breakfast with a view - Edit
This has become our favourite breakfast spot over a week on Koh Tao, thanks to the tasty vegan options and beautiful view. Their vegan breakfast is delicious and very substantial for 120 THB - a very reasonable price for a hip Western cafe like this on the island. You get a huge pile of scrambled tofu, roasted tomato with house made cashew pesto, roasted potato and sweet potato, and sautéed shiitake mushrooms. The pesto scrambled tofu is really good value st 80 THB. Make sure you try their “Amazeballs” too! The peanut butter ball really hit the spot for me. Vegan banoffee pie looked incredible and I hope we have a chance to try while still on the island. My partner was a big fan of their homemade kombucha which even I had to agree was delicious, even though it’s not usually my favourite. They also have a well stocked bar at reasonable prices. Don’t miss Coconut Monkey for great food, relaxed atmosphere, in a lovely location.

Can’t beat the location, close to the pier and many dive shops, eat here often whenever on the island; best western vegan food on the island at decent prices. Bonus dogs

Perfect for brekfast and dinner! - Edit
It should be 5 stars. Food is so delicious! I think there is only few non-vege options- most are vegan. The brekfast is big - you can ask for a rice instead a bread if you are GF. They have also some sweets. The staff is lovely. And the view😄Not expensive if you compare with other restaurants on this island.

Incredible food and views. - Edit
What a little gem this place is. After a grim night bus journey to Koh Tao, this was the first place we tried and WOW, what a breakfast. Honestly the best food I've eaten in a long time and the smoothies are absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is so chill and staff were so so friendly. Will definitely be coming back.

Worthy of 5 Stars - Edit
I wish Happy Cow would let you give 5 stars to non-fully-veg restaurants because the Coconut Monkey is so great. They have a both a huge vegan breakfast and lunch/dinner section as well as vegan smoothies. Everything I tried here was fantastic. Really comfy and cool place to hang out. And literally next door to Master Divers, who I highly recommend for all your scuba needs.

Nice place to wait for the ferry. They have a large selection of vegan dishes. The wrap I had was too bland and dry for my taste. The vegan monkey shake was very good 👍🏻

This place is amazing. It has really good vegan options clearly marked in a separate part on the menu. There’s also vegan cakes/truffles in the fridge if you need to settle a sweet craving that are really good too. Would recommend! The price is a little higher but that’s the case with everything in cafes/restaurants on the island

This cafe is so cute! It opens out right onto the beach and we've come the last 2 mornings to try different foods while we relax! Ive had the vegan tofu eggs on toast which was absolutely delicious some of the best I've had! The homemade pesto was a little weird but might have just been a bit too strong flavoured for me. Ive also had a passionfruit kombucha and a slice of vegan chocolate banana bread which i recommend! Theyve got loads of vegan options including sweet treats, breakfast options and loads of lunch stuff too! Definitely recommend!
