Unfriendly and disappointing - Edit
As I came in, I was very happy being here and wanted to enjoy a great meal. But after I ordered the menu, I felt very unwelcome by the waiter. The vibes were so bad – I have no idea why, but it felt like the waiter didn’t want me to be here. Even if it was quite empty, they also forgot one order, which isn't a problem at all. The sandwich was very tasty, but the Tiramisu was disappointing: Just some roasted bread crumbles in a chocolate sauce (which didn’t taste good) with whipped cream. I really can’t recommend this place, even if it looks nice and fancy. I won’t recome unfortunately. It's the ever first vegan restaurant I'm giving one star (minum are 2 for vegan restaurants) ...

Hands down best in Colombia - Edit
De Raíz is my favorite restaurant in Colombia. I take my omnivore friends here and they always want to come back— even visitors from out of the country who typically turn their nose up at vegan restaurants. The little store is great. I love the little bar and just being in the restaurant in general.

Really DELICIOUS dishes! We ordered lasagne, burger and two cakes - chocolate and cheesecake (WOW) - everything was PERFECT. The portions are quite small, the prices are quite high for Bogota, but well - it is worth paying for this quality and taste. I highly recommend!

Hands down. Really delicious food. They know how to cook well. The cauliflower was roasted and seasoned perfectly. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Bogota.
Read moreThe only downside is that we came here at 13:00 on the 31st of December and the restaurant was full and it took them so long to bring the bill. The waitress even forgot about it, and we had to remind her after 10 minutes. I would not let this change my opinion on food and will still give them 5 starts.

I went 2 nights in a row and if I wasn't leaving Bogota I'd go back night after night and cycle through the menu. The quality of the food on top of the presentation was out of this world. On top of this, they served an amazing organic Pinot Noir for a really reasonable price which is really hard to find in this city.

I pretty much love everything at De Raíz, but those tacos filled with tofu and wild mushrooms are just delicious! Just remind them to heat the tortilla properly.

Amazing kitchen with terrible management/service - Edit
The food they serve here is impeccable. I've come here easily 15 times while living in Bogotá and only had a bad overall experience once. The thing is, the service is really weird, the waiters are ALL super unsure what they are doing. I've never come here and received my drinks right away, they take 10-15 for the drinks order. They just aren't managed effectively service wise. Hope they fix the service component, because the rest is on point!

At the beginning I thought the food was a bit expensive according to the portion, but in reality the taste is completely worth it, and you just have to know what to order to get a bigger plate haha, this place is a must try, the only thing they do have to improve a lot is the service.

I took my omni family here on our trip to Bogotá, and we found it in a lovely area of the city, with lights outside and nice decor. All our food was delicious, especially the burger and lasagne! the desserts are also amazing, but the service was a little slow and staff get a bit confused with alterations to the menu, eg swapping bread for fries. there is also a shop which has vegan chocolates, protein, quinoa and much more- would definitely reccomend!!

After reading all the reviews, I was very excited to try this place. It was my top pic in Bogotá from HappyCow website. However, although the menu looked very interesting, there was a weird vibe with the waiter and we felt like we had done something wrong even though we had been nothing but friendly. The prices were on the more expensive side as well.

High quality, sofisticated meals. Quinua burger, almond cheese and other delicacies available. Brunches are delicious too. Equivalent to high end vegan restaurants in Melbourne and San Francisco, without being overly priced.

My husband and I had an amazing mini meal here today. The ‘wings’ and nachos and a glass of wine each. The ‘wings’ are made from mushroom and absolutely phenomenal. The nachos was delicious too. On our way out we grabbed a small tub of the Masala Chai Cocolove icecream which was also amazing
