Very good Restaurant

I would go to Porto again (from Switzerland) only to eat there. Very tasty food, for small price. Soup and seitan are fantastic and there is more nice things to enjoy.
Only paying system is chaotic, what make a bit stress for costumers and stuff (which is ok, but not to kind).

Very tasty buffet in the heart of Porto

We had a great time in DaTerra Vegetarian Restaurant. The buffet offers a variety of cold and hot food. Nothing mindblowing or original but enough so that you leave full and satisfied. I tried their lemon tart and it was light and tasty as well and their juices were yummy! Very good value for a weekday lunch.

Staff didn't seem particularly friendly and the manager was lacking a bit of human skill as they seemed to react strangely to us raising an error in our bill (one of our purchase was counted twice), which was the only low point of our visit there!

Pros: Their fried balls, their fruit juices, good value during weekday lunches

Cons: Unfriendly staff, no signs indicating if veggie/vegan, unpleasant toilets

everything is soooooo goood

very rarely when i go to a restaurant i feel relaxed and don't have to check that nothing "uneatable" for me is ending up in my plate!
here at Da Terra, i felt like a child in a toystore
everything is good, tasty and vegan

Pleasant Surprise!

I tried this restaurant a few months ago for the first time and loved it!

I was even more happy about the long queue waiting outside to get a table! It means people are getting more and more interested, so that only made me quite happy.

It's a buffet restaurant, my type, and it has many choices to pick from. I remember thinking it had a gourmet style and it was interesting.

The food was good, particulary the brown rice. The best I had ever tried.

The space is really open and modern. I loved it and the staff is also nice. I really hope I can come back in the future!

Oh if you plan to go there to have dinner, maybe it is better to make a reservation or come earlier.

Pros: Wide variety of tasty food, Cool and modern space, Cheap

Great buffet in Porto, and very cheap. Tasty food, a lot of optios from salads, creams, rice, seitan, and all kind of vegetables. Highly recommended

Food, food, food!!!! Yes!!!!

Good place to go if you are very hungry as you are able to eat as much as you want for only 7,50€!! Food is nice, specially seitan, tofu with pinapple and roasted potatoes.
Desserts and juices are paid as extras but don’t leave without trying their delicious Banofee Pie, so yummy!
Juices are sold as something to improve some part of our body, I tried the one to improve my immune system as I was quite sick, but it was pretty spicy because of the ginger. My partner ordered the juice of the day and it was amazing.
I would have loved to have more main courses in the selection instead of so many starters, but I would definitely recommend it!

I want to go back so badly

I'm living in Brussels and except The Judgy Vegan which offers comfort food and an amazing buffet, there isn't such place as Da Terra with such an amazing choice of vegan food, buffet all you can eat cold and warm for so cheap! The atmosphere is beautiful and light, people friendly and cakes to fall in love with. Defenitely an address to keep in mind! I also tried DaTerra in Matosinhos and it was the same pleasant experience.

Pros: Price, Variety, Healthy

Lay me to rest, that was the best!

This place has AMAZING cakes and tarts! They have apple pie AND apple crumble! Both are equally delicious and go great with some green tea. They also have a really good hot chocolate, a bit sweet but definitely worth it.
To top it off they have. The best. Dark chocolate tart. I have ever eaten, vegan or not! It's absolutely delicious!
Will definitely be coming back!

Delicious Buffet and Dessert

The presentation of the dishes is wonderful, the food is delicious, well seasoned and gourmet. I tried the vegan banoffee pie for dessert and it's amazing (must try!) very good restaurant and very friendly staff!

Pros: Amazing food and dessert!

