A great place to come with non-vegans and vegans. Tons of vegan options, line can be looooong at night! Ice cream is delicious and prices are reasonable. Lots of nice outdoor seating!

Half the flavors are vegan and the ones I've tried have been very good. They also have vegan soft serve (which I haven't tried yet) and rotating flavors of vegan PIE (which I have tried and is solid), something that's pretty hard to find.

Curbside Creamery does great vegan ice cream. Half the menu has all vegan ice cream flavors made using coconut as the base. They even have vegan soft serve.
Read moreI went with a double scoop of half young coconut and cookie dough. I had it in a waffle cone with sprinkles. All of it was vegan.
I think the young coconut flavor was exceptional and one of the best vegan ice creams I ever had and the cookie dough was just average. Next time I would get a double or single of the young coconut ice cream.
Highly recommended to go check out if in Oakland!

I really like the unique flavors and how they change. My faves so far are the pumpkin pie and peanut butter fudge. The chocolate waffle cones are really good!

I really love the vegan ice cream here. They have just as many vegan flavors as dairy (currently eight each, so lots to choose from!), and everything else--cones, toppings, pies--are vegan as well. I'm eager to try an ice cream sandwich sometime, they look super good too! And they have vegan soft serve, which I hadn't had the chance to eat in years since I'd never found a vegan one. It's absolutely one of the best soft serves I've ever had (the vegan flavor this week was dark chocolate). I've tried the vegan cookie dough and mint chip flavors, both excellent. Most of the vegan flavors are cashew based, sometimes soy or coconut too. Compared to Oatly, for instance, whose oat based vanilla could actually trick me into thinking I was eating dairy, the cashew based ice cream is definitely a little different in texture than dairy ice cream. But that is definitely not a complaint. The flavor leaves absolutely nothing lacking and the texture, even if not 100% mistakeable for dairy, is still pretty close and quite satisfying regardless!
Read moreThe staff is extremely friendly and said that the peanut butter fudge is an extremely popular vegan flavor too, as well as recommending the mint chip. The store is small and very pleasant. I almost wish there weren't so many flavors because I know I'll never get to try them all! I also appreciate them having compostable spoons and cups.
Overall, could hardly be yummier or a better experience. I can't wait to stop by again!

Creative Vegan Flavors - Edit
Was very excited to try Curbside Creamery after following their Instagram for some time now. I had a scoop of the Pistachio cashew-based ice cream flavor and it did not disappoint. Extremely creamy, rich, and delicious. If I'm ever in the area, I will definitely be stopping by for a sweet treat!

i’ve been going to curbside since before i was vegan (almost 3 yrs), and when i went vegan i was so glad that i could still eat at my fave ice cream spot! half of their options are vegan and they even have a vegan soft serve option, and vegan pies! also, for the longest time their waffle cone contained dairy, but it is now vegan! so yeah, i HIGHLY recommend curbside to anyone vegan or not, you won’t be disappointed:)

Kudos to them for offering both vegan scoop and soft serve options! The cookies & cream scoop was so creamy and delicious that it earned them 4-stars. I got my vegan scoops in a sugar cone because if I remember correctly, the waffle cones aren't vegan. (Correct me if I'm wrong and I will happily update.)
Read moreThe main downside is that there isn't a smorgasbord of flavor options, but luckily they had one flavor that I liked. Also, be aware that the vegan ice cream is cashew-milk based, so if you have nut allergies you're SOL.
