servers are super friendly and helpful as well. Whether you eat meat or not, you will love this restaurant! Just go!

First time! - Edit
I finally got a chance to check out Market on South! My (non-veg) boyfriend and I both had the fried green tomato sandwich with a side of Mac n' Cheese. We both agreed that the sandwich was fantastic but he wasn't crazy about the Mac- I however, loved it. The place has a great atmosphere and happy hour too!! Overall, I really enjoyed it and plan on going back.

When attending ZINCON I met another vegan Zumba Instructor and she was going to Dixie's that night and surprised me the other day by bringing me their macncheese (how adorable is that??? vegan friends don't let their friends starve!)

Dixie Dharma - 'Onolicious - Edit
Dixie Dharma is located inside Market on South which is shared with Valhalla Bakery and Humble Bumble Kombucha. For Dine-in, you order at the counter, find a seat, and the staff will bring your food to you. The staff are kind and they are very helpful on recommending dishes and sides. Casual vibe, outdoor seating available. They offer large salads and hearty sandwiches.
Read moreI had the The Orangebird: (Florida orange BBQ sloppy joe, creamy house slaw, open-faced on a toasted potato bun spread with slow roasted garlic, $11.50) My husband had the Florida Fried Green Tomato - Green tomatoes sliced thick, breaded, n' deep-fried, with smoked eggplant remoulade, garlicky kale & chow-chow on texas toast, $11.50. Both were 'ono!! Our kids had the Moghul Chili Dawgs: (Two not-dogs in pretzel buns, smothered with housemade indian-spiced chili n' cheez sauce, blackened onion, scallions, & za'taar spice, $12). They loved them.
We came back for breakfast and had the Wet Burrito, and my husband has the Biscuits and Gravy. Amazing - we loved everything. (It was suggested by someone to try the Wet Burrito with the cheese sauce and I will definitely try that next time. We topped our meals off with some dessert, I had the Death Bar which lives up to it's name - rich and delish! The Almond Hazelnut Mylks were perfect addition to the desserts.
They also offer cold brew coffee and lots of yummy sweet treats at the counter. We'd go back any day!

Awesome Sides!!! - Edit
This place was great. Vegan restaurant inside of Market on South (vegan haven). I had the TLT which was very fresh and delicious. My husband had the brunch burrito on special. Also very good. The sides stole the show, though!!! Mac & cheese was very good, tasty crispy Brussels sprouts, and the best were the cheesy tots. Lots of GREAT beer options, too!

Overpriced and underseasoned - Edit
I had really high hopes for Dixie Dharma and was excited to go there for dinner today. I had checked out the menu online before my wife and I went there, so I knew there were a few items I was interested in trying.
Read moreI ended up ordering a Tiki Tako with smoked tempeh, and my wife ordered the Carolina BBQ Pulled Jackfruit, the most expensive item on the menu, with a side of garlic baked mac and cheese. We both tried each other's items, and we were both sorely disappointed.
My taco only had 3 small chunks of tempeh on it, and they were completely lost in the purple kraut and pineapple salsa, which were pretty bland. The pineapple salsa didn't taste very pineapple-y. When I could taste the tempeh, it was really good! Unfortunately, it got drowned out. My wife's sandwich barely tasted like barbecue. When I took a bite of it, I was overwhelmed by the taste of the pickle. I also had a bite of the baked mac and cheese, which was probably the best thing we ordered. My wife thought it wasn't garlicky enough, but I thought it had a slight garlic flavor. However, I don't think I'd recommend ordering the mac and cheese on its own because the portion size was rather small.
Ultimately, we both just really felt we hadn't gotten our money's worth, and we expected much better food for what we paid. (A $12.50 BBQ sandwich just shouldn't be bland!)

Great food! - Edit
This was my first time here and I also brought my non-vegan mother.
Read moreThe staff was super friendly and informative. I loved how knowledgeable they were about how all of their menu items are prepared and they offered a ton of great suggestions on what to get.
We ended up ordering a nopales (cactus) taco, TLT (tempeh bacon, lettuce, and tomato) and cheesy homies (cheesy home fries). All were so good!!
I was a little disappointed that they were out of their Mac'n'Cheese for the day (around 6pm) which was the item I was told above everything else to get, but still enjoyed everything we purchased.
The TLT was HUGE, super flavorful and I loved that the tempeh bacon was cut thin vs. other places I've tried where it is super thick and doesn't have much flavor.
The nopales taco was by far my favorite. The jackfruit was prepared and cooked perfectly. The flavor was amazing and I wish we would have gotten two so I didn't have to share!
The cheesy homies were good and also had some hot sauce on them. We both liked them, but agreed they weren't anything too special.
Overall I would recommend trying this place out. They have unique food and most of their items are house made which I loved! It's a shame it's in kind of a hidden location and doesn't have much curb appeal when looking at it from the outside. Everything else on the inside though more than made up for it. :)
Pros: Many menu items are house made, Friendly, knowledgeable staff, Unique menu items
Cons: A bit difficult to find if you're out of town, Outside area by parking lot a bit dirty

simply amazing - Edit
I've been drooling over their menu ever since I knew we'd be going to Orlando. And what can I say? We ended up going there 3-4 times to be able to taste ALL the items on the menu. Even my omnivore brother-in-law loved it. He even made us go there once more before we left. We all totally loved it. This place goes straight into my top 10. The pulled jackfruit and cheezy homies were our favorite, but - as I said - we tasted all the items on the menu and everything was delicious.
