The best vegan pizza around

They have phenomenal vegan pizza and sandwiches, served by friendly staff with bountiful humor.

Pros: Delicious food , Lots of vegan options , Friendly staff

Cons: The vegan fat pizza needs to be a permanent menu , Hours are a little weird sometimes , Just those two things

Solid Vegan Menu

Shame that I can't give 5 stars because it is not 100% vegan (Happy Cow Rule - not mine). They have two menus and one is vegetarian/vegan. Great food, fun vibe. I love the vegan mozz sticks. There is a loaded french fry dish that is amazing. The last time I was there they had some vegan dessert options that were good. This is a great option if you are looking for a place for all kinds of eaters (veg, vegan, omni).

Pros: More foodie pizza than traditional NJ pizza, Great flavor profiles/combos on the pizzas, Funky artwork and decor

Cons: The food is more upscale than the location, The serveware feels very diner like

Amazing

Such phenomenal vegan food. Sandwiches are huge, this is worth the road trip just to bring one back and eat it for the week. Get the mozz sticks (!) and nacho fries. Seriously, try it all. Call ahead, many times I’ve made the drive and gotten there to see a closed paper sign on the door or out of vegan food. Other than that soooo worth it and tons of other vegan food in the area!

Pros: Vegan comfort food 😍, Delicious , Huge portions

Cons: Closed unexpectedly , Out of vegan sometimes

Cheat Day Worthy

As other reviewers have stated, Crust and Crumble has a separate vegan menu filled with deliciousness. Definitely get the seitan bites, they're amazing! I also love the jalapeno poppers and fat cat sandwiches. Bring your appetite, portions are huge. My personal favorite feature of this place is the baked goods case. The whole top shelf is vegan and they have seriously droolworthy options like s'mores bars, turtle brownies and cookie sandwiches. I always take several goodies to go, and they've all been entirely worth the calories!

Pros: Amazing vegan baked goods, Delicious food, Large portions

Cons: Definitely not health food, Don't go when you're on a diet!

Junk Food Heaven!

Crust and Crumble, though not entirely vegan (sadly) has an entirely vegan separate vegan menu and always a fair selection of vegan baked goods. Jalapeño poppers, mozzarella sticks, cheesesteak, pizza...you name it!

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Diverse selection , Friendly staff

Cons: Not entirely vegan , Junk food (is this really a con though)

So many vegan options but boy does this place pile on the vegan cheese! A little too much but pretty good otherwise. Place was easy to find. Staff is friendly.

Pros: Lots of vegan options including desserts., Reasonably priced

Cons: Use a little too much cheese

VEGAN FAT SANDWHICHES

I love these guys, but their pizza is not my favorite item...it's the WIDE SELECTION OF VEGAN FAT SANDWICHES. Remember fat sandwiches? You can be vegan and still enjoy your favorite hangover cure-all! Also their mozzarella sticks are lovely! Don't miss their selection of vegan desserts too!

Some things Yum, some things not

I am a vegetarian for 25 years. My boyfriend an open minded meat eater who happens to be a chef. We started out with vegan poppers and garlic fries.. both awesome!! For dinner I had vegan chicken parm, very good. Boyfriend has vegan baked ziti.. inedible, not only was the pasta not ziti but it wasn't baked and the flavors were subpar. I was bummed I always want my non veg people to have an awesome experience. So.. we brought it home and fed to chickens. Oh for dessert peanut butter chocolate pie. Not good couldn't taste the peanut butter or the chocolate. So basically it depends on what you order there.. staff was sweet

Must try if you’re in Eatontown, NJ!

Ended up staying at The Asbury Hotel on a work related trip, and this place was 5 mins drive. I really lucked out! I ordered delivery, which took a while but I didn’t mind waiting. I ordered vegan mozzarella sticks, vegan jalapeño poppers and the vegan mac and cheese. I was extremely impressed with their full vegan menu, I honestly wanted to order one of everything because it all sounded so good.

I had been dying to try vegan mozzarella sticks as I’ve never had them the entire time I’ve been vegan. They were really really good! Came with marinara sauce and had a nice crunch on the outside, soft on the inside. Jalapeño poppers were great too and came with a ranch sauce.

The Mac and cheese however, was disappointing. It wasn’t creamy at all. Tasted like plant based milk and nutritional yeast. No seasonings at all, very bland. There were vegan bacon bits on top which was a nice touch but out of the huge dish that was given to me, I ate three bites. Do not recommend.

