Vegan Delights at Tanya’s Kitchen! 🌱 - Edit
Whenever our compass points to plant-based goodness, we steer toward Tanya’s Kitchen—a culinary oasis for vegans.
Read moreOur Culinary Journey:
The food at Tanya’s is like a symphony of flavors—each note harmonizing with the next. 🎶
Our all-time favorite? The legendary El Cubano. Picture this: layers of deliciousness. Even non-vegans swoon over this masterpiece.
Today’s Trailblazing:
We veered off the beaten path and tried the Pastrami Mami. Sliced pastrami, sauerkraut, thousand island dressing, dill pickle, and gooey cheese—sandwiched on that same gourmet rye bread. A second favorite was born!
Feeling virtuous, I opted for the OhMyGatoTaco—a vegan twist on the classic taco salad. Fresh, crunchy, and guilt-free. But here’s the twist in the trail: my taste buds still yearned for my lunch companion’s sandwich.
The Sweet Oasis:
Brace yourselves, fellow desert wanderers! The Palm Desert location harbors a creamery dessert bar. 🍦 Soft-serve ice cream beckons like an oasis mirage.
My virtuous salad? It surrendered to the siren call of creamy indulgence. 🌵🍨
The dessert selection? A constellation of choices—each sweeter than a desert sunset. We’ll be back, no doubt.

Chef Tanya's Kitchen Provides Delicious Food For Vegans and Non-Vegan Alike - Edit
Excited to finally this restaruant and it did not disappoint! Upon entering the spacious restaurant, me and my coworkers were warmly greeted by restaurant staff. After reviewing the paper menu while waiting to order, I ordered a caprese tempeh burger with a side of smoked children pasta, while my coworkers orders the modern hippie veggie sandich with a boogie bar as well as a bowl of chili cheese crack fries and the daily soup.
Read moreOur food arrived quickly, was prefectly cooked and was delicious. I was plesantly surprised to see that in addition to this Chef Tanya's location having a restaurant, there is also a variety of vegan items for sale as well as a spearate areas of the store selling vegan soft serve ice-cream. Although my two coworkers aren't vegan, they thoroughly enjoyed their meal and said that they'd be willing to eat at the restuarant again.
With so many delicious things available to eat and cool things to buy, I will definitely be bringing my husband to this restaurant again sometime soon.
Pros: Generous portions, Friendly staff
Cons: Food might be pricey to some

Delicious! - Edit
We ate at Chef Tanya’s Kitchen multiple times while in town and were never disappointed. The sandwiches are really fresh - crisp veggies, soft bread, and melt-in-your mouth delicious. I’m totally addicted to their “crack” cheese and worked it into every meal except the El Cubano sandwich (which was wonderful). The cooler always contains plenty of treats if you’re craving something sweet - the Mexican Chocolate Pudding was our favorite!

Exceptional food & pet-friendly atmosphere - Edit
EXCEPTIONAL food and the choices are healthy! So often all-vegan places are trying to offer comfort food that is tasty but high in fat and salt. The food at Chef Tanya's is AMAZING and so, so healthy! And it's super pet friendly - my pup was welcome and they even have special dog treats if you ask for them. I ADORED the caprese tempeh sandwich - I'm torn between having it AGAIN and trying something new. Such hard choices! I need to go back again and again😄

What Native Foods could have been... - Edit
I've long admired Chef Tanya's cooking and am fortunate to have been one of the first to dine at the NF Westwood location where the Chef cooked for a while.

Flavors the melded wonderfully, lovely textures and filling. We grabbed a few deli items as well and were very pleased with those as well.
There was a lot of activity at the "creamery" but we did not have time to wait. Next time.

One of our favorite restaurants ever. We really love the pastrami mami sandwich and the French dip (a daily special) sandwich. The Palm Desert location is great because there is outdoor seating and the kreamery with oat milk based soft serve options.

Vegan Oasis in Palm Dessert - Edit
This is so much more than a food stop and in addition to an array of takeout and sit in breakfast and lunch/dinner options, you’ll find crafts and tee-shirts. Ordered the breakfast tostada and it was served on a freshly made tostada topped with beans, jalapeños and sprouted greens.

Pure goodness! - Edit
I had her food at an IronMan event in La Quinta and while it was the only vegan option available, I can eat Chef Tanya’s modern hippie sandwich 3 times a day everyday forever. My mother in law who isn’t vegan has been singing her praises for months now and it lived up to the hype and then some! The levain bread is outrageously good and while it is a veggie-packed sandwich, each ingredient sings beautifully on its own. I can’t wait to go visit her actual restaurant because I am hooked!! My daughter ended up taking half of my sandwich and all I heard from her was mmmmmmm!

The best pure vegan restaurant and store. - Edit
Absolutely love the Kreamery and the daily specials are great. The food is fantastic, service is always spot on but I have one little gripe, I’d like the store to move into a whole other unit on its own so that the dining areas can be just dining.
