Hummus like savory ice cream - Edit
Soooo good. I want to order one to go so I can do it all over again. Had the vegan burger? It had a scoop of creamy hummus, a crispy disc of falafel, and lots of melty yummy flavors, veggies including beets and carrots. I’ll be back!
Read morePros: Satisfying and flavorful. Bright upbeat decor.
Cons: Let’s make the whole menu vegan!

Great price at pricy area - Edit
Intendly visited this place for falafels and eggplant fries. The price was great and the place & atmosphere as well. It seemed they were trying to do free-plastics.
Read moreThere are some vegan cafes nearby. So that’s also a plus.
Pros: Price, Lots of vegan menus, A few vegan cafes nearby
Cons: Eggplant fries are pricy, Non vegan beers served i think, Need more spices in falafels

Loved it! - Edit
I had the vegan pita and baked cauliflower. Everything was so tasty and fresh. They have the best falafel I’ve had in Korea!! I wouldn’t come here on polluted days because they keep all the windows wide open, and I didn’t see any air purifiers either.

Tasty salad, great price - Edit
I wouldn’t go to Sinsa just to visit Chickpeace but if I have to be in the neighborhood this will be my favorite option. Really good option for vegan food in Gangam area. They have two all-vegan salads which are not just leafy greens but had plenth or beans, hummus (or is this pure tahini?) and other veggies. The falafels in “vegan salad (or plate?)” was really good!! The avocado version is basically just swapping falafels for avocado and 2,000 won more expensive. The price is really good too. 10,000 won for the vegan salad. The ambience is also nice and spacious. Was worried that it might be a snackbar looking but was much more chick than that. I liked it much more than other places also offering some vegan salad options. Ah they also have cauliflower roast.. which I should try next time. Ok, perhaps I will go to Sinsa for Chickpeace at least once.

Pros: Tasty. , Good price. Good portion, Nice vibr
Cons: Not too many vegan options.

Delicious, quick meal - Edit
The taste is great, but the portion of the falafel salad could be bigger. I would recommend it for a quick vegan meal :)

New Restaurant, New Vision, New Directions - Edit
You all need to check this place out. Chick Peace is the brain child of two young budding Korean restaurateurs, a pair of brothers educated in Berkeley, California. As of Christmas 2018, this place has been open for a grand total of 8 days. While it currently does have some Mediterranean-inspired meat dishes on the menu (ie. Chicken shwarma), the management has expressed really really wanting to go meat-free in the new year. Today they happened to launch a few vegan options, including some falafel + pita menu items. Their vision is to go vegetarian, if not totally vegan, provided there is enough consumer demand for meat-free / plant-based dishes. Their ethics and philosophy are well in tune with vegan folk, but the only way a venture like this can be sustainable is with a steady, dedicated consumer base.
Read moreThe only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because Happy Cow does not allow it for restaurants that serve meat. For what it's worth, the "vegan burger" (beet and falafal pita) I had was a perfect 10. Tasty, filling, and quite delectable when paired with the French fries. The espresso they use here in the americano is also quite crisp, with just the right after-taste of sweet and tangy. A noticeable difference in quality compared to the burnt beans every other place around here seems to use. This restaurant also serves beer on tap and (cold) house wine, if that is your poison.
It is definitely worth checking out, and not too far off the beaten path in Apgujeong / Gangnam areas. It is just a short walk from Sinsa station.
I really hope this place is successful. More and more of these plant-based food restaurants run by young Korean entrepreneurs keep popping up. Let's support the movement!
