Yummy vegan empanadas with several options

We ordered for delivery, and our empanadas were excellent. I appreciate that they have a variety of vegan options! I especially loved the veggie empanada, but the tofu and soy empanadas were great, too. I'll have to try the seitan one next time. Also, I want to try their vegan cakes!

Bad empanadas

I went to this place expecting to find good vegan empanadas. Because this is an empanada place, you know. Well, don't waste your time. There are three different types of vegan empanadas. They all taste and look the same: bad. And on top of it all, they're quite expensive.

Pros: The place is cozy and in one of the most beautiful, lovely and fun neighbourhoods of Valencia.

Cons: Bad empanadas, the three vegan empanadas taste the same, expensive (especially given the poor quality)

Tasty & Affordable

⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
We tried two empanadas along with a vegan chocolate mousse cake. Everything was great, the star of show was the house hot sauce.

Great empanadas and cakes!

They have four vegan empanadas: seitan, vegetables, curry, and tofu algae. As an Argentine I can say that the seitan one is the best! They also have vegan cakes. The place is small and cozy with some tables, good service and relaxed environment

Pros: Variety, Savory & sweet

disappointed

they no longer mark their vegan items. they only had two available: seitan/mushroom and heura. when i cut the seitan empanada up, i was disappointing to see curried tofu and vegetables instead of seitan and mushrooms. i complained, but the owner (i think) informed me that tofu and seitan is the same thing (it is not) empanadas tasted fine, but overall experience was negative.

Empanadas!

I loved this place. So happy to see they had a big section just for vegans and they even served vegan cake. Best of all the empanadas were yummy, just as I remember they were when I was non-vegan.

Pros: Yummy empanadas, Super friendly and relaxed staff, Great prices

Cons: They used plastic straws in my drink.

Empanadillas

Solo tuvimos el placer de probar las empanadillas, nos gustaría que hubiera más opciones pues solo pudimos disfrutar de 3. Aún así nos parecieron muy originales y muy ricas.

Pros: El sabor

Cons: Poca variedad

Vegan Empanadas!

Just had lunch here and was very impressed with their vegan seitan & mushroom empanadas. There were also vegan cake and quinoa salad options I plan to try for lunch tomorrow.

Really great location near the cathedral. The area is beautiful to walk through and the staff was kind and accommodating.

I would definitely recommend Picnicity to anyone looking for a quick, inexpensive Spanish meal.

Pros: Good Service, Bilingual Menu, High Quality Food

Cons: Limited Vegan Menu (more is always better)

Great for lunch

Stopped here for lunch and between two of us chose half a dozen pies (5 vegan, 1 vegetarian) from the range on offer - and they were all delicious. The fruit juice laced with a good portion of ginger was not to be missed, but although the salads and cakes looked great too, I had to postpone them for a future visit.

If the rating system permitted it, this would get a full 5 stars.

leave room for desert!

I had two pastries, I loved the Seitan one, the tofu option is good as well, but Seitan-Mushroom won. And than there was this carrot cake staring at me, I couldn't help but try it as well. it was worth every bite!!! oh and, I have to mention the lovely, very friendly staff! It doesn't take much to make customers feel welcome, but when you do it like they do, you might just feel like home 😍

Great place to snack!

I ate one of each vegan pies and they were all great. The smoothie was amazing made with local fruits. In the end I toped it up with an Apple cake.
The owners are really nice people and the small restaurant has that family feel, where everyone knows each other.

I would give this 5 stars but Happy Cow ridiculously only allows 4 Stars when a place is not 100% vegetarian.

Pros: Friendly people, Location, Variety

Cons: It's small so it fills up fast.
