Best sourdough in the city

Good bread isn’t always so easy to come by in Thailand, but this place absolutely nails it. We usually get their fresh sourdough baguette and occasionally buy a larger frozen loaf which works great for toasting.

As well as incredible bread, they make some stunning vegan cheeses, the muenster being our all-time favourite. They also sell butter, yogurt, tahini, hummus, small cakes and cookies, kombucha, chutney, various oils, snack bars and more, as well as a few non-edible goods including handmade wicker baskets and placemats, bamboo toothbrushes, organic soaps and other natural products.

This is actually where the restaurant Alchemy Vegan source their bread (and some of their cheese), so if you’ve tried their delicious paninis and wondered to yourself where they possibly find such wonderful bread in Chiang Mai, here’s your answer!

UPDATE, July 2023
Gutted! The best bakery in town has closed. Wish we’d found it sooner! To the few dedicated people that ran this place for so long, thank you for all your hard work, expertise, and hospitality. You will be greatly missed in both our hearts and our stomachs!

Amazing

Shopped here 3 times and each time the bread was delicious and the staff were really friendly!
Their bread is the best you will find in Chiang Mai for sure and their homemade vegan butter is the best I've ever had.
Each time we visited they gave us a little extra on top of what we bought which is really nice.

Pros: Sourdough bread is delicious , Best vegan butter I've ever tried

Cons: Nada

Best whole grain sourdough bread in Thailand!

I love bread, and I love sourdough bread. The whole grain sourdough bread is more than amazing! I love it with their humus or with fresh tomatoes, fresh avocados, or mango jam. :-D

Pros: vegan, inexpensive, tasty

Cons: not open in the morning for breakfast bread

Bread, Vegan Cheese, Nooch, the essentials

Was very pleased to find vegan cheese and nooch we could take home. The bread is great, but not as good as the vegan cheese. I was happy to spend a little extra on great stuff!

Pros: Delicious, Friendly

Cons: A little out of the way

Whole Grain

Do not bother buying gluten free here. Many better gluten free choices. Their whole grain products are much better.

Great Delivery Service and NOW SHOP!

They now have a shop in Nong Hoi where you can pick up y our orders! However, the most convenient is the delivery service as there is no delivery charge as long as you are within the city and spend 100 baht. Their service is fabulous. Everything is vegan. They do all kinds of breads as well as spreads (the peanut butter is amazing) and hummus. Seasonal salsas, brushcetta and more. Everything tastes great and they are so efficient.