Cons: Slight expensive but I think it's a cost benefit.

lots of options

This buffet was very close to our hotel, but it looks like DaTerra has multiple Porto locations if there is one closer to you. Many options and they kept it fresh with new dishes more than once while we were there. Not the best vegn food I've tasted but I gave 5 stars due to the fact that it's a full vegan buffet! This buffet offered soup and both hot and cold options as well as yummy looking desserts which cost extra. We were full after our meal but will likely venture back for some cake or pie. I will warn you though --sitting outside within 1 hour we had 4 separate homeless people (who appeared to be on drugs or just mentally unwell--not your typical begger) come up to us while we ate. The waiters ushered them away when they noticed. If you are skittish then sit inside -- it's very nice inside anyway with lots of plants and a clean decor.

Pros: all vegan, many choices, nice looking restaurant

Cons: outside you may be interrupted by passers by, no l

Amazing place, food, staff

The food at the buffet was amazing, lots of differrent options like soup, sushi, noodles, lots of salads, quiche, it was all very tasty. 9.90€ is a great price for the all you can eat buffet that will not leave you hungry. If you have any room left, try their cakes. Very delicious. Also, the staff is really nice.

Pros: Lots of options, Great atmosphere, Amazing staff

Cons: None

Excellent Food and Variety

We ate here for the dinner buffet, and it was tasty. They offered a variety of options, as well as dessert options (not included in the buffet price). The chocolate cake and acai and banana tart were super scrumptious!
It is such a great deal for 10 euros for all-you-can-eat. We enjoyed the food, and it was quite busy, but we came right before the buffet started so seating was not an issue. However, the service is not the best because they are so busy.

Pros: great food options, good value, yummy desserts

Cons: not the best service

If you have time to kill...

We vistited DaTerra twice. First time, we got lucky and got a table outside. So we didn't have to wait 45min (like the people in the queue). The buffet was good, but the plates were empty most of the time. The stressed out stuff wasn't able to get food out in time.
The food was nice, could be better seasoned.
Second time, we only wanted to grab a "quick snack" and we learned: it can take 30min to simply make a sandwich. Wow.

Beautiful food, but unfortunately not really tasty

We were first to arrive to dinner and therefore had chance to pick something from every dish. Sadly, most of the food didn’t taste good, it just looked amazing. Expecting to eat nice warm dinner, we were disappointed that only one or two dishes were hot. Another minus of the restaurant was that after opening food disappeared quickly and they were not able to keep up with it. Still, I’m going to this place again some day in the hope of eating better tasting food. Place and decor is nice, location is amazing.

Pros: location, food appearance, decor

Cons: taste of food

Superb

This is a lovely, airy restaurant located in the centre of Porto. When my partner arrived for dinner there was only the buffet available to us, but it didn’t disappoint. The buffet consisted of a large, varied selection of dishes which were fresh and flavoursome. We also enjoyed attentive service and decent wine. The restaurant was very busy, even on a Monday night, so I would recommend booking before you go.

Pros: Fresh, tasty food., Reasonable prices., Attentive, friendly service.

Very good! Vegan buffet is worth it!

My bf and I tasted the burger on an evening and it was quite nice and I also like the potato wedges. For desert, the banana pie was worth it! On the other side; “cheese cake” made with silken tofu was not really tasty.
We went back another day for lunch and tried the buffet. It was 7,50€ for the all you can eat for lunch. (9,50€ on the evening I think) Lots of options and good price! Definitely a recommandation in Porto!

Pros: delicious , reasonable prices

SO delicious

Chili burger- amazing. Chocolate cake- amazing. Got here too late for the buffet but I'm certainly not crying about it. It was all delicious. The staff also told me that everything they serve in the restaurant is vegan. I'll be back.

Trendy veggie buffet

Almost vegan buffet, very central and nice decor.
It seems to be very trendy for tourists. There's a huge selection of food to chose from. A lot of the dishes were very flavorful and some others were impressive looking but a bit plain. I would recommend it either for people that like raw food but also for people like me who likes more consistent and filling dishes. The service was ok but we never ended up having drinks because when the waitress came to ask we were already done with our dinner.

Pros: Cheap, pretty, wide selection

Cons: unconfortable seating, slow service
