A Gem in Coeur d'Alene! - Edit
We fell in love with the Cosmic Cowboy, and wound up eating there three nights in a row on our stay! My boys devoured the hummus platter and housemade guacamole, my vegan "power" salad was packed with fresh vegetables, plump organic berries, and flavorful quinoa, and my husband declared his "Wisdom of the Ancients" the best rice bowl he'd ever had. When you go,make sure you save room for a big glass of their housemade lemonade. The flavors change daily and both the cucumber and rosemary flavors were our family's favorites. Staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, and the owner can often be seen bussing tables and chatting warmly with customers. This place was a real find for these weary travelers -- we'll definitely be back!

Read moreI am so happy they have vegan options but the vegan options they have are mediocre at best. It’s still easy to make delicious vegan food!! Just get a vegan chef to show you how. Prices are high and service isn’t that great either.

There’s something for everyone in our family here. The food is relatively clean. There’s lots of options that are vegetarian and a few vegan options. It’s made to order so you can modify. My kids like the mac n cheese and cheeseburgers. My partner and I usually order a sweet potato & black bean bowl. I got the beyond burger there once which was a nice treat. The salmon is really good, though a bit saltier than necessary. We like stopping here on return trips from skiing. It’s a comfortable place to relax.

A Little Hungry - Edit
Our fourth stop on our eating trip from Big Timber to Bellingham was Cosmic Cowboy. Last night after a dip in the lake, we ordered take away dinner for us and our four famished children. I am hoping our experience was an isolated incident, born from miscommunication and busy staff, but we ended the night a bit disappointed. We ordered 4 beyond burgers, a happy hippy wrap, and a mushroom Swiss (one non vegan among us ☺️). I asked for the burgers to be made vegan, and only after getting our food back to the hotel did I realize that must have meant excluding the bun. The wrap was tiny, but tasty, and the fries were divine (as fries tend to be hehe). I wish we had been advised vegan burgers means no bun, as the kids ate a messier and less filling dinner than we would have liked for $100.

Pretty good vegan options considering it is Idaho. The Sweet Potato & Black Bean bowl was good. I'm pretty sure the Beyond Burger can be veganized. My dad got it without cheese and aioloi. I asked the guy at the cash register (tall white guy with a neck beard) if the bun was vegan. He didn't know and was kind of a **** about it and didn't bother to ask, but I'm pretty sure it was. He called it a "rustic bun".

Cute place with the right idea, has a few menu items, and sides to choose from. Largest complaint is that twice I have eaten their and they serve diced sweet pot that are still slightly raw. They need to evaluate cook times. Salsa, guacamole and chips could use a bit elevation of flavor and less salt!

Love it, great all-around restaurant. - Edit
Very good foods. I have ordered several different meals here and was completely satisfied with service and foods. Place is super clean and has a great vibe. Family friendly and serves beers and wines as well. The live music can be too loud but still the performers are great. Just had breakfast tacos there today which were so good I had to leave a review.
