Perfect afternoon tea - Edit
We booked Debbie Ryan for an afternoon tea after our wedding ceremony. We wanted something small but unique and Debbie Ryan's fit the bill. Obviously afternoon teas are supposed to be miniature but the three different sandwich fillings were delicious! As were the different cakes, and it was a delight to have scones with cream and jam again. We were all stuffed afterwards!

Went for afternoon tea for mother’s day. The decor and atmosphere of the place is perfect for afternoon tea. The vegan sandwiches were tasty and had a variety of flavours (including cheese and chutney). The vegan cakes were very nice and the scone was delicious. Staff were kind and attentive :)

I visted here for vegan afternoon tea with a small party of vegan friends. I was so looking to this. But the hype doesn't match the reality! The afternoon tea was miniscule with 2 tiny sandwiches and a few cakes.

Good location on a quiet little street in the city centre, easy to find despite the building works at the corner. A wonderful place clearly done with love, I'm not an art person but love handicrafts and thought the cafe was fab. Beautifully decorated with craftiness throughout and the food was so good! All fresh and menu clearly labelled with multiple vegan options, great quality and really hot soup, just what I needed. I love the idea of a crafternoon tea so may well go back...

Beautiful vegan cream tea! - Edit
I found out from the Nottingham Vegans Facebook group that this little craft shop has a tea room that offers a vegan cream tea. I was really happy to discover this, since I had assumed that a cream tea (scones! Clotted cream!) was something I would have to make myself or pre-order days in advance at a tearoom if I ever wanted a vegan version. It was really good to see a vegan option available (no pre-ordering required!) on the menu here. EDIT: just to be clear, the cream tea does not need pre-ordering but the afternoon tea (any type) does.
Read moreI obviously ordered the cream tea, which included a warm homemade fruit scone, a choice of raspberry or strawberry jam, coconut cream (mixed with a little icing sugar), a pot of tea (of your choice) and a free tea refill. They offered soy milk for the tea. The service was wonderful and the cream tea was nicely presented with a few slices of fresh strawberry. The menu had a variety of labelled vegan options, including sandwiches, cakes and vegan afternoon tea option (sandwiches and cakes served of a tiered plate).
Both the craft shop and tearoom are beautiful and quirky, with old sewing machines on some of the tables and handmade lace decorating the walls. It would be a lovely place for a gathering, and there are tables of various sizes (they run workshops and events here so I'm sure larger groups could be easily accommodated).
Looking forward to visiting again soon... the afternoon tea is calling my name...

Vegan friendly cafe - Edit
This place is pretty pro-vegan despite being an omni cafe - the blackboard, menu and noticeboard are plastered in vegan things like events and they even have 'Vegan Society supporter' on the bottom of the menu. They do vegan afternoon tea, vegan burgers, sandwiches, salads etc with plenty of choice. I had the pie and peas, which was phenomenal and came with vegan gravy. Got to go back and try the afternoon tea.
