Best vegan options in Hvar - Edit
The only con here is that vegan options are not listed on the menu, which is always stressful. But indeed as others have commented, the service is extremely friendly, and once you ask for the vegan options they would walk you throughout the menu to indicate what can be made vegan and with what modifications. I had a very nice zucchini carpaccio with shavings of smoked tofu and pine nuts, and a surprisingly good roast of seitan in truffle sauce. They have simple but pleasing vegan cake for dessert. Very nice atmosphere, wine, shots on the house - I definitely recommend visiting.

Three free shots!! - Edit
My Omni partner and I had an amazing time at this place. Not only did we get three free shots, but the seitan steak was covered with marvelous mushrooms. Also. Listen to this. A Korean couple sat down next to us, and after asking where they were from, the waiter proceeded to speak Korean to them!!! In croatia!!!! So exciting. Great time.

5 stars - amazing place - Edit
Service is absolutely incredible!
Read moreWaiters are knowledgeable, respectful and helpful regarding veganism.
There were a few options to choose from, I had a seitan steak which was a bit too salty for me which I just happened to mention to the waiter when he asked me how it was (I didn’t complain) and for that he gave me free vegan cake which was absolutely delicious.
Also each meal came with a different free delicious half-shot of a local liquor which was such a special lovely touch.
The location is also great.
It is popular, so a reservation is strongly advised.
Highly recommend it!

We had such a great meal here - the food, service and setting were all fantastic.
Read moreIf you check the TripAdvisor and Google reviews etc everyone talks about how great the service is and the lovely atmosphere and the general quality of the place, and we found all of that to be true
What really impressed me was the quality of their vegan options and how knowledgeable every waiter was about them. In many omni restaurants your best hope is to have the meat removed and hope there will be something suitable on the menu, but not here. Someone in the kitchen has truly made an effort to accommodate vegans and vegetarians and they have made it possible to have vegan versions of several of the menu items without compromising the dishes.
There is a seitan steak which was very flavoursome and can be served with any of the sides and sauces. They also have vegan pasta, sometimes have vegan gnocchi, and several vegan sauces to choose from (they even have vegan cream so they they can adapt the creamy sauces). The black truffle sauce was incredible. The vegan options aren't printed on the menu so you do have to ask but the staff are so friendly, it's not a problem.
It does seem to get very busy so book ahead if you can, and if you're going to take your chances without booking, go as early in the evening as you can and be prepared to be asked to wait for half an hour or more in a nearby bar - it's worth it.
I'm only able to rate this place 4 stars out of 5 as Happy Cow don't allow 5* ratings for restaurants that serve meat, but we definitely has a 5* experience.
Pros: Great value considering the quality, Excellent vegan options
Cons: They serve veal and foie gras
