I love the idea of unlimited food, and if it’s vegan it’s like heaven. The food is nicely served and the waiters are quite friendly despite the place being busy with guests waiting for their tables in lines.

If you manage to catch the buffet- good job! It offers a variety of salads, stews, baked goods and a soup. The rest of the day the place offers mostly sandwiches - still delicious, but the buffet is amazing. Get there early- the place is packed! And you can try the famous creme de nata!

My husband and I ate at DaTerra twice in May. We arrived about an hour after they opened for dinner and there was a line at the door waiting to be seated. After being seated, a server gives the guests a drinks menu on a clipboard. All drinks are ordered - alcoholic, soda, juices, smoothies and water. The buffet is self serve and you pick up a plate, silverware and napkins on the buffet. You can go through as many times as you like. The food was really good and there were many many options. They would bring out different dishes continuously. I thought all the dishes were very good and had flavor. The restaurant was extremely busy and the servers looked harried. Although the food tasted quite good and were prepared well, the drinks were a problem. We ordered juices but never received them. This was the case for other diners seated. The server explained that the drinks are prepared downstairs and they just deliver them. I'm not sure why it would take over an hour to prepare drinks but that is what happened when we were there.

Good to find a vegan chain in Portugal, which I wasn’t expecting. Nice enough lunch options although items not restocked as quickly as you’d like (people sitting around me appeared to have found items I couldn’t see on offer- but it was 2.30 pm...) The other bugbear was the long queue out in the street, despite empty tables which I found rather annoying. Good to grab a quick lunch if there is no queue.

We have been to daterra twice after arriving in Porto. The first time around we had dinner and second time around we had cake. The food is healthy and delicious, everything is vegan so it is super easy to eat here. The Quality of the food is great and for 10€ you can eat as much as you want, which is amazing. The desert/cane options are wonderful too! The only downfall is the staff being a bit stressed or not very attentive, but the good overweighs the bad in this case! Can definitely recommend!

I just finished hiking the Camino in Spain where all I ate was bread and pasta for 2.5 weeks. When I came here for dinner I was like a kid in a candy store! I ate 2 massive plates of food! Great value for what you get. Since my hotel was close by I even came back the next morning for the breakfast buffet!

After reading so many great reviews I was really looking forward to eating at DaTerra but when I finally had a chance, I wasn’t happy :(. The taste was bland, almost without flavor. The selection was wide, it seemed to be healthy but I’m not going to return cause there are way better places in Porto.

This place stole my heart right away when I walked in , what a beautiful nice , clean and modern hang out. lot's of seats to choose inside and outside , in the middle of the centre. the buffet was impressive to me. I didn't hesitate to take the lunch which was a big success . Unlimited vegan food , plenty of choice , for a reasonable price. The service was super super friendly and helpful , and did their best to serve the pretty crowded restaurant all day long. Don't leave town without a visit to this place. highly recommended by me ! I was impressed.
Read moreAnother thing that I liked was that they had nutritional yeast available next to the olive oil. To me this little detail means the owner has a good knowledge how to run a high class vegan place.
