Seven years after the opening of this restaurant, the owners Diane (chef) and Rachel (service) turned vegan. As of September 2018 the restaurant also turned vegan, but still serves authentic Indonesian food. Lunch choice is between 3 lunch menus and evening cozy a la carte service (menu on their website).
Note May 2020: confirmed reopened for indoor dining Tues-Sat evenings with pre-booking only. Continuing to offer takeaway. Open Mon-Sat 5:30pm-9:00pm. Closed Sun. Last order 9:45 pm.

Indonesian vegan heaven

An absolute gem of a restaurant showcasing Indonesian specialities. We loved the jackfruit rendang, crispy seitan in peanut sauce, gado gado salad and 'no chicken' soya dish on our visit. The desserts are also a must try: jackfruit ice-cream and fried banana cake, yum! The owners are both vegan themselves and super friendly and welcoming, plus they even have vegan wines on offer. We will be back for another visit soon.

Excellent!

This is one of those places you can bring your omnivore friends and not even tell them it’s a vegan restaurant! Big, bold, authentic flavors and warm and friendly service. So glad I found this place!

Bring Omnis here!

This restaurant is by far the best in Zürich! So many flavours, so well seasoned, so authentic! We ordered many things and shared everything since we wanted to try many different things. The Jackfruit was amazing, it looks and feels like meat in the mouth (as far as I can remember how meat tastes like) and then it melts in your mouth. Absolutely wonderful, highly recommended!

Delicious and honest

The food is sensational, and prices are moderate to be in Zurich.
Given the exotic dishes, it is suited to both vegan and non-vegans who are willing to try something unusual.
Absolutely recommended in my experience.

Yummi Indonesian Food in Zurich

We‘ve been there for the first time and were exceptionally surprised how fresh, delicious and authentic the food was. Due to the fact we couldn‘t choose what to eat (because everything sounded tasty), we definitaly have to come back to try every single thing on the menu. We had a main course and dessert. Price-performance is more than fair. The owners are vegans as well and it‘s lovely to see how they converted their place into a vegan one. Staff who‘s working there are very friendly, too. Reservation is recommended during evenings (we guess). We can‘t wait visiting again!

Great Food, Nice courageous Owners

The two owners converted a successfully running meat restaurant in a vegan one ... out of ethical principles. Already this is a gold medal ... But:
We were there yesterday and it was a very positive surprise.
The food was good, the service very friendly and the restaurant nice and unique
If you are in Zürich you should not miss the chance to eat great indonesian food in this place.
