I stayed Tulum 3days. Visited several veggy places, that one is the best. It's pity I discovered last day. My best recommendations!

worth it - Edit
Still thinking about these tacos a year after my trip to Tulum. Had a layover in Miami on the way home, where they have another location, and considered leaving the airport to go, but it would have been quite a close call to get there and back before my next flight. Might have been worth the risk. Definitely try a few different things! None disappoint.

So glad we visited - Edit
We got dinner here just before the sun set and this place is so cute! We got the taco sampler and elote. Great atmosphere in a nice outdoor setting. Worth the cab ride from our resort!

Their food is really good but you’ll need at least a couple of plates if you are any hungry. That will be expensive.

An evening at CVT - Edit
Our family started our dinner around 6 pm. We started out with Nachos Machos and that was simply awesome. We liked it so much that we ordered a second one. We ordered some items from the menu and we added hot sauce to most of the items. Over all the food was fine. It could have been spiced up a little bit more. I would try to visit during daylight to avoided the mosquitoes bites. This is a great location and the entrance is awesome and the ambiance is also very good.
Read morePros: Good menu choices , Very nice location and setting , Very close to the beach
Cons: Doesn’t accept credit cards , As the darkness sets in - mosquitoes get hungry

Best Molé sauce ever - Edit
To get to Charly’s was an experience. It is down a narrow road filled with pot holes. Driving isn’t the best way to get there!
Read moreThe drive was well worth it though for the best molé I have ever tasted. I had the enmoladas for 180 pesos and it was my favorite meal of my vacation. Some mole sauces can be too spicy, or a bit bitter. This one was perfection with just the right amount of spice and chocolate.
We also tried the plantain with the garlic cream and pumpkin seeds and it was deliciously sweet. The kale salad was also very good.
I would return to Tulum just to go Charly’s. The ruins and beach are pretty amazing too.
Pros: Tropical setting, Delicious , Artistic plating
Cons: Down narrow bumpy road

Can’t miss - Edit
Yep it’s a little pricey *relatively* but so is everything in this part of Tulum. Great variety, good portion sizes and overall delicious. I especially liked the toppings bar with all the pickled peppers and sauces. Definitely worth checking out when you’re visiting the area.

The best in Tulum - Edit
As if I didn’t love Tulum enough, this place makes me never want to leave! The falvours and textures are outstanding. The staff is so kind and friendly. I love the presentation of the food. It is a expensive compared to other places in Mexico, but the food is exquisite, well portioned, and filling. Definitely a must when in Tulum!

VEGAN SOUL TACOS - Edit

Amazing vegan tacos - Edit
We had the taco trio and everything on the plate was bonkers. I don’t know which was which but everything we ate was among the best vegan Mexican food I’ve had anywhere. Reasonably priced for Tulum. Highly recommend!

Over priced and small portions: meh - Edit
This place is for the man bun crowd. Not enough value. Cardamom soda taste like mold and the tacos were unremarkable. Pretentious joint.

Incredible! Amazing food - must visit in Tulum - Edit
We came here for dinner last night and it was some of the best food I have ever eaten! We had the machos nachos and Charly’s Signature Tacos and both were delicious. Definitely the best option in Tulum and well worth the journey from town.

You must go here! - Edit
We have been traveling to this area for over 25 years, and my son finally was able to find Charlie's tacos at the end of the hotel strip in Tulum. We are so happy we found it. Fresh-made tortillas, incredible ingredients, the nachos are amazing. This is a must for any vegan. And it is very reasonable compared to other restaurants.

Great food but overpriced - Edit
I honestly thought the food was very good. They make the yuba for their chicharrón in house, which was honestly the best I’ve ever had. But I had to take down for a couple of reasons:
Read moreFirst, the food is incredibly overpriced. It is important to keep in mind that they cater to the clientele of the zona hotelera (people paying hundreds to thousands of dollars a night for their hotel room), and the prices here certainly reflect that. I spoke to vegans and vegetarians living in Tulum and they don’t find it affordable. I also noticed that the price they gave in Pesos was lower than the price they gave in USD.
Second, they say they take card but the card machine seems spotty. They weren’t accepting card when we went, so be prepared with cash as backup.
Third, beware of the mosquitoes.
Overall, it’s a delicious place, but there are other better places to eat in the area that are more accessible to the average vegan traveler. Probably worth a visit if you’re willing to throw down the cash (or if for whatever reason you have no other access to vegan tacos).
Pros: Great food, In-house made ingredients , Friendly, attentive staff
Cons: Overpriced, Doesn’t always take card

Don't waste your money - Edit
I came here for my birthday meal and was extremely disappointed.
Read moreI ordered a taco and the enmoladas and both came topped with cream although this was not stated on the menu, I told them I don't eat this (I know it's vegan, I have just always hated the taste) but they said it was too late to change anything. I told them I would not be eating them but they said I would still have to pay, I didn't argue too much, I couldn't be bothered with drama on my birthday so just sat whilst my friend consumed her food. I then call the server over to ask for the wifi password so I could find some food nearby, he said that he had spoken to the kitchen again and they would make my meal with no extra charge, I thanked him a lot. The food came, it was nice but I've had nicer food in Mexico for a lot cheaper.
My friend was then violently sick during the night sooo not a good experience for us!
Pros: Nice decor
Cons: Expensive, Made friend sick

Amazing Food - Edit
Such good food. Went a couple times while in Tulum and loved it. We had the nachos and signature tacos. Both were so good. The atmosphere is awesome as well. The place is cash only though, despite what Happy Cow says. It was also a little expensive, but worth it in my opinion.

Awesome tacos yes but unjustifiably pricy - Edit
Great tacos! I don’t usually like Mexican food as it is way to heavy and unhealthy. However loved these tacos! Not sure if the price they ask for 3 tiny tacos is justifiable tough?!

Decent Tacos - Edit
This is a little food truck stop on the Tulum Beach strip. The food is pretty good, but it is insanely expensive... I mean, really expensive. It cost us $100 for taco plates for four plus juice and an appetizer. This is double anywhere else in Tulum charges. Not worth it if you ask me.
