Awesome food, nice people - Edit
I had the jackfruit Benedict which was fantastic, one of the best meals I had in Austin. The workers were very nice and helpful. Sit at tables inside or outside, or at the counter. Lots of menu choices, including dessert.

Healthier comfort food. - Edit
I like this place when I’m feeling comfort food, but want it to be on the healthy side. The raw cheesecakes are great, love the slaw and the chickpea melt sandwich.

So tasty and filling - Edit
Went for dinner and got a whole bunch of food. The buffalo Mac and cheeze balls were excellent. I ordered the beet burger and loved it, friend ordered the burrito. We had to waddle home because we were so stuffed.

So yummy! - Edit
First time here. I had the Reuben sandwich with the kale salad, and it was beautifully presented and delicious. Visiting here on a business trip, and I really wish we had one back in my area where I live in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Great café feel, wonderful service, very tasty food. I will come back again over the next few days and try other options. So many things looked great!

Life-affirming Food - Edit
The tempeh reuben was absolutely amazing! The chickpea salad sandwich was also delicious. I was very impressed with the flavor and attention given to the sides since those are often overlooked, in my opinion. We loved the brownie sundae as well! I can't recommend this place enough.

Good place! - Edit
Food is good here, if a bit new. Some of the flavors don’t come together as well, but overall solid place. Not a huge fan of the cornbread or the Mac and cheese.

THANKSGIVING MEAL - Edit
I ordered two of the Thanksgiving meals with one of each dessert option since I was visiting non-vegan family for the holidays. Our meal looked and tasted amazing, the portions were huge and everyone kept asking what everything was because it looked delicious. The desserts were decadent and tasty my favorite being the pecan pie cheesecake. Overall great food and a good value, I would order the holiday meal again!

Awesome Staff and Food - Edit
This place was easy to find, and made for an awesome dining experience on their patio with adorable string lights. Had the Reuben with slaw and Philly with Caesar salad. Philly and salad was good but the Reuben and slaw were freaking amazing. Then we had a special dessert, blood orange chocolate cheesecake- OMMMMMMGG the best! Also the lavender lemonade was so good, I even got one to go.

Everything was Great. Definitely recommend. - Edit
Shared the jalapeno artichoke dip, jerked seitan sandwich, pastrami sandwich, avocado key lime pie and the brownie sundae. All were great. Too many items to choose from. Service and cosy atmosphere were great too. Definitely recommend.

Ooooh good - Edit
The food is hearty comfort food, but not greasy or weighed down. The lentil loaf is absolutely delicious, as was the cornbread, Pac-Man salad, and chili. Great selection of local beers, and lovely staff that gave us recommendations for other vegan spots in Austin.

Insane food!!! - Edit
Okay this is one of my new fave vegan places I’ve ever been too! I went twice in my 3 day stay in Austin and would go many more times if I could!! Very cute area and lovely service but the food is just so good! I had a daily special one day which was a polenta bake with marinara, mushrooms and chorizo on top and it’s easily one of the best things I’ve ever ate, just so flavoursome and so different to anything else I eat! Next time I got the Seitan bake with a side of jackfruit and bbq beans and the cornbread and this also blew my mind! Again just so flavoursome and something I’d never cook myself and never really see anywhere else!my meat eating friend got the nachos and loved them and I tried them and the mince tasted so real it was awesome! Can’t recommend enough just so many different options because as a vegan sometimes things get a bit same same whilst eating out so this was super refreshing! Also amazing prices I left feeling so full!!

Yummy and cute - Edit
All vegan menu. We went for brunch and there was already a line to get in. Had special pancakes and husband had enchilada special. Big portions and friendly, quick service. Totally recommend, but I hear there's usually a wait.

Best. In. Austin. - Edit
Counter Culture is the absolute best! I love their take on soul food, comfort classics. The food is so hearty and satisfying and I would kill for their gf Mac and cheese or a cheese plate right now! So yum!

Good food, long waits - Edit
The food is great but I generally avoid it due to long waits for a table and long waits for food.
Read moreI've been there half a dozen times and 5 of those 6 times it's been a long wait for my order to come out to the point where I was tempted to ask if the order was even put in.
Maybe I've just been unlucky but thats been my experience.
Pros: Good Food
Cons: Long waits for seating and food

Southern fried seitan was delicious. Caesar salad confused me as there was no creamy dressing. The bbq jackfruit was decent. Portion quite big.

Best Vegan place in Austin! - Edit
This is my favorite vegan spot in Austin bar-none and I’ve tried all of them multiple times when I come to town. The staff is super helpful and friendly and the food is absolutely incredible. The only issue I have is that I always order way too much food and leave absolutely stuffed.

OK Brunch - Edit
I wish I’d gone here for another meal since most reviews comment on items not on their brunch menu. I was a bit disappointed by brunch and I think Vegan Nom across the street is much better food.

Some of the worst service I've seen at any restaurant. Wish I could say something better but go to Vegan Nom's instead (practically across the street).

Great all vegan restaurant - Edit
Counter Culture is definitely one of my favorite spots, but it is ALWAYS packed. Because of this, we don't go very often as we don't like a long wait. When we do happen to go, our food is always amazing and delicious. The prices are pretty high compared to other vegan restaurants and trucks, but it's not too big of a deal as we know they shoot for local, organic, and zero waste. My favorite thing to order is the mac n cheese! If not that, the reuben. They also have amazing desserts and plenty of gluten free options.
Read morePros: All vegan, Environmentally friendly, Gluten free options
Cons: There's usually a long wait, High prices, Little to no parking