I ordered with a coworker who got a chicken salad and the delivery driver separated my food and hers into different bags, which was very respectful and appreciated.

Honestly, if i was back in the area - I would order from this place again, no doubt about it. They had a huge selection of pizza, wings, subs, etc on the menu. Would be a great place to go with omni friends so everyone can have something that they enjoy.

Pros: Wide Selection of Options , Customer Service

I love this place!

This place is great! I love their vegan pizza and the vegan French onion soup. The soup is nearly identical to the non-vegan version. I would give 5 stars if the app allowed!

Pros: vegan pizza with good tasting cheese, other great vegan options , reasonably priced

Cons: parking isn't easy to find in the summer

The best vegan Mozzarella Sticks

They have a separate vegan menu & I love everything on it. My favorite is the Mozzarella Sticks . They are crunchy on the outside & soft & gooey inside. Everything that I ever had here was the best of it's kind.

Pros: Perfection, Friendly, Great vegan selection & desserts

Cons: Too far from me.

Okay vegan Italian

I've tried a few things off the vegan menu.... let me start with this; their subs are easily the most delicious fare they have to offer. I frequently enjoy the vegan chicken parm while my husband gets the cheese steak. Crunchy, flavorful, delicious.

We've also tried the boneless BBQ and buffalo bites. While they do not replicate the texture of an actual chicken, they taste good on their own sort of creation so it's another frequently purchased food.

Dairy can be difficult to replicate. Most of us know this and most of us will appreciate the effort. The mozzarella sticks are easily the closest I've ever tried. Unfortunately it doesn't matter about requesting the sticks to be extra crispy... they still fall apart while you eat them. As for the flavor, not exactly my favorite mozzarella flavor but as long as you eat it fresh you should be okay. Warning: you make risk burning your mouth in order to get the best flavor out of those lol!

We decided to split a personal pizza to see if we liked it. We ordered a simple pizza with vegan cheese and sausage with fresh basil. They were out of fresh basil. The sausage wasn't exactly a popular topping as most of it was picked off and left in the box. The cheese tasted better on the pizza than in the mozzarella sticks. It's a decent meal but it's not the best vegan versions I've ever tried. I think it's awesome though all the people veg or not that come to enjoy that side of the menu. Kudos to you all.

All in all I'm giving 3 because their subs are delicious.

amazing pizza!

Decided to try Crust and Crumble based off of Happycow reviews and was very very glad we did! Tried a couple different pizzas and got the vegan mozzarella sticks. We were so happy to have so many vegan options and loved that there was a separate vegan menu, rather than going somewhere to pick through and hope to find something. The staff was super friendly and the restaurant was really cute. Will definitely go back next time were in New Jersey!

Pros: many vegan options, mozzarella sticks!!!

Cons: none

Pretty satisfied with my experience there

I was traveling to Asbury Park for a concert with my boyfriend, and while there are several restaurants in the area with vegan options we chose this one since he's very into pizza.

Food: 8. We split a half size of the vegan chicken parm sandwich, which was impressive big for a half size! The whole size must be HUGE! We also split personal size a vegan pizza. I don't remember the name of it, but it was the first one listed on the menu and was the closest to a plain cheese pizza. Both items were pretty tasty, but I preferred the sandwich. I wasn't a big fan of the cheese used, which I noticed more on the pizza than on the sandwich... it didn't taste or look like Daiya or Teese to me, so not sure which brand it is... but it did look more like dairy cheese than most vegan cheeses I've had. All in all, the food was pretty satisfying. My only complaint in this area is the heavy focus on mock meats and cheeses.

Price: 8. I'd say it's average prices for vegan sandwiches and pizzas, ranging around $8-12 per person depending on what you get. Pretty reasonable, I think.

Atmosphere: 7. There are two rooms... one that is more casual/take out oriented, and one that is a bit more of an intimate and cozy dining room. We opted for the latter, and it was cozy (despite a loud group in there at the time, which isn't the restaurant's fault, of course). Both rooms are tiny overall, though, and it's kind of weird that they are extremely separate.

Staff: 8. Rather friendly and helpful.

The only downside I can think of offhand is it seems to be metered/street parking in the area.

Pros: Extensive vegan menu, Tasty, Reasonable prices

Cons: Too focused on mock meats and cheeses, Street/tricky parking, Small rooms
