Fave spot in Porto!

Yum! All of the buffet except some desserts were vegan. Fresh, flavorful food and a ton of options. We all went up multiple times :) Good wine, too. Friendly and timely service. Large restaurant with a lot of seating. Favorite of the vegan buffets I ate at in Portugal.

Pros: Great food, Fast service, Spacious

Cons: Not all desserts are vegan

The best restaurant I ever been

I kid you not, there is nothing to regret on this place. The most delicious and amazing variety of food on eat all you can style buffet. The menu is also great when they are not serving the buffet. I went there every day of my stay in Porto and Im so glad I found this place. I wish they could open for breakfast as well and perhaps they need to improve their organization because the food is so good there is a line outside waiting to sit and they got a little messy on this.

Pros: Delicious food, Nice environment, Affordable

Cons: Lack of organization, Not the most friendly staff.

100% vegan, 99% bland

We had dinner at DaTerra on Baixa. Even on a Wednesday night, the restaurant was busy so reservations are suggested! I’m not a big fan of buffet restaurants but we decided to give DaTerra an opportunity based on the great reviews it has received. It was great for a change that you could eat anything, but for me that was the only ‘pro’. Despite the various options, in general the food was very bland, unseasoned and not-so-exciting - I do hope this was just ‘our luck’! If you’re a big eater and looking for an easy all-vegan option, DaTerra is worth the money!

Pros: 100% vegan, Various options

Cons: Bland & unseasoned food

Love the buffet

We came there for the buffet but were too early so we got something from the menu which was okay. I had a sandwich which was a bit too dry but still good. The day after we went there for the buffet which was much better! They had so much different food and eben though it says "vegetarian" everything was vegan. They only had a few cakes which were non-vegan and they wine seemed to be non-vegan when I asked. I would totally come back for the buffet and the cakes and there's plenty of seating. The only thing I didn't like was that the staff seemed pretty stressed and it took them a long time to get our order or to get the money when we wanted to pay which was kinda annoying. They probably need some more coordination. A smile wouldn't hurt them but when asking for a spice and if it's spicy he went to the kitchen to show me what it is.

Pros: Big seating area, Great buffet

Cons: Staff is kinda slow

Really good vegan buffet

Yummy vegan buffet, very nutritious and good value for money. Can be a bit busy during lunchtime, but it didn't bother us as the staff was very good at organising everything.

Good all you can eat buffet

I have only tried the all you can eat buffet which was pretty satisfying with quite a lot of options. The only downside is there are basically only sandwiches and burgers outside the "all you can eat hours".

Pros: Nice place, Centrally located, Tasty food

Cons: Lack of variety outside all you can eat

Great vegan value for money buffet

I went here twice during a three day stay - mostly because of its great location, but also because of the amazing buffet. They offer all you can eat soup, salads and warm dishes for only 7,50€ during the week and 9,90€ on the weekend! I thought it was going to be vegetarian with labeled vegan options but it was actually 100% vegan.
The fresh salads could have seen a bit more salt but all in all very good and great variety. It's always a moment to remember when you can choose whatever on a buffet as a vegan :)
The staff was friendly but not overly interested nor talkative. Probably not the most comfortable in speaking englisch...

Pros: Vegan buffet with great variety

Overpriced and rude waiters

The food was good . Unfortunately, it doesn't justify the cost, and the service is rude and unfriendly. I overheard two members of staff criticising tourists using derogatory language, but the manager was not interested to learn about this.

Burguers OK, terrible staff

So first of all I would say it is really complex to understand the schedule for buffet/normal menu options. It seems that they have lunch buffet from 12:00-15:30 and it is JUST BUFFET no burguers, sandwiches... Then, from 15:30 til 19h they serve burguers and sandwiches but no buffet and from 19h onwards, again dinner buffet and no burguers/sandwiches etc

SO:

JUST LUNCH BUFFET 12:00h-15:30h
NO BUFFET, MENU OPTIONS 15:30h-19:00h
JUST DINNER BUFFET 19:00h-23:00h

We tried two burguers: chillie and chickpeas/almond. The last one was too dry and, although the first one was ok, it practically melted into one's hands while eating. Anyway tasty. Chips were really nice too.

The waitress, however, was a mess. She was unfriendly, a bit angry and she dropped our plates while taking them away! Also, she was talking on the phone while attending the bar... Not good.

