Best restaurant on koh Tao - Edit
This place is awesome! I tried the chili con veggie, veggie quesadilla, spinach/egg/cheese wrap, vegan banana bread, and the cinnamon/ginger kambucha. They were all incredible! The food is really filling and cheap, compared to other places like this.
Read moreThe chili and veggie quesedilla were really tasty and filling. The brown rice that was served with the chili was really good. The quesedilla was stuffed with all kinds of delicious veggies including pumpkin.
The banana bread was the best I've had in Asia. It had big chunks of chocolate, banana, and nuts on top, and it was served a bit cold, which was really refreshing. The kambucha was delicious. The taste was refreshing and subtle.
I ordered the wrap to go, before heading for my boat. It was delicious, and I was full for hours. It was packed with spinach, which you don't see much in Asia. Great meal with high protein.
This place is a must! They stay open after 5, but only serve some snacks to go with the drinks. Good place for a sunset.
Only negative: the Italian lady didn't seem happy to work there. She made me feel guilty every time I wanted something (like ordering or paying).

It deserves a 5-star grade! - Edit
Coconut monkey is a lovely place for everyone. Vegan and non-vegan. Many options, both for breakfast and lunch. The place is so peaceful with a view on the beach. Compare the quality of the food and the location, the price is quite affordable. I would expect to pay more.

Sehr leckere vegane Optionen - Edit

Great vegan options,Highly recommend - Edit
I was taking a 4 day dive course across the street and I ate breakfast and lunch here each of the four days! The menu has a special section for the Vegan options so it's super easy to know what you're ordering is vegan. They also have specials sometimes so be sure to ask! The tofu scramble breakfast is amazing

One of the best restaurants in Koh Tao. Delicious vegan food. I eat here every day. ❤️❤️❤️. I love the vegan breakfast and my girlfriend the Rainbow salad Bowl. Maybe they serve meat as well, but I would still see it as. Vegetarian restaurant.

Amazing! - Edit
We found this place out of luck on our last day. By far the best food we have had in Thailand. They have two full sections of vegan options. The vegan breakfast was so big for 120 baht. The manager Sarah was so lovely and helpful. 100% recommend this place :) My wife had the vegan breakfast burrito and the wraps and salsa are homemade and exceptional for only 80 baht. Also an incredible selection of vegan desserts like lemon cheesecake and snicker bars. Definitely recommend and would give 5 stars if we could!!!! Can’t beat the food OR the price.

Great vegan options!! - Edit
I went here for breakfast one day and got the vegan breakfast (scrambled tofu with pesto, roasted tomatoes, mushrooms, sweet and white potatoes and toast) - 120 baht - which was on the specials and it was amazing. The scrambled tofu and pesto especially! I also couldn’t resist the vegan snickers slice in the fridge and it was so so so good (if a little small) I’ve had about 3 since. They also have vegan truffles, peanut butter balls and other sweet treats - these were all quite small and pricey (45 baht or so) but that’s expected for vegan food like that.
Read moreWhen I went back next time, they’d put the vegan breakfast on the actual menu and put all the vegan dishes in one section which makes it a lot easier. I had the pesto pasta (without cheese) - 100 baht- which was pretty good.
It’s not expensive for western food on the island.
Pros: Vegan menu section, Friendly staff, Sweet options

The scrambled tofu is A-MA-ZING! But the hummus is average and lacks a bit of seasoning. The staff normally don't smile at you, nor make eyecontact, which i find very important.

Average... - Edit
Nice view of the bay, relaxing music and chilled atmosphere. Busy at lunch times. Nothing amazing foodwise. Not terrible, but not amazing either. The vegan options seem to be more limited than the reviews lead to believe. Maybe they've changed the ingredients? There were many things that could easily be made vegan, but they were very reluctant to make so. Overall not a bad experience, just nothing special.

Excellent food, but very crowded around lunch time. Its located at the harbour and if you visit at the right time, it's possible to sit by the ocean. Staff speaks good English. Bit experience like all the hip vegan option places in Koh Tao.

Very friendly and happy staff. Beautiful location with view over the water. Cozy design inside. If you ask they can make some things dairy free (like the falafel wrap. It comes with yoghurt on the side but without it it's completely vegan) Raw carrot cake and the powerballs are delicious! Loads of herbal tea for which you can choose your own tea-pot.

Nice place - Edit
Great view, really nice staff, but only one vegan main dish. No clear labelling of vegan, only signs for vegetarian, dairy free and gluten free. Also some vegan sides, desserts, smoothies and fresh (mix-)juices. Food is delicious! They put raw honey in many dishes, but they claim it is from a local organic farmer. In the evening a nice beach bar with snacks and smoothies (no dinner). Free WiFi.