Pros: Vegan buffet, Pies

Cons: Staff, Chickpeas's burguer overrated

Modern Buffet

Modern and smart restaurant. I wasn't expecting to be so impressed. The Buffet is not very extensive but more than sufficient. The soup is the best I've had in Porto and the Brussell sprouts and vegan creme fraise were rather special. Plus the opening hours are great compared to other vege places in Porto. I would be so happy to have a franchise like this where I live.

Earth that you walk upon

I was instantly impressed with this place which I wasn't expecting as I had visions of a simple but functional typical Potuguese vegetarian buffet. Arriving on a Sunday at 21:00 the place was absolutely packed. I seriously mean this. Rammed. The queue for the food was for me, intolerable. We came back at 22:00 to find a much more relaxed and calmer environment. More importantly, a high table window seat. The interior is modern and bright but tastefully so. For €9.90 you can eat as much you want including soup, dips, cold items and a smaller selection of rices and hot dishes. By the way the staff member who served our sparkling water and house white wine from the Douro Valley said Da Terra was now 100% vegan. Most wonderful news indeed. Even late in the evening some food items were being replenished. There's a sense of order here and I like it very much indeed.

Pros: Open late, Good food, Location

Cons: Can get very busy

Beautiful Place with Friendly Staff

Da Terra is lovely. I have been there a few times now. The buffet is almost entirely vegan - ask them and they will tell you if anything is not vegan. The atmosphere is modern and minimalistic. I like it a lot. Great place to go with your meat-eating friends - everyone will enjoy it.

Pros: friendly staff, modern interior, lots of options

Good buffet

Lunch buffet costs €7,50 and included a creamy vegetable soup, juice shots, slaws, green salad, lentil salad, hummus and bread, sesame-seed-coated tofu wedges, skewered Brussels sprouts and cherry tomatoes, rice, bean-seitan chili, roasted vegetables, polenta rounds and one non-vegan item. Most things were vegan, including the soup. You can go back and fill your plate as much as you want. Can order drinks (beer, wine, sangria), juices, etc., and dessert, some of which are vegan. I took away a piece of açai-banana pie and a seitan-spinach pot pie (both vegan, of course). I plan to go again. Lunch buffet runs 12 noon to 3:30pm; dinner is from 7 pm.

Pros: lots of vegan dishes, including the soup, can go back to the buffet for more, menu available also, besides the buffet

Cons: not all vegan

Vegetarian with Vegan option

I had dinner there and on that day 2 out of the 3 dishes were vegan (tofu moqueca and seitan "steak" with baked potatoes). Both were really tasty.
Also there is a selection of salads and entrees and most of them are vegan, which is nice.

The place is really cute and cozy. I would go back for sure.

Pros: Vegan options, Tasty food, location

Cons: not being fully vegan

Buffet in the centre of Porto

This bright and modern vegetarian place in the touristic centre of Porto offers a great buffet for only 9,90 €. There’s a huge variety of different dishes. At least for some dishes they have signs with the ingredients, but no clear signage which dishes are vegan, so I asked and was happy to find out that the majority is vegan.

They struggle with the usual problems of buffets and why I normally avoid buffets: The majority of food was only lukewarm, and the rice and the pasta dish weren’t really fresh anymore…
Still, this is good value and there was enough food that I truly enjoyed. The soup was great, the salads fresh, they had yummy fruit shots and a very tasty curry.

Drinks and desserts cost extra but are worth the money. We liked both the fresh juices and the delicious vegan chocolate cake!

They are open every day, at lunchtime and in the evening – that’s why we went here twice, with very little other options on Sundays…
Da Terra seems to be very popular among locals, too!

Pros: Good value for money, Central location, Opening times

Cons: Some food is only lukewarm

Great Vegetarian Buffet In Center of Porto

I ate at Da Terra following a long morning touring around the city and I was very satisfied with the lunch buffet. There were several cold salads as well as an amazing soup, a couple of warm protein dishes, and a couple of other side dishes. I especially enjoyed the vegan adaptation of the fried codfish dish that is seen in every other restaurant in the city. The vast majority of the dishes were vegan (at least on the day that I visited). The price was very reasonable for an all you can eat buffet. I highly recommend this restaurant for any tourists traveling in Porto (especially when it is so difficult to find vegan or vegetarian food options in Portugal).

Pros: Food, Location, Price

Cons: Busy
